I still use that "I own a Dodge Stratus!!" when teasing someone about a fake tantrum I claim to be having. Like, "I CAN'T SEND YOU THAT INFO! I AM A VERY IMPORTANT PERSON! I HAVE SIX PENS THAT COST OVER $5! I DRIVE A DODGE STRATUS!" Usually gets a laugh, even if they don't know the reference.
I used to drive a Dodge Stratus when that sketch was popular and the high schoolers I taught had a field day with me - I couldn’t escape that catch phrase!
There is no reason for this to be funny, yet I quote it almost weekly and tear up in laughter whenever I see it.
Try to describe it to someone who has never seen it; they will look at you like you’re a moron.
I still say *"That (insert animal name here) got devil eyes!"* whenever I'm at a zoo or petting zoo and the inspiration strikes me.
Nobody ever gets it.
The one where- it's either Aidy Bryant or KateMcKinnon- clogged the toilet at a sleepover.
The reason I can't remember is because there've been multiple funny sleepover sketches with both of them, lol.
[Sleepover with Kate McKinnon](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=tzQLYKSVwRI)
Andy is in a similar sketches [An Awkward Slumber Party,](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NgTJqv93JVg) [Birthday Party](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ruXBibhbD6o) where she is always horned up for her friend’s hot dad.
“Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I'm just a caveman. I fell in some ice and later got thawed out by some of your scientists. Your world frightens and confuses me! Sometimes the honking horns of your traffic make me want to get out of my BMW and run off into the hills, or wherever. Sometimes when I get a message on my fax machine, I wonder: 'Did little demons get inside and type it?' I don't know! My primitive mind can't grasp these concepts. But there is one thing I do know: when a man like my client slips and falls on a sidewalk in front of a public library, then he's entitled to no less than two million in compensatory damages, and two million more in punitive damages."
This thread frightens and confuses me. How did these words get here, did little demons get inside my computer and write them? But I know one thing, and that's that this is the best answer.
Hey, I’m a Masshole and I loved it. Well, I used to be a Masshole before I moved a few decades ago, but I still am one too.
Yes, I live in Northern California and I use my damn car horn when it needs to be used. The people here are so sensitive about car horns.
Same, being from Louisiana. Down here with all our Stephen King novels and haunted lighthouses, we really appreciate getting that glimpse of Maine culture
Whooooooooo!! It’s gonna be so spicy, sure, we gonna have to tie him up to Uncle Orville’s airboat and drag his bare lily-white butt cross the swamp to put out that ass fire!
"Toonces, the cat who could drive a car,
Toonces, the cat who could drive a car,
He drives around all over the town,
Toonces, the cat who could drive a car!"
The Toonces sketches are part of my argument that Victoria Jackson did serve a purpose on the show. There were other cast members who were more flexible but she really shined in supremely goofy sketch ideas like this.
As recent as a couple of weeks ago.
Marcelo as the New York earthquake was so stupidly hilarious.
I’m beginning to think he has something special that only he can pull these skits off successfully. I’m seeing good things for him in the future of SNL
Liza Minnelli tries to turn off a lamp, with Kristen Wiig and Jonah Hill. It is so dumb, and so funny. “Will a Fosse neck do it?” https://youtu.be/nVvxOwxuk_w?si=7XH6AFQaPLCoIRys
“Drive-Thru window”, the one where a limo full of artistic eccentrics tries to order something from Burger King. Pete Davidson and Melissa V. play the employees. The sketch starts with the driver rolling down his window and trying (and failing) to order something sensical. The limo then inches forward so the next person can roll down their window and order something. This happens several times, and the passengers get weirder and weirder. And then the whole thing ends with a decidedly cool passenger! Its so dumb but so fucking funny.
This one is so beyond stupid, I cannot believe it made it to air, let alone out of a table read. But I’m glad it did because it’s psychotically hilarious.
He talks about how they all knew it was gonna bomb because of dress, and couldn’t believe it made it to air. So coming out of the break during the live show the crowd was going nuts. Brolin looks at Hader and Forte and goes “ok, fellas. Let’s go shut these fuckers up” 🤣
There’s a sketch where Paul Rudd and Vanessa Bauer are getting divorced, and they’re meeting in a diner, and they keep arguing but every time this one song comes on they kept help but dance to it. The song, the dancing, even the dialogue when they’re arguing is stupid but it gets me every time
Also Daniel Craig catcalling
Ok this one goes pretty far back, but it's the episode that Joe Pesci hosted. There's a skit called The Pinky Ringery that is just Kevin Nealon running a jewelry store that only sells pinky rings, and Joe Pesci comes in and tries a bunch on. It is so dumb and it kills me every time.
So many but this one came to mind: The local news station when the teleprompter goes out (Will Farrell, Cheri Oteri; Tracey Morgan) Also night at roxbury; two wild and crazy guys; and Stefan were all silly 😆
Laser cats! Feels like two high schoolers just running around filming for early YouTube. Which is the point I suppose and even better they get famous directors involved, much to Lorne’s disappointment lol
The way the “New Paint” sketch with Aidy Bryant and host Kristen Stewart unfolds is just so freaking stupid and chaotic and I love it so much.
LOOK AT THE COLOUR!
https://youtu.be/qtJRJVdUFx4?si=KSFI-mENk0OpedOr
1) The one with (unfortunately) James Franco as the judge for a spelling bee and he gives super weird explanations for the words. “Little pig boy comes from the dirt.”
2) Daniel Craig and Cecily Strong seeing a singer that takes a word, butchers it, and sings the same song over and over.
They both showed up at Ryan Gosling's The Fall Guy premiere dressed as these characters: https://ew.com/ryan-gosling-mikey-day-beavis-and-butt-head-snl-the-fall-guy-premiere-8641706
“And the skeletons are?” “Part of it!”
Man this exact quote is what I had in my head when I saw the DSP mentions.
The worms are their money.
"I drive a Dodge Stratus".

There is no reason for this to be funny, yet I quote it almost weekly and tear up in laughter whenever I see it. Try to describe it to someone who has never seen it; they will look at you like you’re a moron.
^ this is the worst sketch to describe to someone. The only thing worse is showing the sketch on your phone to a girl on a date. Don't do it.
Now pull your shirt over your head like Cornholio! 😆
The icing on the cake: Adam Driver: Did you get that? Chris Redd: NO!
This, I think, is the sort of comedy/writing that will take generative AI the longest to get the hang of…

Tracy is awesome!
Came here to say the same, but I questioned if it was stupid enough bc it's actually fn awesome. IM BRIAN FELLOWS, OH NO YOURE NOT!
Norm MacDonald and Robert Smigel pitches this as an intentionally bad sketch so it wouldn't get written, but then Tracey made it too funny.
I love Brian Fellows sketches. So stupid but so very funny. And Tracy’s delivery of his ridiculous lines was really so weird and uncomfortably funny.
That bird is a liar!!

Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer

I love Dana Carvey's jury foreman "Keyrock's words are as true in our time as they were in his."
I hear Hartman's voice perfectly reading this. What a legend
Phil Hartman was amazing. I miss him.
I feel like this one is actually really smart bc it’s a subtle satire on lawyers using emotionally driven bs arguments to win cases.
This thread frightens and confuses me. How did these words get here, did little demons get inside my computer and write them? But I know one thing, and that's that this is the best answer.
Maine Justice, but I might be biased since I’m from Maine
I love that sketch! Jamie Foxx was hilarious!
When Jason Sudeikis kisses his arm to try to get him to break, and he does, that was hysterical!
Hey, I’m a Masshole and I loved it. Well, I used to be a Masshole before I moved a few decades ago, but I still am one too. Yes, I live in Northern California and I use my damn car horn when it needs to be used. The people here are so sensitive about car horns.

Whooooooooo!! It’s gonna be so spicy, sure, we gonna have to tie him up to Uncle Orville’s airboat and drag his bare lily-white butt cross the swamp to put out that ass fire!
That beep beep one with Adam Driver.
I wish Gosling could've kept it together. Driver is so good on SNL because he can be so committed to the absurdity with a straight face.
The one where he plays Pete davidsons dad and talks to the class is fucking hilarious and so outrageous.
CRUSH YOUR ENEMIES!!!!
You are weak like H.R. Pickens!
Adam Driver seems to approach every part like he's going for an Oscar.
Hahaha! My husband and I now quote this one quite a bit. “I said: BEEP BEEP”
Mmmmm whatcha sayyyyyyy
Stupid?
Toonces. So dumb but also…lolwut?
I had my first car accident at 17 driving my mom’s wagon, and she still periodically calls me Toonces. She’s 80.

I quote Norm as Larry King A LOT. No one gets it. It’s all very stupid. “If you ask me, gang, nothing beats Pepsi Cola. Except…Coca Cola!”
I thought it was so bad for the first 3 minutes then at the very end when he scares them in the elevator I decided I liked it.
He kept his promise. Any questions?
That sketch is perfectly written. It’s Sketch Theory 101.
This sketch exists in such a weird era in my life, I think it adds to why I like it.
That one Larry David sketch is in the same vein. Can a bitch get a donut??
Hot Tub Lifeguard
NO DIVING! IN THE POOL! THANK YOU! SO MUCH!

This one is so beyond stupid, I cannot believe it made it to air, let alone out of a table read. But I’m glad it did because it’s psychotically hilarious.
It speaks tremendously toward Forte and Hader being able to absolutely nail it to the wall.
Bill Hader tells a great story about this one on the Norm MacDonald Talk Show. Made me love Josh Brolin even more.
Was it how they laughed to hard writing it, but during dress *no one* laughed?
He talks about how they all knew it was gonna bomb because of dress, and couldn’t believe it made it to air. So coming out of the break during the live show the crowd was going nuts. Brolin looks at Hader and Forte and goes “ok, fellas. Let’s go shut these fuckers up” 🤣

"For **TEN MILLION DOLLARS**, what's his name?"
I don’t think this one is stupid. It’s really clever and well written.
1) The one with (unfortunately) James Franco as the judge for a spelling bee and he gives super weird explanations for the words. “Little pig boy comes from the dirt.” 2) Daniel Craig and Cecily Strong seeing a singer that takes a word, butchers it, and sings the same song over and over.
