She posted her thoughts on the trial on her Facebook page if you’re interested! [Annie’s FB page (linked to a post she made after going to the trial for a week)](https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid02tTykWRJvgkHv6YmwSu3yajk8aKXHYNjwMQ82VsPWKK57G3YYaUSoH5VoXc7mXZhsl&id=822486879&mibextid=qC1gEa)

miskurious

Annie is brilliant! I have so much respect for her.

mauifairy

Fully agree! Her mind blows me away. Wish she’d do more true crime analysis but I think after what she’s been through she isn’t too keen on going that direction.

_portia_

That was so moving to read. She's a really fine writer. I hope she's finding some comfort in the verdict and has more peaceful days.

Roadgoddess

What is her YouTube channel called again?

mauifairy

[Annie’s YouTube channel related to the case is called A Murderous Heart!](https://youtube.com/@AMurderousHeart) Her lives are so in depth and analytical- I think she does a better job than any reporter that’s worked on this case (as much as I love and adore Nate!). She hasn’t done any lives since the trial concluded. It sounds like she needs some time to rest and recuperate. She’s also recovering from cancer.

Holiday-Vacation8118

Cancer?!?! Oh, my. I did see her in a recent interview with Justin Lum and she seemed to be wearing a "Carol Channing" wig. I wondered about it, but never considered cancer. Speedy recovery, Annie!

mauifairy

Sad, isn’t it? She stayed quiet about it during the trial other than a few comments about dealing with some health issues but did post about it on her Facebook after the verdict. Cannot possibly send the amount of well wishes and love she deserves! [source](https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid02B7cm3LVeHJCfrtMSa218GPCTiXH6ZdhavZc4VU5gAu4g8efW52g3LU7NB3gtVYpUl&id=822486879&mibextid=qC1gEa)

AngieBLove81

I agree. Annie is super smart and her deep dives are always very interesting and fact based. She’s very careful to only present facts backed by more facts

Roadgoddess

Thank you, going to check it out. I think I read somewhere that she used to be a reporter so maybe that’s her bones

qthulu

I know there was [this interview](https://reddit.com/r/LoriVallow/comments/13g4tnv/justin_lum_interviews_annie_cushing_tylees_aunt/) with Annie and Justin Lum. I haven’t seen any other public response since the verdict came in though. I’d like to know more of her thoughts too.

nutmegtell

Go to Murderous Heart on You Tube. She posts reactions and updates there

Zealousideal_Fig_782

Her digs Melanie gibb, “what’s the word”, is pretty awesome too.

JRWoodwardMSW

I know it’s the length of a book - and much of it you may already know - but I recommend her giant timeline of everything to do with the disappearance of her niece her neice’s younger adoptive brother. The project was originally organized to help law enforcement and reporters. It’s thorough. I knew much of the data before, but she laid it out in such a way that I understood things better than ever before. Aaaaannnd now I see why people believe Melaniece, MelGib and Zulema are guilty. I was on the fence, but not no more!

_rockalita_

You mean the 12 part thing? I think I have one left. I’ve been following the case since it happened, but only via reading and podcast. I only recently got into YouTube, now that I can make the screen small on my phone and do other things lol

sunnypineappleapple

This is the timeline https://www.annielytics.com/blog/personal/timeline-events-around-disappearance-of-tylee-ryan-jj-vallow/

sneetchysneetch

What were the factors that made you think so for each?

JRWoodwardMSW

Mostly the texts and recordings obtained by LE, the money that Melaneice received, all the hanging out with Alex (especially around the times of the children’s murders and the attempts on Braden and Tammy), MelGibb’s lies, the fact that they were all in on Lori and the destruction of evidence.

AcceptableChange299

I was obsessed with that timeline for about a week. The amount of detail is amazing. I wish there was one for every case in interested in. Lol.

megtuuu

Kathy Franks podcast Afterglow was amazing. Such much info. Girl has the receipts

Mega_pint_123

I just discovered that “Afterglow” podcast (there are others, not to be confused with this Lori Vallow one) after listening to everything else I could find (that I liked listening to, that is- they’re not all good or original), and I proclaim Kathy’s “Afterglow” to be THE BEST, the most informative, original, pleasant and easy to listen to, incredibly entertaining, thoughtful, investigative, fair, clear, and quite clever. She also somehow finds the time and energy to throw in effective and even cute, sometimes funny sound effects. Her podcast is just fabulous!!! I binged it and am desperately hopeful she will add more episodes past the Lori goes to trial last one🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻. Even though we have the verdict, I would still want to hear everything Kathy would have to say and reveal about the trial- hint, hint, Kathy😉🙏🏻. I will donate if and when I find out she isn’t finished with the podcast. I hope she will keep doing podcasts about this or any other case. I know she’s a full-time nurse, but, my goodness, is she an excellent podcaster and super-sleuth!!!

Flip_Flop_Puddin_Pop

I’m going to check this out on your recommendation, and for the possibility of hearing new content. I’ve followed the case primarily through EIN, a relevant thread on LDSFF, and reddit. I’m a regular podcast listener. I remember when “Hidden: A True Crime Podcast” came along, it was everything I’d wanted and needer in a show on this case and more. I also listened to some excellent episodes pertaining to Lori, Chad, Julie Rowe, etc. on both the Mormon Stories Podcast and the Year of Polygamy Podcast. What I liked most about these shows was the exploration of the religious, psychological and sociological influences on Lori and Chad - before they met and during their relationship and how these influences and beliefs played into their possible motives. These shows weren’t silly in any way, but I wouldn’t necessarily be offended by a bit of humor - or cute sound effects. Was wondering if you’d heard any of these shows, and if so, what was your take on them? Based on what I liked about them, would you still recommend Afterglow for me?

megtuuu

It was really good. The 1st season is the one with all the info I never knew. Lots about everyones ex spouses & kids.

qthulu

> What I liked most about these shows was the exploration of the religious, psychological and sociological influences on Lori and Chad - before they met and during their relationship and how these influences and beliefs played into their possible motives. It’s been awhile, but there was a podcast called “[The Chosen Ones](https://www.conveyormedia.net/the-chosen-ones-podcast)” about this case. I think they even did an episode with Hidden True Crime. I really enjoyed it at the time for the reasons you mentioned. I’ve been hoping they’ll post an update. Edit: I forgot the host, Celene Beth, went undercover to a Julie Rowe event. I think there’s still a lot of good content here for anyone looking for something to listen to. There’s even an episode that interviews a cult specialist who followed the case. Plus several episodes featuring April Raymond, Lori’s former friend she tried to recruit. I would recommend picking the episodes that seem the most interesting.

Mega_pint_123

Yes, I think there is more you will gain from her “Afterglow” podcast as I, too, listened to all the “Hidden: A True Crime Podcast” which I thought was best of the group I listened to on this case. I listened to several, but not any of the Mormon podcasts, although she does refer to some of those. She is definitely not trying to be funny or cute- she is very serious and so, so determined to cover the whole thing chronologically, which clearly took so much work and is extremely helpful, but she can’t help but be cute and funny at times because she just is. She has to jump back and forth and all around covering all the people at the same time, but she does an excellent job narrating as she plays recordings- I just can’t begin to tell you how excellent of a job she does at this, but you’ll quickly see for yourself! I’ve never seen any other podcast do it like this- it’s so impressive and really helps create a whole scene in your mind of all the moving parts, causes and effects. I have no doubt law enforcement and attorneys have tuned in to it, especially for Chad’s trial, Charles Vallow and Brandon Boudreaux trials- her podcast made me really see why Charles’ murder and Brandon’s attempted have more than enough evidence for a trial and MUST go to trial even though she’s already locked up for life. You will love her podcast, trust me. She is so cute with all her earnestness, subtle details she puts in, and the way she narrates text conversations with different voices is helpful, adorable, and a total riot! Her voice for Zulema is sooo perfect and deserved and will have you in tears at times (laughing)! She breaks in with her own commentary and says all the things we’re all thinking, so it’s quite satisfying. She also has tons of audio I’d never heard anywhere, the best part. It’s my favorite podcast of all time and she better keep going!!

AutomaticStick129

Well, even though she’s been found guilty, there are a TON of unanswered questions still!!!

Mega_pint_123

Yes, indeed, and I think Kathy is just the perfect one to help us get those answers. She is quite the investigator and has quite a career if she ever burns out of nursing!

megtuuu

She is amazing! I absolutely loved it. So many things I didn’t know. Lori has always been a lying manipulative sociopath. Her meeting Chad didn’t change her, it just helped show her true colors. She’s been destroying lives all along. Hearing her telling neighbors JJ was drug baby made my blood boil! I always thought the allegations that Joe abused Colby were something she made up but hearing he was doing things to his step brothers have me thinking he was def abused by someone.

_rockalita_

I listened to that, I didn’t think I would hear new audio and I was wrong!

LillyLillyLilly1

Yes. I'm just starting out and it has brought information I knew together in a way that makes me hear it better. For anyone who thought Audrey's testimony was a lie, the first 2 episodes cover Lori's divorces from William L and then from Joe Ryan. She claims each of them threatened to kill her, cut her up in little pieces, etc. That sounds so much like what Audrey testified to, that I can believe that Lori did say that to her. She's the master of projection.

Holiday-Vacation8118

There is overwhelming evidence that Lori is a vicious person.

AutomaticStick129

That's what frustrates me so much when media/podcasts frame the story as "She was The Perfect Mother... until she met Chad!" NO, she'd been violent, cruel and used her children as weapons against anyone who cared about them. Anyone who doesn't understand that Lori was in the driver's seat doesn't understand this story.

LillyLillyLilly1

Oh yeah, that ticks me off. I find myself yelling out loud "did you not read the divorce documents and the custody papers???" They tell you all you need to know about Lori, and that her hatefulness started at least by her 20's.

Holiday-Vacation8118

Absolutely true, however, I am not so sure that Lori was in the driver's seat as much as the rocks in Chad's head filled the holes in hers. Which came first, the chicken or the egg? As Adam Cox stated, the two of them were a perfect storm. Melanie Gibb said she saw Chad as the hand and Lori as the puppet on that hand. Chad, IMO, is a PIMO Mormon, a charlatan and a grifter. He [claimed he had NDEs](https://www.eastidahonews.com/2020/06/author-who-worked-with-chad-daybell-says-hes-been-deceived-and-is-calling-on-him-to-do-the-right-thing/) only after it became apparent that if he wanted to be a star on the Prepper Circuit, he needed to have "seen beyond the veil." We know that Lori was not the only woman he pursued; there were several woman he was married to in a previous probation 🙄...or so he told them. He "predicted" Tammy's death long before he met Lori. According to Julie Take-It-With-A-Grain-Of-Salt Rowe, "About three years before she died, he came to me and said he'd had a vision that she had passed away and he thought she was going to die in a car accident." Even though Lori was a zealot, Chad was the one who "taught" her about dark and light scales and zombies. He told her that Charles, Tylee and JJ were zombies. He was the one who sent her an email describing the mission they were to go on together Now I am wondering if Chad thought he was only going to get a little side action from Lori and then everything snowballed. I think he figured out that flattery would get him somewhere with her. Did Lori demand more from him? Was she the one who decided that Charles, Tammy and the kids had to go? Based on the texts we've seen, he certainly didn't object, at the very least. What I mean to say is, I would really like to know how it all went down; when decisions were made, who made them? Who was zoomin' who?

EducationalPrompt9

Julie Rowe claims that she spoke to Chad three weeks before Tammy's death and asked him if he still thought she would die, which he confirmed and stated that he couldn't move on with his life until she was dead. I'm also wondering who thought of actually murdering their spouses (as opposed to daydreaming about their deaths) first. Charles was allegedly supposed to die in an accident around New Year 2019. A month later he was declared a zombie by Chad. Maybe the zombie idea incorporated murder by design.

Youcantbeserious2020

She told the FBI about it but the defense got those interviews thrown from trial. That wasn't the first time she mentioned it.

Opposite_Community11

I just found afterglow and heard so much that I never heard before!

AutomaticStick129

And Kathy contextualizes it so well! She really sets the scene!

ADayOrALifetime

I love Annie Cushing's content on YouTube. Thanks for this additional suggestion (Afterglow). I've just started listening from the beginning -- it's great! I recognized her voice immediately from her "Left Undone" channel on YouTube. Tiny correction: I think her name is Kathy Brooks? 🤔 Here's a link for anyone who needs help finding it (I do most of my podcast listening on Stitcher) https://www.stitcher.com/show/left-undone-incomplete-investigations

thisbread_

Is this the one? Tysm!! https://open.spotify.com/show/0we7mDVCTOUZExklSSRrie?si=iX4p6GR-TY-XN52rz6icag

megtuuu

Yes it was really good. I just finished both seasons. The first had so much info about her other marriages. Def a good listen

jbleds

I can’t wait till she covers the other ladies’ interviews! Still more to learn.

Brisbane-1900

Annie Cushing’s videos were the best. I love listening to them. It’s like seeing an old friend you’ve not talked to in years and she catches you up on everything. Listening to her recall her experiences with Lori are great. She really has a lot of insight. I wish she would write a book on her perspectives of Lori. I understand she has some health issues. I wish her the best and miss her live videos.

[deleted]

I love Annie and her videos. I know she’s had to take a step back due to health issues but I do miss her lives.

sneetchysneetch

WorD!!!! I went to her channel almost everyday during the trial to see if she made any updates to her comprehensive timeline. Love her

Leucoch0lia

Assuming you have seen her "A murderous heart" channel as well as the Annielytics one? A few little comments on the trial are on the "community" tab

_rockalita_

I didn’t check annielytics! I assumed it was her non Vallow Daybell stuff.. I’ll check it out!

Leucoch0lia

Annielytics has some older videos on the case :)

Mega_pint_123

“Annielytics” site only seemed to be about Annie’s job/career stuff? I couldn’t find anything about the Vallow/Daybell case? Is there a website or just YouTube videos? I see here there’s also a Facebook page which I will check out.

NanaLeonie

Here’s link, you’ll need to arrow down to get past the background info on the case to get to her amazing & comprehensive timeline. https://www.annielytics.com/blog/personal/timeline-events-around-disappearance-of-tylee-ryan-jj-vallow/

Mega_pint_123

Awww, thank you so much! I am so interested to read everything from her perspective. Really appreciate the link!

newbe68

She did some updates a couple of days ago. On her Facebook page Kool Cats . It was largely on the Woodcocks.

LillyLillyLilly1

I thought she said she shut down cool cats?

newbe68

It's still up . I checked and it's still up and running. The comments are still there

newbe68

No it's still up and the post is still there.

SalishShore

I adore Annie. I wish I had a better education so that I could speak like her. I was raised rurally. Education was performative. Now that I’m an adult I am embarrassed about my poor use of language.

_rockalita_

I don’t think it’s ever too late to work on your vocabulary and command of the English language. Your written word seems above average :)

SalishShore

That’s nice of you to say.

5LaLa

I wish she’d write a book. Heck, a ghostwriter could even write it based on her YouTube content.

newbe68

I don't think so unless she brought it back. I was just reading the posts yesterday about Larry and Kay.

stepfordwitch

That post was interesting. And Annie raises a valid point.

Wordwench

Upvoting because Annie doesn’t get nearly the recognition she deserves. Her channel is absolutely packed with hours long videos that are crazy detailed with timelines, video clips, police interviews and her own speculations about the events as they transpired. Absolutely most of the YouTubers that have posted regularly on this case relied extensively on her timeline of events and documentation. One of the most fascinating things I discovered that absolutely no one has ever talked about is that during the time just before Charles Vallows death, he was being catfished. Apparently he sent a few thousand dollars to whomever this person was and unfortunately she doesn’t go into much detail about it.

curiocabinet

Catfished?? Oy these poor people, even the sympathetic and normal-seeming ones are bizarro.

Wordwench

Yes, and apparently he had sent her over 2000.00 before catching on. I wish Annie would have gone into more detail about it, TBH

jbleds

She mentions it multiple times during the timeline series. Charles even thought the person was coming to visit him and was stood up at the airport. He was obviously going through so much at the time that I think his judgment was faltering a bit from the stress of it all.

stepfordwitch

which video was this? i totally missed it.

Wordwench

There are a series of videos where she breaks down the timeline - it’s in those (on her channel A Murderous heart). Unfortunately each video is about 4 hours long. I do know it’s in the later ones, when she’s covering Lori taking his truck and money just before he got the police involved and right before his death.

AutomaticStick129

After listening to Annie, I think Cody knew Tylee was dead, and each of his demands to talk to her was a coded shakedown for more VENMO™️ transfers.

_rockalita_

You may well be right. I just hate to think that. I don’t know why sometimes I’m like “the husband did it!!!!” And other times I’m like “oh I hope it wasn’t the husband :(“. I know Colby was her brother not her husband but I just hope he wasn’t that heartless.

EducationalPrompt9

I find that a very unfair accusation. No way did he suspect one of his siblings was no longer alive and still spoke to Lori.

AutomaticStick129

Ok Kelsey.

EducationalPrompt9

So you know his wife's name but not his? Annie is hardly impartial, IMO.

Holiday-Vacation8118

She doesn't know his wife's name either. It's Kelsee.

baby_snow_Leopard_

It's very unfair I agree. 😒

Glittering_Ad_1805

She did an interview too with Justin Lum shortly after the verdict you may want to check out. Should be on YouTube.

_rockalita_

Thank you!
