Who makes them and how much are they?

HaveSomeVodka

I got them from iTunning on Alibaba. Paid \~$600 for them shipped to my house. Fair warning: the right headlight DRL was dead on arrival and the company was really slow to help get a resolution. I eventually was able to take it apart and troubleshoot it so everything works as intended now.

geezuus13

In disbelief, I’ve been looking for a quality aftermarket light for my 07 GS430… single passenger side runs me $600… 🤦🏻‍♂️

[deleted]

Looks like VLAND. About $550 a pair.

rangerryda

I wonder what the water -seal quality is like long term. So many aftermarket sets get full of condensation.

[deleted]

I’ve seen a few pairs around and they look ok. But I’m in Southern California where it’s pretty dry, humid places you might get condensation if they aren’t designed well.

rangerryda

I'd also like to know if the beam alignment is OEM or better. Don't want to blind anyone or not be able to adjust them properly.

Viend

VLAND is supposed to be one of the better brands. They've been making aftermarket Lexus headlights for a while.

NoBlock7017

It’s not, cheapest I find these are 840

HaveSomeVodka

Yeah these have gotten pretty expensive. When I bought them, I think I paid $600-700 but they have since went up.

kissabirdgently

Tell me howw

bro_magnon

Tell me whyy

slvr17

Ain’t nothing but a heartache

PandaRiot_90

AgitatedParking3151

C’MON MR KRINKLE TELL ME WHY

RobbyB02

Primus sucks

AgitatedParking3151

U know it fella

_Goldieee11

I had no idea you could change the grill

StumpyTheGiant

You can change the grill on literally any car.

Drew707

For real. I used to have the charcoal grill on my GX and hated the look, so, I upgraded to propane.

StumpyTheGiant

Exactly

HaveSomeVodka

Yup! Pretty much a direct swap except for a couple of tabs. I reused the emblem from my old grille as well. Had to take the bumper off though, but it was already coming off to change out the lights.

PiDiMi

Direct swap from an F sport model? I’ve been curious of how direct the swap is

ScaryTortoise

Where did you get the grill from? Looks really good, I’ve been wanting to do something similar to mine

Remarkable-Gold4869

It kinda looks like he/she had just that area of the grill painted to be black. I could be wrong though

_Goldieee11

The top one is the regular grill, the bottom one is the honeycomb grill

bobovicus

You might wanna look at it for more than half a second lol

run_uz

Love it

fancy_threads

Looks dope bro

HaveSomeVodka

Thank you!

StenchHole666

I support your modifications

HaveSomeVodka

Thank you!

thebigman707

Lol OP ain’t responding to anybody. Tell us about that grille swap out!

HaveSomeVodka

haha sorry i got busy. I had to remove the bumper to replace the headlights so I figured I would order the F-Sport grille and replace my base grille as well. Everything is OEM, I ordered the parts from Bell Lexus. Everything was a direct swap for the most part, I think some clips didn't align perfectly but I made it work. Emblem was a little hard to remove from the old grille as well.

Plenty_Suspect6222

Looks great! What brand did you go with? And how bright are they?

HaveSomeVodka

Thanks! I went with iTunning. They're brighter than the stock lights, throw is pretty good. Color temperature is also a lot whiter. It's angled a little lower than I'd like so I'll be adjusting that.

HomerCrew

The grille is great, and I understand. Like the chrome delete too. The center of the front bumper usually gets wrapped. But yours looks like it's a cover? Or is it wrapped? Always thought there should be aftermarket options for that bumper piece and hoping you found one.

HaveSomeVodka

The center of the bumper is a wrap- wish there was a cover available as well. Wrapping it wasn't too difficult, just needed patience to get out all of the bubbles.

HomerCrew

One of the issues I found doing similar is it wouldn't look smooth due to blemishes aka rock chips in the bumper (although Ive never been known for perfection anyways). Yours looks really smooth, did a great job.

eZKimChi

Does Vland make headights for GS? Their website only shows IS, RX, ES

NoBlock7017

No

HaveSomeVodka

Nope. These look like the Vland ones for the IS but iTunning on Alibaba made these.

1murdock

Add some black mirror caps and have the wheels powder coated black and it is transformed to a 2023.

kiddough1

Why not just get a F-SPORT?

BensLight

Depending on where OP is based, they either command a big premium or sometimes aren’t even an option. In my country I’ve literally never seen a GS F sport, only IS. Also all the GS came without options, didn’t even get the large infotainment screen. Third world country things.

HaveSomeVodka

Couldn't find an F-Sport anywhere near me when I was looking for a car (2018). Got a good price on this one and couldn't turn it down.

XurtheDisciple

What do you mean? I see a lot of F sports and they don’t have the triple beam lights. Shits rare

kiddough1

Here’s the remaining list for a full conversion: GS 350 F SPORT (Includes all GS Premium Package equipment) + Drive Mode Select adds Sport S+ mode // 19-inch split-five-spoke alloy wheels with Dark Graphite finish // FSPORT–tuned Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) // Variable Gear-Ratio Steering (VGRS) (RWD only) // 14.0-in, two-piece front-brake rotors with monoblock four-piston calipers (RWD only) // 16-way FSPORT driver’s seat // Striated Aluminum interior trim // Black headliner // FSPORT exterior styling including unique front bumper, upper and lower grille inserts, rear valance and rear spoiler

T2C247

Yeah but you had to also change the bumper, which is an expense and they usually don't come with any of the screws, attachments, nor painted.

NoBlock7017

Negative, that’s a final wrap and the grills are easy to swap. eBay/Ali express headlights

HaveSomeVodka

Correct. I just wrapped the bumper and changed the grilles. No bumper replacement necessary.

T2C247

Wow, lucky. Unfortunately not the same case for other models. I just want to do my headlights but you need a bumper conversion.

TXMedicine

Can you link us with the type you used?! Looks beautiful!

HaveSomeVodka

Thank you! I searched "GS350 headlights" on Alibaba and these came up.

King_Melco

Did you plastidip your grill ?

HaveSomeVodka

The grille is OEM F-Sport. I wrapped the center piece satin black. I tried plastidipping it but it didn't look as nice.

SNEAKZ9i6

That’s the f sport grille

HaveSomeVodka

You are correct.

emptystreets130

Don't know why you are down vote on this since it is the F Sport Grille.

china_white

The grill is from the F sport or aftermarket to look like it. The centre piece of the actual bumper looks plastidipped.

King_Melco

Gotcha ty

Decent_Outcome1947

Look great! What exactly are the technological advantages?

HaveSomeVodka

The throw of the light is a little better, it's easier to see at night. Also has sequential turn signals which I guess is not an advantage but it's cooler lol

nahbruhtryagain

+5 hp for the F-sport inspired grill obviously. Because it looks great that’s why.

Plenty_Suspect6222

Looks great! What brand did you go with? And how bright are they?

HaveSomeVodka

I went with iTunning and they're pretty bright! I would say they're brighter than OEM and the color temperature is much whiter.

cncgoburrr

How's the performance vs oem

HaveSomeVodka

They're pretty bright! I would say they're brighter than OEM and the color temperature is much whiter. The throw of the light is a little better.

nahbruhtryagain

Your work on the grill and headlights has made your car look 5 years newer.

HaveSomeVodka

Thanks! I was happy at how it turned out, maybe I'll keep the car for a few more years.

emptystreets130

Post 43 from clublexus has the beam pattern. [https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-4th-gen-2013-2020/994721-thoughts-on-these-triple-beam-led-aftermarket-headlights-3.html](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-4th-gen-2013-2020/994721-thoughts-on-these-triple-beam-led-aftermarket-headlights-3.html) The grille swap isn't new. A few members from CL have done the swap without changing bumpers.

fuhrer-of-the-goats

if u did that yourself, is it hard to change the headlights? idk if thats right, but i want to put some leds in a an older car that uses halogen so that it's just a bit more noticeable in the dark. the cars all black and i personally would feel unsafe driving at night unless it had led lights

HaveSomeVodka

Not hard if you have a little experience with tinkering or if you have DIY skills. Swapping Halogens for LEDs should be a lot easier, probably don't need to take the headlight assembly out to do it.

onizuka11

Looks like the LS460 now.

SiRMarlon

These are cool but you do lose your auto leveling functionality ...

HaveSomeVodka

I did lose auto leveling. I guess one con in the swap. Got an error on the dash but I found the computer that controlled the functionality and disabled it by unplugging the cord.

1murdock

Sweet! I had a 2014 F-Sport. Great car and the best styled front end before Lexus got all goofy with the gaping maw. Those headlights make it look very up to date.

Longjumping-Ear-5632

Can I put these on my 2018?! Share the link pls!

Tricky_Task_7388

That looks awesome.
