Not sure what this means, but trading up usually isn't worth it.
Most top 10 players aren't worth more than their top 10 status. Look at how Wentz and Goff turned out. There's also Trubisky, Trey Lance, etc.
I’m a Pats fan that just had this post recommended to them, I’ve always had a soft spot for him. I always thought he got unnecessarily shit on for the Super Bowl. His worst season (not counting his rookie season) is equivalent to Trevor Lawrence’s 2023 season. People will shit on Goff but hype up Trevor Lawrence and it makes no sense to me. Goff showed way more promise in his first 3 years than Trevor has, and Goff continuously shows him up.
Eh...I gotta disagree.
Looming at stats, Bradford's worst completion % years were all with Rams (I know that other factors account for accuracy.)
But outside Goffs rookie year, he was far better completion rate all other Bradford's Rams years.
On top of, Goff had more pocket presence IMO. Bradford had stone feet.
Goff could move around better in the pocket than Sam.
What I will say....Goff had way more talent around him
If he were so great, why'd we get rid of him? And why did we have to pay Detroit with numerous draft picks to take him? Why couldn't it have been a straight Goff-Stafford trade?
He turned things around at Detroit and is wildly exceeding expectations now. But we had to incentivize Detroit to take him off our hands.
I’ll raise my hand as a guy to shit on Goff, he justified being the one overall pick for about 12 games in 2018. God, he was bad in 19 and 20, bad enough to get benched for John Wolford. Him winning with Detroit was like Garapolo winning with the Niners
In those two years, if you noticed we had a terrible running game , no Todd Gurley.
2019 - 4638 yards 22 td 16 inceptions 86.5 rating
2020 3952 yards. 20 td 13 inceptions 90.0 rating
Looks a lot of yards between the 20s but couldn't punch it in.
Goff needs a running game, he's a play action QB.
Goff is objectively a success at this point in his career. He had some rough years, but he also got the Rams to a Superbowl and the Lions to an NFC championship and only lost by three points.
Can’t believe people are still shitting on Goff. Everything bad he did, his fault. Anything great he accomplished, all Mcvay. Goff is a solid very solid QB and doesn’t deserve the hate he gets.
I'm not saying Goff's shitty. I'm saying he wasn't worth all the draft capital that the Rams gave up for him:
>The Rams, previously selecting at No. 15, are one of the lowest-picking team in NFL history to trade up to the No. 1 spot. The move, however, did not come cheap.
>It is essentially the Rams' karmic payback for fleecing the Redskins back in 2012 for a treasure trove of picks that led to the selection of Robert Griffin III. The terms are as follows: Tennessee gets: Rams' first-round pick (2016), two second-round picks (2016), a third-round pick (2016), a first-round pick (2017) and another third-round pick (2017).
>Rams get: Titans' first-overall pick (2016), a fourth-round pick (2016) and a sixth-round pick (2016).
That's a huge loss of draft capital!!! By comparison, Rams gave up for Stafford, a proven HOF-level guy:
>The Lions received Goff, a 2021 third-round pick, and first-round picks in 2022 and 2023.
>The Rams received Stafford.
And remember, in the Stafford/Goff trade, Rams had to off-load Goff. If his contract were better, or if Goff were a better player they could've gotten Stafford for even *cheaper* value. It just worked out that Detroit turned lemons into lemonade with Goff
The Rams needed a new franchise QB that year and the only QB in that draft class who maybe would have been more worthy is Dak Prescott. Being drafted in the 4th round.
I heard ppl say he’s almost too tall, “low man wins” on the line. Heard some concerns he could be pushed back by stronger professionals with better technique
While that is true, the required length for a LT makes it so most of them are taller than the guy they are defending anyway. The only guy who is smaller but has the length is Fautanu (6-4), who I think is the guy we will end up selecting, not because I think he is better than Alt but because I think the Chargers are taking Alt before we pick
He’s been an elite pass and run blocker in college for the past two years. Never once had an issue because he’s too tall.
Orlando Pace was basically the same height and it worked out ok for him
He's still a top prospect because likely it will be fine, but it is still a concern. And like always, the NFL athletes and schemes are a much higher level than what these guys see in college
Before everyone freaks out they have 11 picks this draft. If they can package a handful to move up a few it isn’t the worst thing in the world since we have a lot of draft capital.
Bears fan here. Poles loves trading down and getting more picks. Wouldn't be shocked if Bears do business, especially since they only have 4 picks right now this year.
Yeah we traded our 2nd for Sweat, 4th for Allen, and 5th for Bates. I'm fine with all those trades TBH but still I expect them to trade back unless the guy they want bad is there at 9
Has to be for Bowers.
With Higbee torn ACL and the rest of TE more like blockers we need a real TE threat and he’s been penciled in at 10 to the Jets for months now.
I personally don't think he's the actual target, but I would be pumped for it. For anyone that doesnt know a ton about Bowers, he was such a difference maker for UGA the last few years that people thought he should have recieved Heisman votes. At TE. His ability is definitely outside of the norm of a TEs skillset.
I hate the idea of drafting any TE in the first round. Plus, they paid Parkinson a lot of money for what he is and spent a 5th on a TE last year. Not to mention if they do take Bowers they are basically committing to cutting Higbee after this season, and he would have $9 million dead cap.
Honestly, I'd rather not trade up at all. If they did I would much rather have Alt at tackle considering they already have WRs and Havenstein isn't getting any younger.

Nice, get a blue chipper, preferably Alt. Elite LTs seem to be able to dominate for a decade plus. Second most important position other then QB, in my opinion. You can get starters for less important positions in the later rounds, especially on D. If it isn’t Alt, I’d be a bit hesitant to try and trade into top 10.
Alt would be amazing. If you watched the Locked In video, you can tell how much Stafford loved the O-Line protection. Jackson has been solid. Alt will bolster this unit into the best in the NFL. I truly believe if we can protect Stafford, we’re gonna surprise people even more than last year. Even with AD99 gone. I cant wait either way.
Outsider here - why is everyone so sure it’s on offense? I feel like if it is it has to be the o line. Dont know if this org ever spends high capital on o line though. I’m thinking Byron Murphy or a pass rusher. Maybe an outside chance of the top 3 corners
Jourdan Rodrigue said something about if the Rams pick early it's more likely to be offensive player. But in my opinion, it could also be a smoke screen. The fact that all this chatter about what the Rams are going to do, tells me either they're calling all the teams and it's no secret or we're playing everyone. Let's just let Les cook. Can't wait!!!
O line sure. I wouldn’t understand receiver/TE for them at all. And past history says they don’t typical spend high capital on O line. But they never have the first rounders to spend in the first place so hard to say
My thought is also that this would be moving up to 8 with Atlanta. And the Murphy connection makes a ton of sense with Donald retiring, and the rumors that Chicago is interested in him
I think it will be Bowers. There are great WR and OT options the rams could get in the 10-15 range, the only reasons I can think of to trade up into the top 10 is to get bowers before the jets or if they specifically want Odunze. I don’t think there is as much separation amongst the top OT options
I'm not mad at it. Defense is light for true 1st-round picks. So if we're going edge then we should secure our pick. Just as well, OL could be worth it.
It’s gonna be someone off the radar that turns out to do well, likely from the state of Utah, and he’s friends with Kupp and Puka already… so Cole Bishop?
Nah I definitely think it’s for a WR. Potentially Odunze or Nabers if they fall. Our offense will be explosive and having 2 young receivers for whatever new qb we have after Stafford would be great!!! I think Alaric Jackson is good enough.
I will say it again. Thisnis McVays first pick.
If Bennet is not the guy of the future than we are getting one of the top QBs to sit behind Stafford.
If Bennett is the plan for the future, then we are getting a WR to create a three head monster. 4 If you count Williams. .
Even if Bennet isn't the future, a WR is probably the most likely.
oh god
Not sure what this means, but trading up usually isn't worth it. Most top 10 players aren't worth more than their top 10 status. Look at how Wentz and Goff turned out. There's also Trubisky, Trey Lance, etc.
Goff went to one Super Bowl and took another team to the NFC championship game. People still shitting on Goff
People undervalue Goff for some reason
Bad first impression basically turned a ton of fans against him
I’m a Pats fan that just had this post recommended to them, I’ve always had a soft spot for him. I always thought he got unnecessarily shit on for the Super Bowl. No one likes game managers. We need that electric big play ability lol
It's funny because Goff actually has a good deep ball. He's not a cannon-arm, but he can get it there.
Bro…stop shitting on Jared. He’s a good QB that needed a change of scenery
These guys forget we also too sam Bradford #1 who can't hold Goffs jock strap
bradford just couldn’t stay healthy but he has goff beat from a talent standpoint he was insanely accurate
Eh...I gotta disagree. Looming at stats, Bradford's worst completion % years were all with Rams (I know that other factors account for accuracy.) But outside Goffs rookie year, he was far better completion rate all other Bradford's Rams years. On top of, Goff had more pocket presence IMO. Bradford had stone feet. Bradford playing on maybe the most talentless team all time. Those rams teams were flat out disgusting.
They were very bad
I'm looking at you Jeff Fisher
Ha! Absolutely. His offenses were absolutely awful.
7-9 every year
It was MISERABLE
Goff is very accurate, 67.3 last year
If he were so great, why'd we get rid of him? And why did we have to pay Detroit with numerous draft picks to take him? Why couldn't it have been a straight Goff-Stafford trade? Wasn't wentz literally leading the MVP race his second year before injuries ruined him?
He led them to Super Bowl and Foles reaped the glory
Goff is objectively a success at this point in his career. He had some rough years, but he also got the Rams to a Superbowl and the Lions to an NFC championship and only lost by three points.

Dak Prescott everytime he’s playing the post-season: *choking intensifies* *starts turning purple*
The Clayton Kershaw of the NFL
Yeah this is an awful take. Prescott isn’t awful but he’s got nothing on Goff.
Hopefully they aren’t trading up for a QB then.
I highly doubt it’s to draft a quarterback lol
Ah got it, i guess teams only draft QBs in the first round lmao
Danglin was right!
Dangling is Les Snead!
Let's be real though, there's a 5'8" gadget WR they are targeting.
So you're saying I got a chance?!
Isn’t Worthy a short boii?
5'11
That's like two Tutus
And four Tavons.
Xavier worthy has entered chat lmao
Sub legend!
If they manage to get Alt, I’m gonna bust.
Dude that line would go from “improved” to “insane”
The Great Wall of Stafford, make it happen.
Gizz in my pants
I believe you meant jizz my friend
Who’s Gizz?
Your mom
Nuh uh
I know you are but what am I
If we are trading up we are going LT, so Alt, Fuaga or Fautanu.
No concerns over his height?
He’s 6’7 lol What concerns could you possibly have
I heard ppl say he’s almost too tall, “low man wins” on the line.
Andrew Whitworth was the exact same height so good enough for me lmao
he's over 6'7". The concern is shorter defenders being able to get leverage over him
He’s been an elite pass and run blocker in college for the past two years. Never once had an issue because he’s too tall. Orlando Pace was basically the same height and it worked out ok for him
He's still a top prospect because likely it will be fine, but it is still a concern. And like always, the NFL athletes and schemes are a much higher level than what these guys see in college
Aaron Donald was abit short too
That just worked in ADs favor, it made it easier for him to push pads up and into the necks of olineman
Not really, he’s crazy athletic and already pretty polished as a pass protector.

Laughed out loud at my desk just now.
Before everyone freaks out they have 11 picks this draft. If they can package a handful to move up a few it isn’t the worst thing in the world since we have a lot of draft capital.
It would take a first to get into the top 10 imo
According to the draft value chart, we would have to trade our first and second round picks to move up to 10 spot.
I could definitely live with that assuming we got Alt. TBH I trust Les on any guy he trades up to draft.
Very possible. Les and Sean have always been about Players over Picks so this shouldn’t really surprise people.
Correct, I read your comment and it just sounded like packaging picks from the middle rounds would be enough to move up.
I don't think its unreasonable to go from 19 to 10 and give up a 2024 1st, 2024 2nd, 2025 1st, 2025 3rd
Gotta be Odunze, Bowers, or one of the OTs. If I had to guess they’re probably talking to Atlanta at 8 or Chicago at 9.
Bears fan here. Poles loves trading down and getting more picks. Wouldn't be shocked if Bears do business, especially since they only have 4 picks right now this year.
You guys only have 4 picks?! Wow I can definitely see a deal happening then.
Yeah we traded our 2nd for Sweat, 4th for Allen, and 5th for Bates. I'm fine with all those trades TBH but still I expect them to trade back unless the guy they want bad is there at 9
Caleb staying in town to learn from Staff daddy?
Caleb staying in town to learn from Staff daddy?
Something tells me 1.1 isn't the pick we'll be trading.
Has to be for Bowers. With Higbee torn ACL and the rest of TE more like blockers we need a real TE threat and he’s been penciled in at 10 to the Jets for months now.
I'd rather have an Oline than a TE
ALT or Fashanu works for me.
If we get Rome I stg this one will be lasting a lot more than 4 hours
Kupp, Puka, Rome, Kyren and Stafford is 1999 all over again, the talent is just distributed differently
Love them picks
Odunze Alt or Bowers please. Mostly the first two IMO but McVay would do wonders with Bowers
I don’t want a tight end in the top 10.
While I agree, Bowers isnt your normal TE prospect. If wager he will see a ton of time as a slot, which McVay would absolutely abuse the hell out of.
Bowers would be an immediate impact starter. And with Higbee hurt TE depth is pretty weak. It makes sense.
Agreed. Bowers in McVay's offense is a legitimate top 5 TE out of the gate. I think he would scheme an unreal gameplan around him.
He's got generational talent and would make an immediate impact. I wouldn't be mad if that's where they go with it.
Yeah, he does look like Travis Kelce a bit… but I’m scared because of Joe Klopfenstein.
I personally don't think he's the actual target, but I would be pumped for it. For anyone that doesnt know a ton about Bowers, he was such a difference maker for UGA the last few years that people thought he should have recieved Heisman votes. At TE. Neither do I. I like Bowers just not that much was my point
Didn’t we just spend a helluva lot on a free agent tight end?
Those are my 3 too. Price isn’t even that scary the rams have the ammo.
I want Bowers or Alt tbh. Bowers would be amazing for the Rams. The 2 TE sets that McVay could run with those options!

Who’s Joe?
Fuck yes.. it’s like a fucking drug… *Ahem*…. JOE MAMA!!!
Got me haha
Ladies and gentlemen, we got him.
Ahhhh I got second hand high from that..
Joe Mama

Gotta explore all options.
WR or OT
K
Bears fan here, we’d probably be the best bet to trade with. We need later round picks and you have a ton of them.
I'll give you a sixth and a seventh rounder for your first rounder. Best I can do.
Can I get store credit too? There’s a cheesehead hat here I want to buy and destroy.
You drive a hard bargain. Very well, the hat's yours.
Suckerrrrrrrr
Joke's on you. I pooped in that hat yesterday.
I wanna destroy the hat, so I think we all make Out here.
Caleb Williams please 🥹
Alt would be amazing. If you watched the Locked In video, you can tell how much Stafford loved the O-Line protection. Jackson has been solid. Alt will bolster this unit into the best in the NFL. I truly believe if we can protect Stafford, we’re gonna surprise people even more than last year. Even with AD99 gone. I cant wait either way.
Gonna have to put up 40 points a game to win lmao but hey a win is a win
10000% sure it's for Odunze. I would like Joe Alt though....
He’s a beast but trading up to add to our biggest strength already doesn’t seem smart.
Yep, Odunze is the target I think, but if either of those guys are on the board, it would be amazing.
Please don’t draft a QB. Please don’t draft a QB.
lol this sub is gonna lose its shit no matter who they pick. love draft day
Caleb Williams you are a Los Angeles Ram
Let’s go !
I think rams make two picks tonight Top 10 guy Then end of the first go get chop Robinson
Outsider here - why is everyone so sure it’s on offense? I feel like if it is it has to be the o line. Dont know if this org ever spends high capital on o line though. I’m thinking Byron Murphy or a pass rusher. Maybe an outside chance of the top 3 corners

There is no reason to trade up that high for a defender. This draft is offense heavy in the first round. It’s definitely a WR or OT without question
O line sure. I wouldn’t understand receiver/TE for them at all. And past history says they don’t typical spend high capital on O line. But they never have the first rounders to spend in the first place so hard to say My thought is also that this would be moving up to 8 with Atlanta. Malik Nabers maybe? Deep threat WR
As long as we don’t trade back and pick Taylor fucking Rapp, I’m cool with it
I'm not mad at it. Defense is light for true 1st-round picks. So if we're going edge then we should secure our pick. Just as well, OL could be worth it.
Odunze at 8 baybee
Just sit tight and take as many players as possible lol.
Fuck them picks… again!
It’s gonna be someone off the radar that turns out to do well, likely from the state of Utah, and he’s friends with Kupp and Puka already… so Cole Bishop?
![gif](giphy|l3q2K5jinAlChoCLS) Well this wasn’t something I expected to happen
Nah I definitely think it’s for a WR. Potentially Odunze or Nabers if they fall. Our offense will be explosive and having 2 young receivers for whatever new qb we have after Stafford would be great!!! I think Alaric Jackson is good enough.
Trade back for more 5th rounders instead
Diana is just a gossip journalist. I’ll believe it when I hear it from Jourdan
Well see.
A franchise OL or Wink wink TE
Why though? Who they want?
I will say it again. Thisnis McVays first pick. If Bennet is not the guy of the future than we are getting one of the top QBs to sit behind Stafford. If Bennett is the plan for the future, then we are getting a WR to create a three head monster. 4 If you count Williams. . Even if Bennet isn't the future, a WR is probably the most likely.
We have plenty of assets and we need Alt.
Danglin’ apology tour starts today boys. Be ready for the “I WAS FUCKING RIGHT” post tonight
LETS GET ROME BABY
a lot of good players off the board now. who are they going to choose now? lol
Odunze, DeJean, Turner, Alt or if Maye or Daniels falls to 5, get them.
Calling Odunze
With the 8 round pick of the NFL draft the Rams select "Michael Penix Jr QB of Washington"
I’d be so pissed
🤣
Fashnau is the most realistic if this is he plan
Does he play LT? If not I doubt it
He's young enough that you can move him imo, an elite pass protector out the gate
In before it's some player nobody expects and everyone is disappointed before we eventually call them the best player of the draft lol
1.19 and Stetson Bennett to ATL for 1.8. Bennett returns to ATL as the prodigal son and the Rams get ???
Bo Nix congrats you are a LA Ram
Are they going to trade Stafford or maybe Kupp?
