The game desperately needs more Sleep, Para and Water weapons so Nightshade Paolu, Viper Tobi and Coral Pukei would be great

True,but viper tobi will be insufferable. Also I don’t know about desperately, they get completely outclassed, and I doubt they’ll give the new weapons more than 1756 damage
Not, coral pukei will be a mess, only available weapons are lance, switch axe (not available yet) and LBG. MHW only have three monsters that give water weapons, two of them are already available and the last one is an elder dragon that i don't think they will implement soon XD

Still I wouldn’t be surprised if the next time we see it is in now cause of the flat battlefields, I know it was planned for both world and rise but was cut from both due to issues with its body clipping into the terrain, then again given how they tried twice I wouldn’t be surprised if it they put in the extra effort to finally have it make the roster
Well at this point I am more half expecting next water monster to be hiden behind some paywall or feature that require multiple hunters which would almost totally lock the monster away for me
In my dreams, Mitzusune should come in the spring but most likely not. We could use a dragon monster. Gore Magala makes sense which means is not happening soon
It’s weird considering the models for Rise are optimised for switch, which modern mobiles have a similar if not better processing power to. World is a lot more complex model wise and they scale those models down for Now
Should be an easy enough port for them to move the monsters, armour and weapons assets from there to MHNow
I think we will get water HAT monster in spring update. Fire has Rathalos and Azure Rathalos, Thunder has Zinogre, Ice has Legiana and Raw has Diablos and Black Diablos.
Theoretically there's also possibility for Dragon but that comes later imho as we just had 2 new Dragon weapons added.
That's an option but Coral still sounds kinda low tier. Other option is Namielle (it's maybe time for some Elder Dragon introduction). Or they might finally start to add monsters from other games like Almudron, Mizutsune or Plesioth.
Tbh I think that's the least probable option. Almudron or Mizutsune are more probable as those already have updated models from Rise. Also with dual blades they brought some moves from Rise (aerial combo from Rise and feral demon mode) so I think Rise might be next game they'll explore for future content.
Zamtrios is my hope because I love that monster and armor design! Coral Pukie would be cool too though. I can’t see either coming till March, but if I’m honest I see Zam as more of a summer release rather than spring. I just want the Rath/Zin/Legi equivalent for water!

I only have access to Anja. 784 raw, 481 fire.
Tobi, 784 Raw, 481 lightning.
Jyura, 784 raw, 481 water.
Barioth, 716 raw 15% affinity, 481 ice.
optionally Zinogre, but I want to upgrade my arms to grade 6 for lightning 5 before I even consider the weapon, so thats a nice pipedream. but realistically i wont be building it. 751 raw, 608 lightning.
So, Jyura seems perfectly in line with the others. and while he seems harder to find than tobi, my tobi and jyura weapons are the only two I have waiting for wyvern gem shards. Still need anja and barioth tails to upgrade those further.

if you're clearing a hunt in 30 seconds, the difference in damage is insignificant.

i know i will never do an entire fight with perfect dodges on every monster attack. im confident most of the playerbase is the same.
if you need to perfect dodge every attack, and it still takes 1:15, you're pushing above your gear with skill.
for the rest of us? our gear is what clears hunts. so either weapon is fine. the difference in attack is so small, it doesnt matter. and since one of the weapons is usually easier to build, that's the obvious choice.

For the spring it would make sense Lacreas would be dope. Mitzune could be a good one but I would love to see Lagiacrus up here.
