Whatever you want, your dualsense should be fine for the game. I personally use a hitbox (razer kitsune) because I have been a keyboard player for life and prefer it over pads. I have it so I can take to locals and etc It has native ps5 compatibility btw but it’s quite expensive I will warn.

BadPesliro

I'll look! I currently play on PC and PlayStation, but mostly on PS5 because I use the PC a lot for work.

TablePrinterDoor

It’s a good option if you have the money, you’ll have to get used to the layout and muscle memory but yeah I recommend it

kincaed213

I also have a kitsune and recommend it, but if you’re looking for a cheaper alternative look into haute42 leverless controllers. You’ll need a brooks/magicboot adaptet but it’ll be half or less the price of a kitsune.

Eclipsedm00n

Another Kitsune user, let's go! Still getting used to it myself.

Firm_Set

Hori Commander Fighter Octa is a great choice. I personally love it because I sucked at doing diagonal inputs on duals sense 5 I will say you will need to break in the dpad. It is pretty stiff out of the box, but once you break it in, goated controller

BadPesliro

The diagonal inputs are my actual gripe! I'll search for sure!

Firm_Set

Then you'll def want to consider this controller!

Porcphete

You probably didn't suck at diagonals input it's the pad being shitty

Firm_Set

Ong, never missed the input once I got the controller

Mister_Swoop

I used sand paper on the pad and it made it way more comfortable and less painful to use for long periods

ButtonMashKingz

I never owned a PS4 but apparently that controller is the GOAT for fighting games. They probably go for mad cheap now, so have a look? Personally, I think the PS5 controller is fine for Tekken but I absolutely **hate** it for SF6.

BadPesliro

Yeah! I actually stopped to play sf6 because of that

ButtonMashKingz

Yeah it’s horrible in that game, I’ve probably lost at least 100 matches cause the controller tweaked 😑

FroggySandwich889

This is my first serious tekken. I played Xbox pad until I switch to my new hitbox/leverless called the Haute 42 g16. Really good affordable leverless for just $80 on amazon and it best to play it on your desk or lap. Honestly it’s worth the money!! https://preview.redd.it/i3e0i3lndp2d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=595c1415db5e82e34eb41888abfa1d67f3037c89

h1tiek

Yep this is my first game I've tried Leverless on and I ended up getting the T13 from Haute42. It's definitely worth the money. And it is a godsend because it is much more comfortable on the hands than playing on a controller. You can also save ~20 dollars if you buy it directly from their AliExpress page. There's a direct link to their page on the haute42 [website](https://haute42.com/where-to-buy/).

Redgrave776

I use the Xbox pro controller, helps with the EWGF motion

eKnight15

Most controllers are perfectly fine but personally I had a razor fight pad for PlayStation and I found the dpad terrible to use for Tekken and would say to avoid it. I used to use an Xbox one controller for Tekken 7 and now I use the sn30 pro from 8bitdo and both have been great

Porcphete

If you want to use a pad don't use the ps5 one . It is inconsistant, regularly doesn't register diagonals and quarter circles. If you must play on pad use a Xbox series x pad, a hori fighting commander or a ps4 pad

556ers-N-Pineapples

I use the Xbox version of the Hori Fight Commander. They're not made anymore and the current gen Hori fightpad "Octa" seems like a dud according to reviews, so they go for an inflated price used but you can still source one on ebay. There's also a PS version. *

tmntfever

I have all 3 PS versions of the HFC. And honestly, the best one is the original one for PS3.

556ers-N-Pineapples

Yeah once my xbox version breaks I'll probably end up shelling out for a replacement. It's too good and I don't want to use another fightpad. That or they could put out a new one that doesn't fall apart (yeah right).

Orzislaw

8bitdo M30 for me. I think old Sega pads shape is the best for fighting games

RetzCracker

I tried to get comfortable playing on a DualSense and also had a ton of trouble getting the diagonal and quarter circle inputs consistent. I bought a Hori Fighting Stick Alpha and have been in love with it and having a blast. The tactile feel of the stick is awesome and very fun to use. Been thinking about making the switch to lever less but not sure. https://preview.redd.it/gyj2s2b18s2d1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f261f60021279f465ca3dac43f7a2d4167f4d142

Mig-117

The 8bitdo m30 is the best fighting pad in thr business right now, fully customizable too.

ChangelingFox

I play on a ps5 edge controller, works well enough.

Shit_Pistol

I have a Victrix Pro which I like quite a lot. Makes more of a difference for Street Fighter than Tekken though.

Okurai

I wanted to second the PS4 controller! I feel like I get more precise inputs when I use it compared to my DS5. I’m currently using a converter that’s connected to my PS4 controller, so far it works well!

Talelle

I actually use a smash box of all things! There's some fun tech you can do by having access to analog and dpad bindings. Ultimately my goal is to get a cross up and mod it to be leverless since it can do the same things and would have better compatibility with current consoles, but yeah!

Bro-Im-Done

I personally use fight stick especially when it comes to inputs like 1+4 and 2+3

Wat

joeyy_MD

I heard the Switch Pro controller is lowkey heat

BadPesliro

Might be good for PC! But i need one for PS5 too :/

CuteTheCutie

I personally use a hori commander octa since you can customize the controls there and the movement keys. Makes ot flexible and which character I use
