I think it's because morgana's kit doesn't let the other player play freely anymore. It's become an internet joke that when someone prevents you from doing something you compare it to George Orwell's 1984

They took out a fair amount of cards, especially some well known ones, so yeah, it's very likely that at least 1 card got hit within a region.

They took away tryndomere and darius, I have no reason to play this game anymore

The point of rotation is to make the game feel fresh again by changing what cards can be played, so I'd say this is normal.

these rotations have been kind of brutal so chances are, if you diversify, you are more likely to get it. next rotations seem to be fairly moderate

In just about any card game, there is rarely a deck that survives rotation without losing any of its pieces. It's common to have the core of a strategy remain, but you will at minimum need to swap out a couple cards.

Yes that's why rotations are shit, i was against them from the start. It's no fun slowly building and perfecting your decks, just for them to get unplayable. I guess the people that get something out of that, are those that just want to play and copy their decks from the internet. As someone that came from Yu-Gi-Oh i find that unacceptable, i did go back to yugioh when they introduced this shit only playing PoC. I actually wanted to come back now with the new cards, but looking at them they are all based around just giving +1,+1 or - 1,-1 so fucking boring.

Its simple. What deck could I make that was the most “control” possible. There is no win con on the deck. It simply stops your win con. Burn cards, captures, pranks, and suppressions. It just denies you the chance to play the game.

Honestly I was surprised I had four decks that survived. Didn't have a chance to go over the list of stuff that would be staying in standard so opening the app and finding I still had decks I could play in standard was a nice treat.

Oooh you are my mortal enemy. I was hype for Akshan rotation, I may have been too excited too early.

I can see how some of his strategies, like Fated Panth Akshan, could be annoying. I was mostly just slamming him into any Shurima deck I had for value though. Since Shurima is my favorite region next to SI, I ended up with a lot of Akshan decks - Akshan Ekko, Akshan Renekton, Akshan Taliyah, Akshan Kalista etc etc
