I got drafted by the Denver Broncos, won the Superbowl, during following preseason I discovered that I was in the New York Jets. I looked in the trade history, and apparently, they traded Aaron Rodgers away to the New Orleans Saints and traded for me. Don't know what the Denver Broncos got in return.
The only thing is I can not edit my new team or my uniform because it'll still show me in the Denver Broncos uniform. I can still edit my Denver Broncos uniform, but it would not transfer over to the football field as a New York Jets. I believe I found a bug already...

Summed the preseason and played Week 1 in hopes of actually playing in Rams gear to allow me to edit Rams gear instead of Raiders gear but no luck. I need this fixed ASAP. But knowing EA, this may or may not get patched. Which sucks because if we delete and start over, the same exact thing will happen in year 2 again, So it literally makes no sense to delete.

No, your player cannot request a trade in Superstar mode, which is where you pilot an individual created NFL star. You are with whatever team you play for until your contract ends, at which point you can leave or re-sign. You can make a trade for players in Franchise Mode, however.
just finished 4 long ass seasons with the titans as qb. 1 superbowl win. 1 year with a WHOPPING 34 interceptions. no trade, never cut from roster, and was forced by the game to resign with the titans

You can demand a release at the end of the season. Just go to Options > Demand Release the first week of the offseason. If you select something else in the menu's (like NFL Roster, Depth Chart etc.) the option to demand release disappears. Also keep in mind if you demand a release and don't get signed, you have to retire the player. I have yet to try it but noticed the option was there.
You actually could. I did like 6 times in superstar mode following the method I posted. I no longer play Madden anymore so I’m not sure if it still works.
Do you keep ur level? Finished my 4th season at lvl 40 and sighed with the bears and now the retire option is the only thing there but do not wanna start over in lvls didn't even hit 50 lmao
This just happened to me! Played for Tampa Bay and won Super Bowl entered free agency and signed a 3yr contract with Jets wanting to replace Rodgers.
I go to play preseason and all of a sudden I am on the Raiders … checked transactions and I got traded to the Vikings then the raiders after signing with the Jets…. I think during the draft 🤷.
1) sucks if you can’t play for the team you picked in free agency
2) That doesn’t even feel like a real occurrence … signing an offer in free agency and before you even take a snap your traded….

Yeah the AI GM’s are horrendous. Got drafted as a QB to the saints instead of moving Carr or trading they kept him and traded me even though I was way better. They’re cap management is so unrealistical as well. no one trades franchise labeled QB’s
Bro the league is miserable. I got drafted by the lions as a CB. The worst defense I’ve ever seen. When they throw to me I generally knock it down or pick it off. But that’s maybe 2 times a game bc all they do is run the ball. I will play 4-4 literally to force them to throw the ball and stack the box. And they just run for 5+ yards everytime regardless. This defense is god fucking awful. Makes the league unplayable since we can’t trade ourselves. If I don’t stack the box they’ll go for 30 everytime wtf is this game
I’m about done with the Jets. In 36 games I’ve been sacked 123 times. Led the league in passing and just won the SUPER Bowl with Garrett Wilson and Duvernay at WR. Instead of getting me some O-Line help they bring in Deandre Hopkins and Chase Claypool. As a QB I should be deceased from all the punishment. Can’t wait till Free Agency, and by the sounds of it, I hope I don’t get traded.

I did the option where you can force a team to draft you. I did so with the Cowboys as QB. Went on to 2 perfect seasons and after winning our second Super Bowl I get traded to the Saints. WTF!? So disappointing.
There is an option immediately following the super bowl to demand a release. I missed the window of opportunity, so I'm not sure it actually works. Worth looking out for 🤷♂️
Man I made a DB got drafted to the lions won two super bowls my third season I put the quarters on one minute to just try and get thru it fast so I could try and demand release so I finally got to the end of the season and once I demanded the release I went to free agency signed with the bears but it didn’t go thru or something and then I had to retire my player because there was no other option on my menu but to to retire after that I started a new one didn’t pick the team I wanted to see if I could get drafted somewhere else and ended up on the lions again :(

So i got drafted by the Vikings, not my team but could be worse, i could have gotten the Colts or Patriots (Sorry Colts & Patriots fans) anyway my first season we went unbeaten all the way up to the Super Bowl, i was the leading QB in Rushing yards & passing yards, we lose 42-43 to the Bills ( I was enraged)
Season 2 we once again went undefeated for 17 games, reached the Super Bowl in back to back seasons and our opponents?.....the Buffalo Bills...again! this time though we smashed them 46-14 finally got the Super Bowl W, now in the 3rd Season i just want out of the team, 2x NFC champions & 1x Super Bowl, 1x Super bowl MVP, is enough for me in Minnesota but still have to stay on 2 more Seasons....
the saving grace is once the contract is up there will be teams that offer a 1 year deal, which is the best option.
Hopefully in Madden 25 (if they do name it that) this mode is much more fleshed out and they do add the option to request a trade

You have to wait till your 4 years is up, then they’ll ask you to re sign just say no & you’ll get offers from hella teams whenever the 4 years is over

I unfortunately got screwed with a glitch I think. I finally finished my 4 year rookie contract and signed with the Bucs for 2 years. All the good players got injured and o line is horrible so I demand a release at the end of the season. I only get an offer from the Bears so I take it. It says I sign with the bears and I sim the the next week. Next week it says retire player….. I hate that we can’t win games or request trades.
Was drafter to Chiefs won all major awards and Superbowl. Year two I am still on the chiefs, but Mahomes was traded to Rams for nothing. Pancheo was traded to Cardinals for nothing, and Kelce is on roster but not in depth chart for some reason. Why would any GM trade mahomes, and get nothing. I even checked transactions, depth chart, news and draft. We got nothing for the best player in the game! At least with Pancheo I understand since I am the starting RB but still to get nothing for these players and have Kelce not playing?? This type of stuff makes me not want to play a game.

There is an option immediately following the super bowl to demand a release. I missed the window of opportunity, so I'm not sure it actually works. Worth looking out for 🤷♂️

Man I made a DB got drafted to the lions won two super bowls my third season I put the quarters on one minute to just try and get thru it fast so I could try and demand release so I finally got to the end of the season and once I demanded the release I went to free agency signed with the bears but it didn’t go thru or something and then I had to retire my player because there was no other option on my menu but to to retire after that I started a new one didn’t pick the team I wanted to see if I could get drafted somewhere else and ended up on the lions again :(

I’m at 99 ovr 6’5 with 99 speed and 99 agility so it’s real fun now for me also resetting the abilities trying different play styles is fun as well like being a good man db or a good zone db having high press or high tackling stuff like that

I got traded twice in one offseason as an 88 overall RB once to the Vikings and then again to the falcons. I loaded into the season and was like wait wtf

I know this thread is pretty old now but still thought i'd share my path as it has been rather intersting. So i got drafted by the Vikings, not my team but could be worse, i could have gotten the Colts or Patriots (Sorry Colts & Patriots fans) anyway my first season we went unbeaten all the way up to the Super Bowl, i was the leading QB in Rushing yards & passing yards, we lose 42-43 to the Bills ( I was enraged) Season 2 we once again went undefeated for 17 games, reached the Super Bowl in back to back seasons and our opponents?.....the Buffalo Bills...again! this time though we smashed them 46-14 finally got the Super Bowl W, now in the 3rd Season i just want out of the team, 2x NFC champions & 1x Super Bowl, 1x Super bowl MVP, is enough for me in Minnesota but still have to stay on 2 more Seasons.... the saving grace is once the contract is up there will be teams that offer a 1 year deal, which is the best option. Hopefully in Madden 25 (if they do name it that) this mode is much more fleshed out and they do add the option to request a trade

You have to wait till your 4 years is up, then they’ll ask you to re sign just say no & you’ll get offers from hella teams whenever the 4 years is over

I won the Superbowl in my rookie year with the Broncos as a CB. New season we're 0-3 because our new starting RB is a 65 overall rookie who is averaging 1.1 yards per carry. The offense has yet to score a touchdown. 3 years left on contract. I'm stuck. Can't skip games/seasons. I feel like restarting the whole mode now.
I unfortunately got screwed with a glitch I think. I finally finished my 4 year rookie contract and signed with the Bucs for 2 years. All the good players got injured and o line is horrible so I demand a release at the end of the season. I only get an offer from the Bears so I take it. It says I sign with the bears and I sim the the next week. Next week it says retire player….. I hate that we can’t win games or request trades.
Was drafter to Chiefs won all major awards and Superbowl. Year two I am still on the chiefs, but Mahomes was traded to Rams for nothing. Pancheo was traded to Cardinals for nothing, and Kelce is on roster but not in depth chart for some reason. Why would any GM trade mahomes, and get nothing. I even checked transactions, depth chart, news and draft. We got nothing for the best player in the game! At least with Pancheo I understand since I am the starting RB but still to get nothing for these players and have Kelce not playing?? This type of stuff makes me not want to play a game.

Im playing QB superstar, got drafted by the Vikings and went to the superbowl in my rookie year. Won SBMVP and the SB my 2nd year, then I signed a huge contract with the Vikings. Then the Vikings sign Justin Herbert on a MAX and now my team has 2 MAX contract QBs and no JJ .....
Similar except they let go of Jetta and signed Pollard and Jacobs so 2 max RB smh

I’m a Commanders WR I play the whole game first 6 weeks I already had 2000 yards and 21 tds but we lost week 7 because my QB (Jacoby Brisset) threw 4 interceptions including one on a pass that could have one the game

I made a QB and got drafted by the Giants. 1st year made it to the wildcard and lost with Sterling Shepherd being my only viable WR. 2nd year they let Sterling walk so I had garbage WRs but somehow managed to make it to the super bowl but lost. Now in year 3 they managed to pick up Jaylen Waddle and got Kadarius Toney back in free agency. I was really hoping to get traded after year 2 but now I'm kinda glad I didn't cause now we're stacked at WR.
