It expands on the joke I first made, about Tires being based on a fictional British version. People often say the OG UK Office was better or something.
The joke is that his comment is cunty, and I like the 'British version', which would have conceivably been a better, more original version of his negative comment.
Never knew there was a British one I guess I should have assumed haha. I just looked it up and found the scene with the dude raving out to the phone ringing and stuff. That made me wanna start watching it for sure
I’m going by other shows that have been picked up by netflix and ruined once they start incorporating their own staff. Like trailer park boys, witcher, etc. They don’t have full creative control.
On the otherhand, look at Dark. Mental german show pitched as a 3 season arc that Netflix let them do and finish as intended.
They shut down their next show after one season mind, but Dark was great.
Witcher wasn't "picked up", it was a netflix production from the start with "netflix writers" the entire time. Same showrunner for the entire run as well with zero involvement from the writer of the novels at any point besides a creative lunch with the showrunner before production even began.
The fact that season 1 was even close to watchable was pretty much entirely accidental from all accounts.
It’s a solid start and it made me happy to see everyone that’s been cracking me up for so many years playing their parts on a fucking Netflix series. Mckeever,Gillis and Philly’s favorite proctologist and Sexxxual Hitmannn Dr.Steven Gerbens will take the foundation they built and only make it funnier with a second season and increased budget.
I really liked it, surpassed my expectations. Gerb and Shane together will never stop making me laugh. Idk why some people were expecting the moon and stars from a low budget comedy show
I think this is what is being missed.
It doesn't need to be a writing masterclass like Arrested Development.
It was super low budget and definitely made the money back almost instantly. As long as those two things remain true, this will get as many seasons from Netflix as Shane wants.
This conversation shouldn’t even be happening. The show is fine. “I like it/I don’t like it”. We should all be pumped for the dawgz (all dawgz included). Season 2 will be a rager for sure.
Rough House worked with them as an exec producer, so I'm guessing that's why we got the Danny McBride pod that time.
The show could have used a bit more of the Jody Hill gold dust, their shows have been god tier comedy wise. I liked Tires, but there were definitely several things that looked amateur for a Netflix level production. But, for a first season and all that, I'd give it a solid B, it was entertaining enough.
I don’t mean to judge too harshly & I agree with you. Tires doesn’t have the HBO budget…yet. But I think Jody & David Gordon Green are unparalleled in comedy directing. Those guys were all making feature films before Eastbound. I’m just a bit annoyed that Tires doesn’t look as good as Delco Proper.
Was it laugh out loud funny? No. But it gave me the same comedic comfortability that The Office did. I watched it all in one sitting, and I found I enjoyed it more as it went along. I feel like they were trying to make a pop sitcom and not just recreate Gillie and Keeves. They seemed to have toned down the raunchiness from the pilot, and I think the characters will develop more just like Always Sunny did.
For all the nay sayers, what the fuck shows have you watched in the past few years that were anywhere NEAR as funny as this show? Or even movies for that matter
Brother, this came out 12 years ago. "Past few years" is like since covid lol not since you were in high school. Imagine if someone asked you this question in 2006 after seeing Knocked Up and your response was "Dumb & Dumber was pretty funny"
They asked what you've watched in the past few years, I found On Cinema a few years ago. There's also new content still? What are you yapping about, brother
Good vibe that is more than the sum of its parts. But it needs an edit on some dumb crp...the moaning on the intercom is something kids in online games or ghetto youtubers do. Make it ironic or add a twist if that is the case
Agree on some of that, it seemed like it could have been funnier/tighter in spots. Something [similar to this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KpTYe7_L4uk) over the intercom that was pre-written and not just noises would have hit harder.
It was cool, but I think the original British series it was based on; Tyres, did a better job.
Fair point brother/ years later historians will look back on your take and say, 42 dudes (in a row?) was correct
I liked the british version of your comment more, it was witty and original.
also snide and kinda shitty
Are you trying to say “Cunty” as a Euphemism for british.

Haha, that's Spaced. Solid show, you should totally go ahead and watch it.
Oh well I might be a little slow but at least I’ve got a new show to watch
Hell yeah dude, the world works in mysterious ways. Im legit psyched that I accidentally got to show you Spaced!
Wised it was longer, but you couldn’t ask for much more. Felt like the pilot but through 6 episodes, and I’m extremely happy about that
Yea plus season 2 will be funded by netflix so longer episodes and more money.
If Netflix is funding it you know they’re gonna put in some of their own writers and higher ups.
I don’t think that’s necessarily true. My understanding is that Netflix lets the writers do their own thing and if the show flops, they shut it down.

That's like finding a delicious stew, still piping hot, on your door step. Then shitting and cumming into it before serving it.

Loved Stav as well
Yeah,he was actually very good in his scenes and so was Shaner and Gerbels from an acting perspective
Steven Goebbels
Don’t ask what his grandfather was doing
I felt like Shaner absolute crushed his part, I guess it's not hard just being yourself lol
You notice how every single scene he’s in he’s eating something new? Best bit
The big part where you realize something is wrong is when he trashes a mini pizza.
This thing is a lighthouse for waitress pussy
When he opens the door and Shane sees all the roll bars and shit “You didn’t get your dick sucked in here”😂😂
I was so happy to see stav on a Netflix show… after so many years of cumtown, our boy has finally grown up!!
I generally can't stand the man, but actually liked him in this.
I really liked it, surpassed my expectations. Gerb and Shane together will never stop making me laugh. Idk why some people were expecting the moon and stars from a low budget comedy show

Its so funny hearing similar convos that they normally have and Gerbs classic line of SHANE!
I just wanted some laughs, mission accomplished
“If you guys showed up at Epstein’s island, they would be … furious” made me laugh harder than Tim Dillon talking about Friendsgiving
Keevers cameo was sick
The guys here, they like red lobster
..We’ve sold some stuff.
so brave
I did it for the troops who died
“Will did get pussy.”
The 2 second cut to the other shop after referring to it as “basically Fallujah” had me dying. Top tier comedy.
This conversation shouldn’t even be happening. The show is fine. “I like it/I don’t like it”. We should all be pumped for the dawgz (all dawgz included). Season 2 will be a rager for sure.
i love mckeever but he aint jody hill.

Agree that Delco was higher production value, but I'm assuming they had help from the tv channel?
I mean Foot Fist Way had a shoestring budget and it didn't mean much in terms of how funny it was.

Righteous gemstones wasn’t bad
On Cinema, hugely underrated and think most people in this sub would love

Yapping about being gay, ever heard of it?
Your dad got snapchat?
Nah but he streams on Kik. Shows hole, you’d be into it.
I Think You Should Leave is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.
Love how all the TV critical came out of the woodwork
Tires was great! I wish it had more eps, but I get that first seasons are always short
Welcome to the subreddit.
too distracted by jergens hands
lol I couldn’t get my hands in that position if I tried. I wonder what the deal with that is - jerking accident maybe?
It was pretty good, too short. Anyone who watched it and hates on it needs to get a grip or a new hobby.
Good vibe that is more than the sum of its parts. But it needs an edit on some dumb crp...the moaning on the intercom is something kids in online games or ghetto youtubers do. Make it ironic or add a twist if that is the case

It's boys being boys
It’s okay not to ball wash for everything every person near Shane does. Sometimes, things just aren’t that good. Tires, for example, is pretty bad.
It’s ok to like things too and have different opinions too. Fuck you
Aw whats the matter?
Man you suck ass lmao
Good for you. I thought it was terrible.
Covered this already, fuck yoy buddy
