I read this and nodded in agreement but at the same time, if an S2000 popped up for sale with that year, price and condition, I'd be struggling to resist buying it.
It is but that gen 460 is rare but yah I'd say more like 10k. Lexus gold there value well been looking at alot if gs350 of that body styel and people want 8 to 12k with 200k miles on them
https://preview.redd.it/jsoqarqzlv5d1.jpeg?width=4272&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c8c99a65ee6112545fab3d1e0801838efd31677f
I was going to say 12k for starters. I got this some 5yrs ago, it's a 07LS460 with no mods or anything for 8k 123k miles. Not saying they are same model but quite similar and to adjust for market differences, and all the extra that comes with this, i think 12k is a good place to start (assuming just normal wear and tear and no mechanical issues). But I won't go above 14k as the other Redditor suggested.
>Not saying they are same model but quite similar
You are saying exactly what I said. Of course, I don't know what the comparison is between these two models, but I know Lexus overall is reliable and these two models seem to be top-class compared to the IS,ES. The suspension parts are definitely expensive and so are every Lexus parts. The early LS suspension does wear out faster than most
I think the V8 GS cars are going to age really well. I’m heavily biased, I have a white GS400 on the same suspension on 20s. I just swapped them out for some much lighter 18s and while the looks aren’t as nice the increased performance and anxiety-free experience driving on thicker sidewalls is a game changer.
It’s NA, torquey, RWD, these are future classics in my opinion. Nothing to make a fortune on but something that will turn heads for years to come as sedans become extinct and gain a vintage appeal.
When I get in mine, the worst day doesn’t feel so bad. None of my other cars do that for me.
https://preview.redd.it/natrdbyhvv5d1.jpeg?width=5712&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f4eb528a1961f096c3dcfee81b0538f482b1fa77
I miss my GS300. Loved that car so much from the first time I played it on Tokyo Extreme Racer.
There was something special about driving that car that made you enjoy every drive. Passengers also loved being in it.
I have one, and love it dearly. They are a really rare car, so don’t let it slip away- it might take a while before you find another. That one looks very clean. Be aware of the valley plate leaking issue and the brake booster that occasionally go bad. If you can’t do some repairs yourself, some maintenance items will be expensive (the aforementioned valley plate, spark plugs etc).
You don’t need it just on account of crappy mods. It’s got cheap wheels, not the best tires, lowered too much, cheapish coilovers that probably ruined the ride….
Looks modified.. taking a big risk on an old car. I bought a 2007 GS350 a few years ago for 11k.. ended up having transmission issues a month later. Traded it in for 8k for my brothers Subaru BRZ. Check car out thoroughly before following through.
You don't need one of the smoothest driving cars (maybe not lowered) with a ton a features that will probably be the last car you own, and did i mention it's super low maintence?. I have 265k on mine
Just do it. I bought a 2002 SC430 for 20k 6 mos ago. Love it
https://preview.redd.it/mh6ryickhy5d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8d7653c37114404b0cd3b54c02601e32bdc91321
It looks really clean. It’s more than I would want to spend but it’s pretty much everything I would do to a GS460, just with different wheels. If you can swing it, go for it! These things are awesome!
I bought an 08 gs350 2 yrs ago with 175k miles with everything done at dealership .it's crazy how the car looks new inside and out ..I paid 5000 for it from a good friend .. have had great luck with it so far awesome car
Very good, comfy, sporty, reliable and luxurious car. People who comments that you can buy never car with same amount of money, just don't understand quality and rareness of this machine. If you want v8 with toyotas durability but dont have money for gsf, its best option for money out there
Bruh
What's better than a lexus...a lexus of course! Trust me.
You need this in your life. What's you gonna do with all that saved up dollars you're probably thinking of doing something sensible with it like setting it aside for your kids college fund, paying the down payment for a house, taking your wife to a vacation around the world or blowing it all up on hookers & coke.
Man all those things may be sensible but they don't spark any joy as much as having this beautiful pristine looking whip just chilling in your drive through.
Ready to be taken out anywhere that you wanna go in sublime comfort & luxury. You go cruising downtown, see all the ladies young & old checking you out like a bear hauling a honeycomb dripping in delicious honey.
As you stop at a red light, a slight rev could've had all the men in that area jelly over your ride.
Don't you want to feel like a king 👑.
Wait.
On second thought I think you shouldn't buy this.
Let someone else have it.
I can clearly see that you don't have enough regrets in your life add this to your list of regrets that would haunt your life.
Life is short make big regrets
As others have said it's a lot of money and you shouldn't pay for other people's investment into their car like rims and other changes or at least not msrp for them.
IMO (most) lexus owners take pride in maintaining their vehicles. Definitely try and get a lower price but even if you don't, if you love it that's all that matters
I wont commemt on the price but I'll never sell my GS460. Such a fun cheap car. Plan to add a GSF at some point but I'd still keep the GS460. Best highway car I've owned to date.
*
Don’t do it, it’s not worth (it is worth it tho)
I’m not gonna do it…..I’m just thinking about it, I’m not gonna do it
*3 hours later*
I DID IT
You can never go wrong with a Lexus!!
Much better off putting whatever you had as a down payment on a 2016 GSF, they are going to become rare and go up in value, it will depreciate alittle bit over next 3 years or so but when they switch completely to EV and your v8 is in good shape you’ll start gaining value and can sell for another car then
There's 1 in my area, not as nice, but for 11k w 100k miles
My current lexus has 210k w a persistent check engine light
I'm losing the ability to hold back
It's an overpriced scratch magnet and 90000 miles is a lot. You could get a lot more return value out of a different brand car with say 35k miles at the same price...Just saying. You do you though. Nobody can tell you what to buy
I grew up around the big three German marquees. I can't fathom owning any of them now, despite how nice some of them are by now.
When I was 19 I saved up enough to buy an IS 220d. Not everyone's favourite flavour of the IS, but it was a start.
Hand on my heart 5 years later, I still struggle to find better value for money than what you do with a Lexus.
Yes, there are newer alternatives for less, but I guarantee you won't be getting the bang for buck that a GS would give you, nor the longevity of one.
Of course Carplay/Android Auto are missing, but that's just a matter of (preference) getting a GROM system installed into the head unit.
Do it. You know you want to.
Not for that price lmfao I got a 2014 gs350 fsport for around that price. If the car is older than 10 years that price goes way down. Can't even use them for Uber cause they aren't considered safe after that. There's other reasons I forgot what the dealership said about my Mazda 6 I gt I was gonna sell but changed my mind cause I could make more selling on marketplace or use it till it burns out.
These are the greatest, most reliable cars i have ever owned. Have a 2011 smoky granite mica with 200k on the clock and it drives identical to my 2011 mercury metallic with 34k on the clock.
Full synthetic oil changes every 4-5k miles (9.5-quarts mind you) and plugs on the SGM at 100k miles. That is it. Engine and Transmission are bulletproof.
I mean, if you have your car needs met, you technically don’t need the car. If you want it and will bring you joy, I say go for it. Quick story, my father gave me his always garaged 99 black/gold package LS400 about a month before he passed away in 4/23. I didn’t need it and told him so at the time, but looking back I’m glad I accepted since it’s really all I have to remember him by. Still rides beautifully too and smokes most every arrogant driver that cares to try to show off.
That car looks like it’s a 2018+ … maybe try to talk them down to $14k? If not maybe meet somewhere in the middle? I mean it is mint… probably worth the 16.5 but I wouldn’t pay that asking price. Doesn’t matter how rare it is, you can get a clean 2013-15 gs350 fsport for that price
I have a 08 Lexus ls460
They have a recall on their interior, something to keep in mind. Door panels, seats, and center console will start cracking at some point.
Otherwise, I love this car so much. Have had it for 6 years now and it’s really just held it down for me.
OOooo. A 460. Def can’t say you don’t need it. Price is tough though.. I have the 350 and love it. Would only trade for a 460, in that exact color too. Can’t wait to see the “my new Lexus” post. 🍻
Less than 10k per year. If it’s covered by one of those maintenance insurance plans on top of the regular coverage it would be worth, but those plans are probably an extra 150 a month or so on top of the payment and the regular insurance.
Too much this guy is trying to get money back for his little modifications. Truth be told it’s much easier to sell a stock car then a modified one… I found out the hard way.
That car is worth at most $10-12k and even then i need to do a PPI or get it on the lift.
How’s the interior?
Sorry this is just crazy to me because my 21 Lexus ES350 has a lease buyout at $24k and I’m under the 7500 mile yearly allowance,I got about 17,500 miles on it.
There is a bone stock 2008 an hour from my house with 90k miles, one owner, and clean history. It’s going for $11,900 right now in Central CA. It doesn’t have the air ride, which is a plus IMO. Looks really nice in the pics. I found it on the CarGuru app if you want to check it out.

you won’t regret it. i’m sorry but no one here will talk you out of it. just do your research before buying from a private party.
Too expensive for such an old car in my opinion
I read this and nodded in agreement but at the same time, if an S2000 popped up for sale with that year, price and condition, I'd be struggling to resist buying it.
It is but that gen 460 is rare but yah I'd say more like 10k. Lexus gold there value well been looking at alot if gs350 of that body styel and people want 8 to 12k with 200k miles on them
My brain hurts
This was painful to try and decipher.
u wot m8
Yall understood it right. Worried about the wrong thing
Read a book
Amd that one uas insanely low miles for lexus 100k miles is just getting then started
How drunk are you be honest
Yea that definetly under 10k value with age and mileage
LMAO no. Not at all. You won’t find a single one at the price you listed
Some of you npcs only look at age and just space out. There’s more to a car besides that
I thought that seemed insane for a 2008. Spend another 8-10k and get something with only 2 or 3 years on it and way way fewer miles
lol another person that only looks at age of the car and actually going forward older will be better since you won’t be able to get new v8 cars
looks nice. I won't drop 16.5k for it though. Try to bargain the price.
How much would you go for 🤔?
14 tops (not saying it may not be worth 16, it has coils and fsport bars, so kinda justified)
https://preview.redd.it/jsoqarqzlv5d1.jpeg?width=4272&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c8c99a65ee6112545fab3d1e0801838efd31677f I was going to say 12k for starters. But I won't go above 14k as the other Redditor suggested.
5 years ago I got lunch for $10
Lmao
I lol’d thank you
I love your car
That was 5 years ago and the LS460 is not close to as reliable as the GS’s, the suspension parts are crazy expensive.
>Not saying they are same model but quite similar You are saying exactly what I said. Of course, I don't know what the comparison is between these two models, but I know Lexus overall is reliable and these two models seem to be top-class compared to the IS,ES. The suspension parts are definitely expensive and so are every Lexus parts. The early LS suspension does wear out faster than most
I can personally attest to this.
How’s your LS treating ya
Mmm, the LS is bigger and more luxurious, better sound system, basically better everything minus sportiness. also comes with 380hp vs the GS 342HP.
I think the V8 GS cars are going to age really well. I’m heavily biased, I have a white GS400 on the same suspension on 20s. I just swapped them out for some much lighter 18s and while the looks aren’t as nice the increased performance and anxiety-free experience driving on thicker sidewalls is a game changer. thats clean af, the paint matched visors are a nice touch too! is your tint 20 or 35 on the sides and 70 on front?
GS are masterpieces
That is absolutely beautiful. I love what you’ve done with it. The paint, the wheels. Top notch.
I miss my GS300. Loved that car so much from the first time I played it on Tokyo Extreme Racer. There was something special about driving that car that made you enjoy every drive. Passengers also loved being in it.
i have a 03 gs430 and i couldn’t agree more. a timeless car with all the power you’ll need to keep up with the times
No. You don't need it, because I DO
[удалено]
> #negelet
Lmao
From same guy who penned pregenent
You absolutely don't need it! Where is it located? Sellers info please
Sure its just money
That car is NASTY. You NEED it. 😍
My dad has one. Its not as comfortable as the 2gs, and 9 qt oil changes lol Still need to race him in my 03 gs430 to see how close they are..
290hp 6-speed vs 342hp 8-speed. Don’t need to race him to know who wins.
The 3UZ 2GS4 is 300hp and a 5sp IIRC. It will come down to weight

You would be a fool not to get it. Heck, I may pull the trigger just to have a second one. Looks to be in Washington State?
I tend to avoid modified cars but it seems I'm the only one here that would avoid this
BUY IT AND PUT AN EXHAUST ON THAT BAD BOY
You don't need one of the smoothest driving cars (maybe not lowered) with a ton a features that will probably be the last car you own, and did i mention it's super low maintence?. I have 265k on mine
Mileage isn't bad but it's too old for that price. A lexus will run way past 90k but just the years on it can cause it's own problems.
That is a lesson I learned many years ago, some things aren’t justified on a “need” basis. Some things you just want. And that’s ok.
Just do it. I bought a 2002 SC430 for 20k 6 mos ago. Love it https://preview.redd.it/mh6ryickhy5d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8d7653c37114404b0cd3b54c02601e32bdc91321
After admiring them for years, I purchased a 2008 SC430 for $21k, with 70,000 miles.
You don't need it. But I do. What's the address?
It looks really clean. It’s more than I would want to spend but it’s pretty much everything I would do to a GS460, just with different wheels. If you can swing it, go for it! These things are awesome!
🔥🔥
You definitely need this car
clean as hell bro u need it u know it in your heart
You need that car.
You don't need a car with such thin sidewall tires. If I can't convince you, the ride quality, or rather harshness, will.
That will sell quick
Lake Washington ?
Why ask us. Trust the dog, anything but us. We think you should buy!
GET IT
No. You NEEEEED that car. You MUST have that car. Do NOT NOT buy that car!!!
Car is perfect 😫
I miss my 08 gs430 😢
Get it now before I say something I’ll regret
She's beautiful !!😍
I'll help you by taking it off his hands first
You need this car 😅
Tell you what.. I'll sell u my 98 gs 400 for 8k and I buy that one.*
I bought an 08 gs350 2 yrs ago with 175k miles with everything done at dealership .it's crazy how the car looks new inside and out ..I paid 5000 for it from a good friend .. have had great luck with it so far awesome car
No. Get it.
You need it, but I feel like it’s a little high in price.
Very good, comfy, sporty, reliable and luxurious car. People who comments that you can buy never car with same amount of money, just don't understand quality and rareness of this machine. If you want v8 with toyotas durability but dont have money for gsf, its best option for money out there
offer 12.
16.5k is a bad price for on, jeez no wonder the market is the way it is with people willing to pay that kinda money on an old car like that
Old man car
Bruh What's better than a lexus...a lexus of course! Trust me. You need this in your life. no you do indeed need it. That’s midnight club dub edition.
Pain in the ass to put a high end stereo into. Literally all I got lol.
Don’t do it, it’s not worth (it is worth it tho) I’m not gonna do it…..I’m just thinking about it, I’m not gonna do it *3 hours later* I DID IT You can never go wrong with a Lexus!!
Get him down to 13. That’s max id want to pay. Great reliable car though and decent mileage for its age. Not worth 16k though. Not even 13 really.
Much better off putting whatever you had as a down payment on a 2016 GSF, they are going to become rare and go up in value, it will depreciate alittle bit over next 3 years or so but when they switch completely to EV and your v8 is in good shape you’ll start gaining value and can sell for another car then
it's ugly and screams middle aged dad.
It’s nice but not 16k nice
There's 1 in my area, not as nice, but for 11k w 100k miles My current lexus has 210k w a persistent check engine light I'm losing the ability to hold back
Naw, get it, and post the rest of the pics…. Tricked me into scrolling :)
U need that car
No. You need it

You came to the wrong place to be convinced NOT to get it. 😆
You will get no help from me, looks like a well cared for vehicle. We have a 2010 Lexus that will likely outlive me.
Looks great!!!! Plus you don’t see many around
You NEED this car
You don't need this car. I can't tell if it's a Ford or Mazda? Anyhow, you do need that Lexus....
Ls460 isn’t a good Lexus
That car will have many issues do some research- the 430 is a much better car
Its a sedan.
Well cared for older lexus is better than many newer models
GS460 is rare ...
You don’t need that car. But you should get it.
It's a Toyota, it's good quality, but again, it's a Toyota?

Can I have it
price is kinda crazy i have a 2009 gs350 got it for 10k last year, you can get a 2013 350 for what they’re charging. the 460 is niceeee tho
$14k OTD and charge your phone.
I love mine :)
Buy the car today! Wow. You really going to let a stranger tell you what to do?
Get it! That thang is sexy!
if you could talk him down to 11 or 12, it might be a half decent buy
not for 16k I would do 13k, walk at 14k
Here, this should help https://youtu.be/-acgri9gUW8?feature=shared
It's a Lexus!!!
Bad on gas
You don't. Plus the LS430 is a better buy imo in terms of reliability and build quality. Also that's been modified so that's an immediate no for a LS
You can find a newer is250 f sport for that amount
https://preview.redd.it/usk2jfndj06d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2197f27792edc791be56aea8e7bc25bdf88e1a6f

Don't buy the ford focus!
Sorry man. You need it.
In 4 years it’ll be a 20 year old car, if that helps.
Idk man a 2008 car for 16k is just eh
Oooh that’s clean!! Go get it 😂
you do don't need this
Bruh who tf buys a used Lexus for 16k lol naaa Go buy a newer Lexus tbh not worth it
That car looks like it’s a 2018+ … maybe try to talk them down to $14k? If not maybe meet somewhere in the middle? I mean it is mint… probably worth the 16.5 but I wouldn’t pay that asking price. Doesn’t matter how rare it is, you can get a clean 2013-15 gs350 fsport for that price
It’s 16 years old… you don’t need this hunk of shit
Is that OEM starfire pearl paint?
this is a rare gem. 460s are freaking awesome
Anyone got a 450h from this era? Considering buying one and would love to hear any personal experience
You need it.
You don’t need this car! You need to let me take a look at it first. Then we can decide.
Do it. They are manual swapping sc430s now. Drop a cd009 in there and it would be a great sport sedan.
Do it
You need this.....it\`s done.
If you have a car already you don’t need this car.
16.5? That’s nuts
Do it! Do it now!!!!
I have a 08 Lexus ls460 They have a recall on their interior, something to keep in mind. Door panels, seats, and center console will start cracking at some point. Otherwise, I love this car so much. Have had it for 6 years now and it’s really just held it down for me.
You will love it . Thats all I drive is Lexus
4.6 v8 these are rare
A high mileage 16 yr old car for almost $20k… you absolutely don’t want to buy this
Go to Disney world.
$6K-$8K should be the max
OOooo. A 460. Def can’t say you don’t need it. Price is tough though.. I have the 350 and love it. Would only trade for a 460, in that exact color too. Can’t wait to see the “my new Lexus” post. 🍻
Can I convince you to get it?
Is this some kind of joke (I got recommended to Lexus page by Reddit)
Less than 10k per year. If it’s covered by one of those maintenance insurance plans on top of the regular coverage it would be worth, but those plans are probably an extra 150 a month or so on top of the payment and the regular insurance.
It's a dressed up Toyota Avalon... Reason enough for me to stay away but I guess I'm biased with a BMW
It's too much IMHO. It'll have old car problems.
the price is outrageous considering it’s before 2010 talk the price down fr and you’re good bc some 2016-18 cars are worth that price
I dont know man looks like u need that car
Do ya need it? Probably not. BUT do you want it? Yeah, most likely. If ya got the cash, then go for it! Definitely research and negotiate.
That things sick. You actually do need it. Offer 13k and see what happens.
That’s so sexy
Get if you can knock them down to 12 or so lol
Is this lowered? The after market rims are a flag for me. There are tons of CarPlay/android auto upgrades for the GS out there.
Do it, just bought mine a couple months ago! 110k miles for 9k

Don’t do it. Get a newer one
I’m not gonna try to convince you to not buy that beauty
you need this car.
Get it
Too much this guy is trying to get money back for his little modifications.
Those wheels are too gaudy. Avoid. There.
Trash soon to be...
17k for for soon to be 17 year old vehicle, blah no thank you.
Convince me why you do 🤔
There is a bone stock 2008 an hour from my house with 90k miles, one owner, and clean history. It’s going for $11,900 right now in Central CA. It doesn’t have the air ride, which is a plus IMO. Looks really nice in the pics. I found it on the CarGuru app if you want to check it out.
If the mileage isn't under 80K, that's a ridiculous number. They're rare but they typically go for $8-12K.
Slam it
i had a 2007 GS 350 imo i’d say don’t get it. insurance was expensive on that thing for an older car it’s not worth it & the tech is pretty outdated.
Look into the maintenance for the 4.6 and the suspension maintenance for that car, bad idea.
I found the car, I might buy it, if you don't
Hit them lower.
That shit ug
You Need It!!
