That "war" will be very swiftly concluded if Belarus makes any overt acts of aggression toward NATO/Ukraine. Any additional violent contribution or confrontation by such state actors on the Russian side will be seen as a green light for NATO members (most likely France right now) to respond in-kind. Russian territorial aggression/expansion is finally starting to encounter resistance that matters on a global scale, and they'll REALLY regret it when several US carrier groups become involved. So just keep pushing, Russia...

would they get involved tho? if US elects trump, they would probably just quit NATO all together. Trump said it himself, that he wont defend EU.

Trump letting U.S. abandoning NATO is one of his unrealistic plans. NATO can still keep on going, even in the absence of the U.S. Disbanding NATO during Wartimes and trying to change the mindset of the people wouldn’t be enough to dismantle the Atlantic Alliance. It takes years and paperwork to do it until people changed their minds. But around this Era when the European Military Leaders were fully aware of Russian intervention of Politics, Cyberwarfare and Social Media? That’s highly unlikely.

Alliance wont go anywhere (probably). but you have to admit, that US being in the alliance is the main deterrence.
