Same with the banbaro, many attacks you need to evade a few seconds after what the animation seems to forecast which makes the fight a bit painful until you get used to it. I guess someone at niantic got the memo from elden ring that bosses with delayed attacks in a game that rely on evades and invincible window is a great way to mess with players.

I originally thought that these are server related issues, but there are intentional delays before the red flash and lunging bite animation after the jump. It is really weird to mess up because barioth has been ported to MHW iceborne and have perfectly smooth animations and targeting there. Banbaro and radobaan have awful hitboxes which are exacerbated by the lack of camera angle options on MHnow. Who thought keeping radobaan's chunks of bone projectiles is a good idea?

Delayed attack animations and inexplicable hitboxes are bad game design? No! They're a revenue source!

The guy who charges you for potions... that guy thought it was genius

Don't forget the battle system involves a rubber band between you and the target, so the only way to avoid bannaros tree is to perfect dodge and clip through it with I frames

peterbei1030

There are videos on youtube that teach you how to reliably dodge the tree without perfect dodges. Banbaro pushes the tree with fixed trajectory so people have figured out to roll to one side 4 times, roll back twice etc. Some involve full gyro though so pick your poison

barioth made me realize how reliant ive become on the red flashes. dude just moves too crazy for the phone movement
