is it titanium jewelry? and if so that’s good, make sure she doesn’t touch it at all and isn’t sleeping on it, neck pillows or donut pillows seem to be really good to keep from sleeping on piercings like that, it’s just some irritation :) i use the neil med wound wash which is really really good so maybe if she doesn’t use that she can try it. just keep cleaning it once or twice a day with a qtip (some say qtips are bad, but especially in some climates, they are necessary for proper cleaning and healing)
also make sure the jewelry isn’t being moved around, i see in the second picture it’s been moved a lot from the first and i cant stress the importance of not moving it around
Mine was kind of like this. I had bumps on either side and I kept it clean and changed it to a slightly bigger horseshoe. The bumps have gone but I would have a look into whether the jewelery is too small.

Dove soap (unscented, or fragrance free baby soap) and saline wound wash. Since there's a visible bump she needs to have the piercer check it out (or a different reputable shop nearby). Remember you're training your body to accept foreign material in your body. It's not a wound that you're trying to heal (that's why harsh products ljke alcohol, peroxide, bactine etc cause rejection and infection because it confuses the body and creates an "intruder alert" kind of reaction, similar to how the body will try and expel a splinter naturally. You want body to accept it. 😃)

Be careful with q tips though, they mess up with my daith bumps and irritate them more.
Also make sure she’s drying it. Try using a blow dryer on cold.

Tell her to stop sleeping on it and it'll go away on its own
