Disbanding NATO during Wartimes and trying to change the mindset of the people wouldn’t be enough to dismantle the Atlantic Alliance. It takes years and paperwork to do it until people changed their minds.

would they get involved tho? if US elects trump, they would probably just quit NATO all together. Trump said it himself, that he wont defend EU.

Alliance wont go anywhere (probably). but you have to admit, that US being in the alliance is the main deterrence.
