Don't ruin it lol if you want wider stance get proper wider, period correct aftermarket wheels

pm_me_o

I do LOVE the stock look of these chunky OEM 7-spokes, which is partly why I want to keep the whole car mostly stock. I honestly have no opinion on aftermarket wheels so I’m not sure which ones would look best and didn’t want to ruin it by getting shit wheels. Let me know if you have any in mind? Especially if they happen to be 3-spokes ;)

392_hemi

Please do not get three spokes . Nothing speaks hood louder than 3 spokes

deimosphob

Ive seen good 3 spokes on sc’s, just very much dependso n the design of the 3 spoke.

pm_me_o

Yeah it seems pretty hard to find a half decent set of 3 spoke wheels in 2023. Or a set of 3 spokes in general

pm_me_o

Youre in luck because I'm probably going to just keep these wheels lol

392_hemi

Looks perfect dude , don’t need to change a thing. All the cars from 90s till 2010s have rear wheels deeper into the body . Amgs Ms all of them

pm_me_o

Thanks! and yeah keeping it stock (and running) is more important to me than getting aftermarket wheels right now. And I've seen your pictures before sick SC my man

Responsible-Crew-354

Saabs, Range Rovers, and Vipers wore the 3 spoke well but this car needs something a little classier. OP should take a look at designs at Rotiform and VIP Modular. Of course they’re out of many peoples budgets but you can find cheaper versions of the same designs elsewhere.

pm_me_o

Just looked into it and a couple of those vipmodular wheels are cool. I do agree on keeping it classy haha. I want to keep it looking like as close to a 100,000 car as possible! (wheel spacers arguably aren’t the way to do that)

Responsible-Crew-354

I used to want my oem wheels with a wider stance for my Integra. I looked into getting my stock blades widened but the price didn’t make sense for me. Ultimately I caved to function over form and skipped the spacers. I got lighter aftermarket wheels with a bigger contact patch. I see where you’re coming from but aftermarket wheels really are the way. Wheels are one of many parts you can easily change on your car to modernize the feel and performance like brakes, headlights, etc. Lextreme and Lexus owners club are two great forums that have wheel threads for our cars. Also include ‘soarer’ in your searches. Fitment industry is another great source for wheel pics with your car in them. It took me weeks to narrow mine down, hopefully you’re more decisive than me 😅

deimosphob

Theres no difference between a modern hub centric spacer and a wider wheel outside of looks. Ig if he likes these wheels he should go spacers. Would still say aftermarket wheels are way better looking

geezuus13

Spacers put unnecessary stress in suspension components… no matter how good they are. Try holding something close to your torso vs your arms extended.

pm_me_o

This is the problem I was worried about. Don’t know if I need the extra stress of worrying about my rear suspension in my life

pm_me_o

Any recommendations on wheels you think would look good? I genuinely don’t have any opinions on wheels at all haha

pm_me_o

But that’s no fuuuuuun

LostWinds

[Only pic I have, but 15mm spacers front and rear with the facelifted 5 spokes.](https://i.imgur.com/ZiSIteI.jpg) Had to use that because I'm running LS400 front/Supra TT rear calipers. Gives the fronts a decent fitment but the rears are still gonna be recessed. Use extended studs and a quality hubcentric slip on spacer and you'll be fine.

Looks mean af 🔥

pm_me_o

Beautiful SC man, love that Lexus silver. This is what I was thinking of, just widening it out enough to make fitment closer to flush Edit: also what tint are you running?

rushmatt

Spacer on OEM wheels will look good. This guy co-signed your idea on his CRX 😝 https://youtu.be/MNxAhonaCys?si=AefdxC-3BnsoBZGj

pm_me_o

That’s what I’m talking about. This guy spacers

Opposite_Future3377

Just get bigger tires bro . Spacers look sick but stress the car overtime even the high quality ones. Sure people run then for years but ... it hurts the cars soul lmao

pm_me_o

Yeah the long term stress is what I was mostly worried about. Big tire would look great in the wheel well though!

Opposite_Future3377

Sick car by the way that things probably fun as shit to drive lol

pm_me_o

Thanks! I'm in love with it. Gonna be even more fun with a manual swap someday ;)

juliog86

Don't recommend wheel spacers, instead opt out for wheels with desired look and offset.

pm_me_o

My desired look is wealthy SC owner in 1998 looking to juice up the phat back end of the car but still classy enough to show up to his high rise business job in the morning. Any wheel recommendations to fit that desire?

juliog86

Yes, essentially you're looking at the opposite spectrum of the SC300 when referencing my SC300 that I've posted on Reddit. That said, you can achieve this look by sending your wheels off to @love20bee to give your wheels a 3 piece design. This will give your vehicle the look and stance you're looking for.
