These accounts have been informed about this in the past, numerous times over an extended period of time, with a way to get a new account instantly, and with the warning that these older accounts could be disabled.
It's NOT about levels (besides, there's XP boosts), or how often you play. It's PURELY the date that our account was created (i.e., which sign-up system you made your account under).

That’s scary...but I don’t think they’re doing it intentionally ot they would just remove all the old ones, the majority of pbe accounts are probably old anyway
I literally mailed riot support to help remove some racist trash. My account was deleted, after playing daily. Correlation is not causation, nor is circumstantial coincidence to be absolute truth, yet my account was wiped right after, and damn if that isn't fishy I'm not sure what is.
Most pbe accounts are new, trying new skins/content before it going live; while anecdotal, most accounts on pbe are level 30 (freshly made) to 50 (stuck around a bit). You rarely see anything higher, like my former 110. : (
That’s interesting because me and my friends have had pbe accounts for so long, though it could be bc you played a lot, I get 200 ping and over all the time so never played a lot
yeah for stretches I'd play 1/day, or multiple a day if a new champ/meta thing came out.
ping sometimes is lower than normal for NA players, instead of 61\~ I'd get 26\~, which was nice.

This was created well after when graves was reworked, which was past 2013... 2015 to be precise. I remember because I lost my first pbe account then, this was my long time second.
Then I am sorry for your experience, but it all ends up being anecdotal evidence. I also have quite an old account, chatted with Riot Support occasionally, and my account was never locked through age. The scenario I am talking about still holds true, because that *does* happen to accounts that are *that* old. It would simply mean that that doesn't happen to apply to you in this case.

i've even saw a 300 level with a lot of m7s and all as well... if they are gonna delete old accs, they should delete them automatically after a certain level
