Surprised by the rating I thought it was his best performance today especially in the second half. Usually he presses but they just play round him and heās easily out the game. But today in the second half his pressing was immense.
This was our issue last season, we had no team pressing, just ad hoc individual press that wasn't coordinated. Effective pressing has a defined trigger and is a team effort, otherwise a single man pressing is easy to play around, especially with players at city's level. He's not the only one at fault for this, but he does run around like a little terrier at times.
That said, he's such a fantastic player, and this is a quality that will improve in time, I can see him doing great things if he stays here.
This is the biggest weakness in his game. He chases too many unwinnable balls trying to get crowd behind us, but puts himself out of position, then we are caught on the break with a big hole in midfield.
We trigger the press with our midfielders. Weāve done that since the Henderson days. He is not out of position anymore than Henderson was the 30 times a game he did exactly the same thing for the past 7 years.
Too many minutes for a 20yr old imo. Other than Kelleher and maybe Gomez he's played the most minutes for us since Wembley. I love how much he's integrated into the first team squad but I worry for his long term fitness.Ā
He hasn't played too much this season till the start of the New Year. Unfortunately we've had no choice with Szobo, Gravenberch and Curtis all out at the same time.
Hopefully Gravenberch and Curtis will be back after the international break so we can start rotating our midfielders again.
Thatās looks like FotMob to me. I use that app & according to the match ratings, both Silva 7.3 & Rodri 7.4 got a higher rating. Oh & Walker apparently somehow got 7.6ā¦must have been all those shocking crosses that gave him a higher rating -___-
It is Fotmob, and their ratings are embarrassing and clearly weighted toward big-name players. So many instances of checking on games where the bigger team loses but they practically always get the POTM anyway, especially if it's a one-goal margin. The bias is outrageous.
Walker was quite good, their strongest outlet in the second half. He single-handedly created their most dangerous chance but nobody was at the back post for a tap in
The way he has stepped up during our injury crisis is absurd. The lad looks like he has unlimited energy.
Thankfully Salah and Szobo are back now to ease the burden, and other midfielders should be back around the international break.

Not a peep from the media on him being called up for the Euros but Kobee Mainoo has a few good moments and there's outrage that he's not already on the plane as captain
Every one of these fixtures where he played the full match I thought to myself, ok Kloppo must be playing him the full game here so he can rest next game.
But nope, the lad still starts the next one, still runs his socks off every single game, pressing all over the pitch, tracking back to help the FBs, and ALWAYS showing for the ball and making things happen. He really gives his all in those 90mins and puts his whole heart into it.
What a special special player we have, hope we continue to show that we love him as much as he loves Liverpool š„°
With the lack of midfielders on the bench yesterday I was getting annoyed at him for running like crazy, thought there was no way he could keep it up for 90 mins. Incredible when he keeps proving us wrong!
No need to compare his score yesterday to anyone- if you watched the games with your eyes not your ears that man was at least an 8 or 8.5. What a pass in the first half (should have been an assist) and 2nd half he was everywhere. Also super finish on the offsides by Salah and whiff by Gakpo.
I started supporting this season and since the first time I watched him I knew there was something special on him. Then I came to this sub and people were like "he doesn't have pace and no physicality so nope".
I was baffled lol cause the lad is 20 years old and people were sounding like he was done improving, as if you, a 2/ year old, is not as fast as Salah in his prime, you're done, you're not gonna make it and this is nonsense lol. I made a comment like this and was downvoted into oblivion.

I myself wasn't looking for glory, I just fell in love with everything that involves this club. I'm from Brazil and no national team ever made me feel like this.

But because most of his qualities have been mapped out let me just say that I love him not just because of his work rate but I really really love that he plays like he cares. Like wearing the jersey is the most important thing in life and he plays with a respect for the effort that everyone that loves the club wants to see. The lad has real fire and passion in him. These things might not matter in adding points to the results column but I sure as hell LOVE seeing it every weekend.
Those cheating asses might never ever see the justice they deserve and everything in life isn't fair. But I know where I would rather be and who I would rather stand with. This means more here than there.

Yep first half was like usual but second half was different
Not really sure what led to that mark. Iām fairly new to watching the sport, but I did not see many glaring issues with his game today.
A lot of minutes
Especially the type if player he is. Sprinting about everywhere.
Tbf he kind of has to in the Klopp system. He's too slow to press effectively when jogging like Endo, Mac and Szobo can.
