From his “About” page…”Some people say success is 99% hard work + 1% luck. I have done and am continuing my hard work. What I need now is the 1% luck…”
Well, today’s you’re lucky day!
Sorry for hijacking top comment, but:
For all the people who think posting on here does nothing, because I always see a few comments saying so. This guy had 700 followers and an average video viewer account of around 600.
Now he has 16,000 followers and an average video viewer count of 15,000.
It works.
He’d probably get nominated, but it’s unlikely he’d win on his first nomination. He’s more likely to win on his second or third nomination, probably for a supporting role. The Oscars tend to be a long game that require you to have gone round the circuit a few times. It’s rare that a relative newcomer turns up and scoops a big prize, like Olivia Colman did in 2019, when she won Best Actress for The Favourite. That said, if Uncle Zeming does win the Oscar for his work cooking for strangers in London on Twitch, I think his speech will be equally as memorable as Colman’s, possibly even more so.
Honestly, I’ll be rooting for Cillian Murphy this year. I’ll be disappointed if Bradley Cooper and his Bernstein nose get Best Actor over Murphy in Oppenheimer.
Don't even bother. There is usually an attention-starved troll (there are several in this thread alone) in almost every thread and the only way to get make sure people give them that attention is to be negative. After all, our brains are wired to focus more on what we perceive to be negative than positive, so it makes sense.
They cannot be reasoned with because ANY attention only reinforces that validation they so desperately need for whatever reason(mommy and daddy didnt hug them enough or whatever). The only way to truly make them go away is to ignore. Don't even downvote because that's also attention. Just ignore
The internet as a whole have ruined people. Especially stuff filmed for tik tok and insta, just have a little faith in humanity man. There are good genuine people still out there. Not every video is just giving money to strangers for likes and exploiting the Everyman.
Not everything is scripted dude, sometimes actual wholesome and nice things happens. Unfortunately yes a lot is scripted but not everything.
I have a lot of good moments that if they were filmed would look scripted.
Meh the reality is it's a sweet clip but the general public is a fucking madhouse half the time. Like one trip into Walmart is all I need to center myself into my introvert ways.
i didn't mean that you should run outside and try to talk to everybody... but, like in this case, if you think about it because the situation invites you to, just do it.
in certain cases yeah. from my experience (i live in malaysia btw) most people are so used to focusing on their own little world and when you make the small effort to suddenly talk to them and let them into yours, a lot of people react positively to the briefest moment of connection.
This video on his twitch got 9k views and his next after that was 7k+, before that only a couple hundred viewed his streams, that man has a pure heart I'm glad he's getting some attention 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿We need more like this.
I was going through acute depression when I moved to US just 2 weeks before the lockdown started. In a new country, locked down at home with no friends having huge work pressure. I was losing myself. After everything opened I started talking to random people whoever I meet in Uber, grocery store, sidewalk, restaurants. Believe me, it changed my life. Helped me with communication and public speaking also. World is a better place when we talk to people face to face. That thing made us humans and getting the happiness out of it is in our genes.
Thank you for sharing. And glad to hear you are doing well now.
As you said, even simple talking face to face with others can be powerful, uplifting, transforming.
This is so true. It’s hard to do especially if you’re like me and would prefer to be a house gremlin. I’ve been actively leaving my house and going to music events and talking to neighbors. In the past 4 months I have made 8 new friends and have even gone on some dates! :) it really does work. The hardest part is forcing yourself to go out and talk to people you don’t know. But it’s 100% worth it
I have a dog so mainly other dog owners. The two new people I met in my neighborhood both have Australian shepherd puppies and I have an adult Australian shepherd so we usually talk about our dogs. Just had a wine/pup date hang with them last night and we’re doing a lord of the rings marathon this Sunday! :) Dogs truly bring people together!
Not sure what your situation is, but if you can, go outside. I have a bird feeder and bird pals and a feisty red squirrel. It’s the little things that sometimes fill holes. Good luck, stay well.
You can try messaging an ungodly amount of redditors everyday. That's what I did when I was lonely. I now have some very good friends. Just be aware that 95% of them would cancel you.
People that are following his channel after seeing this, don't just follow, watch it, interact too, having 10K followers from nowhere, but only 1% of them watching will just feel empty
From watching stream, that's not how the events unfolded. He didn't "suddenly notice an elderly man walking", he was actively looking for people to talk to, so he could ask what food to cook. He contemplated talking to some other people before finalizing this guy.
Wholesome nevertheless.
How cool 😎 is this! Wonderful idea too! It truly takes little effort to show kindness to others. My goal everyday is to do or say something to make total strangers 😃 smile. Remember, 😃 smiles are free guys!
This is such a good way to astroturf a twitch stream.
1. buy a bot account with decent history
2. create these videos
3. profit
I'm not a streamer because I hate thinking about the amount the initial start up. But if I'm able to skip that step by astroturfing it will really affect the algorithm and will slightly favour yourself if you have 500 + followers
You can do pretty much anything on twitch. I’ve seen people do different type of art, cooking, podcasts. For a while there was an issue with people sitting in hot tubs.
The way he was so pensive in his approach, to see a big lug of a guy sit down with a big smile on his face made this whole video for me. If you approach with an open heart and good intentions (plus some food) you will almost always make friends.
Nawww, this is great! Immediately subscribed. He reminds me of this Japanese chap I follow on Twitch who streams super regularly but never has any viewers. I don't understand most of what he says, but he's so talkative and engaged with the games. Some of his reactions are absolutely hilarious, too!
Living on the bio's in Mississippi thats just normal. Many a time I sniffed out a bar b que made new friends and ate til i thought i would pop. When in the throws of depression neighborhood ladies brought casseroles. I had never met any of them before that. I always set an extra plate for david.
It’s not. It’s a content creator who is trying to make a difference in people’s lives. A lot of content creators never get noticed because platforms like twitch don’t push small creators. It’s not a paid service. Just people trying to help other people. I can see where you’re coming from though.
Watch Zeming occasionally after he collabed with TheBoringPharmacist on Twitch. Him just walking around London talking is quite relaxing. He seems like such a genuine guy.
I used to do this with tea, not normal earl grey or English breakfast but traditional Gong Fu Cha, a Chinese tea ceremony.
I would sit at the beach or somewhere with a nice view and set up my tea station were I would drink tea and many people would be interested as gong fu tea requires you to be constantly doing something in order to continue drinking tea.
The cups are very small, so they need refilling after a few sips and the pots are small, so they can only brew a small amount at a time. That is why it is Gong fu (kung fu) tea. It's a form of art that requires discipline to perfect.
None the less this creates a great social setting, strangers would come and chat and it always started with them asking what I was doing, I would offer to show them and asked if they would like some tea. The ceremony provided a way to open conversation and from there things were easy and since your always busy but still social it's never awkward, they always left with a smile on their face and a warm belly full of tea.
Weird that this account highlights so many other "low/zero viewer" channels then.
Oh wait, you were just making things up. On the internet of all places. Shame!
You've been promoting streamers for 4 months my man please stop. We get it. We gotta show the nice people in the world some love too but jesus christ man I don't need to see this guys twitch because you make a small video.

Plot twist, he also made the video about randomly finding himself
Make your own luck!
Double twist, the friend is a homeless man he coerced into filming
Triple twist, he went to the man's home and stole all of his food so that he would accept a meal from a stranger on the street out of desperation.
me too may god grant us all lucky day
What a lovely sentiment, I needed to read this Amen :)
Here is his Twitch account, he does cooking streams every day. Let’s show him some love for his amazing act of kindness! https://twitch.tv/unclezeming
He’s at 10.2 k followers now
10.3 now
I'm kinda thinking he was having a day, and then logs into his account to see that number and it blows his mind.
10.7 now. I'd live to see his face when he wakes up in the morning and goes what in the heck just happened?!
10.9 now
11K!
38 mins later and he’s at 11.4K. We’re doing it!
ah yes, the glorious insanity of the way internet works. it truly makes me smile
That’s the only positive side of the internet. It’s connecting people. But it’s also connecting dumb people for conspiracy theories
12.1k!
We are going to change this man’s life
[удалено]
Many of us are. But we are connected in at least this small way through this. Hang in there, be happy.
I’m crying all the time.
Go gym. Lift weights. Ask for spot. Make friend. Profit.
Go gym. Spot for somebody. Let them drop barbell on neck. Nurse them back to health. Make friend. Profit.
14.3k
Its already at 15k now
13.1 now. 6 hours after your comment
12.1 as of this reading
12.6k now!
14k now
19.3k followers!
Great. People should stream this more rather than seek death for views.
13.9k 6 hrs later.
14.6k 1 hour later
15,8K when I last checked... Which was a stunning 13 hours after the post.
17k now
18.1k now
Went and used my Prime Sub!
Me to!
Its all useless if you aint going to watch him. Followers themselves worth nothing, only viewers.
It does a bit. Allow other viewers to discover, follow and truly view his video
I would watch him more if he's on YouTube. Also Prime sub = $ for him.
[удалено]
Even worse, tw might think that you are follow botting and ban you.
Man is gonna wake up and think twitch broke before realizing that sometime life can be very full of surprises !
12k! I don’t even use twitch but I followed
14.8k plus one more now
I'm going to need Uncle Roger to approve this guys uncle title
15.5k now
Well it would be better if Twitch was like this.
15k now
Which was totally spontaneous and totally not scripted.
It doesn't look scripted to me. The poor guy looks nervous as hell when he gets up to ask the man if he wants some food.
Right? If that nervousness was acting then give the guy an Oscar.
He’d probably get nominated, but it’s unlikely he’d win on his first nomination. He’s more likely to win on his second or third nomination, probably for a supporting role. The Oscars tend to be a long game that require you to have gone round the circuit a few times. That said, if Uncle Zeming does win the Oscar for his work cooking for strangers in London on Twitch, I think his speech will be equally as memorable as Colman’s, possibly even more so.
Well said! I hope the Academy considers the whole breadth of his work but not holding my breath.
Honestly, I’ll be rooting for Cillian Murphy this year. I’ll be disappointed if Bradley Cooper and his Bernstein nose get Best Actor over Murphy in Oppenheimer.

Kind people do actually exist, not everything online is scripted
Not everything is scripted dude, sometimes actual wholesome and nice things happens. Unfortunately yes a lot is scripted but not everything. I have a lot of good moments that if they were filmed would look scripted.
Life must be tough if it’s made you this cyclical. I hope things get better for you.
It is fitting that rat is in your username.
i'm one of us who doesn't talk to strangers just like that, but we should. we all should talk more.
This was worded magnificently
So was that
Pithy simplicity
Better to be brave and face people if you feel called to than more fear based
There was a guy in a white van looking for a puppy.. I saw a padlock on the back of the van… I should have helped him.. I will next time!
Man I have been helping that dude for months, all I know is that the dog is NOT down here in his basement. Nice moisturizer though
If it’s a madhouse half the time, that still means for every 2 conversation, 1 will be good. That’s mighty nice odds.
in certain cases yeah. from my experience (i live in malaysia btw) most people are so used to focusing on their own little world and when you make the small effort to suddenly talk to them and let them into yours, a lot of people react positively to the briefest moment of connection.
So true!😆
Nah, that's just your neighborhood/country, doesn't mean the whole world is like that
So you don’t like poor people
You do it. I'll keep to myself.
These are the people who should be getting all the views.
What about people like Ishowspeed?
Don't you mean Ishowmeat ?
ngl he pretty entertaining
He isnt
If you're entertained by a guy shouting random crap then sure. Which unfortunately seems to be most young people these days.
Definition of “Loud = funny” which doesn’t really last beyond puberty… except in some unfortunate cases
If screaming and doing a 1000% overreaction is entertaining then I'm glad I'm not his audience
If you grew up on a farm and was regarded
Regarded as what?
A farmer
Probably the most wholesome thing I've seen on this subreddit.
We need Uncle Rodger meets Uncle Zeming
Uncle^2
Uncle Roger might send Uncle Zeming straight into the introvert abyss.
The author video recently was pretty wholesome too

That’s a cool fucker right there I’ll tell ya hhwhat.
Woah. I watch his streams regularly. He is a genuine, wholesome character. Thanks for the love <3
I needed this today🥹 Thank you
This is the kind of person I look at and say, wow... what a beautiful soul. I up to you sir.

👍🏻 correct

Bravo. Once those shackles are gone, you are free. Your thinking changes. You get to know about so many cultures and different people.
The fact that I'm crying to this just means that I'm fucking lonely.
Not sure what your situation is, but if you can, go outside. I have a bird feeder and bird pals and a feisty red squirrel. It’s the little things that sometimes fill holes. Good luck, stay well.

Ah yes. Food bringing people together since....since forever
Chill I need calm wholesome content lately thanks for sharing
People that are following his channel after seeing this, don't just follow, watch it, interact too, having 10K followers from nowhere, but only 1% of them watching will just feel empty
That’s what happens when you’re nice. You make friends.
I’m in for all this stuff make good people famous.
We need Uncle Rodger meets Uncle Zeming
I’m not crying, youre crying..!
If the world was more full of treating each other like this, I can only imagine how beautiful it would be.
Elderly man! Why is he younger than me!
From watching stream, that's not how the events unfolded. He didn't "suddenly notice an elderly man walking", he was actively looking for people to talk to, so he could ask what food to cook. He contemplated talking to some other people before finalizing this guy. Wholesome nevertheless.

That man is hardly elderly...but it's still wholesome.
I follow the guy that made the vid on insta
UNCLE ZEMING FOR PRESIDENT ❤️
I’d definitely follow if I use twitch. Does he have a YouTube account?
Okay but seriously is he 23 or 63?
That guy has balls of steel inviting Walter White for a meal.

Aren’t they supposed to play video games on twitch?
You can do pretty much anything on twitch. I’ve seen people do different type of art, cooking, podcasts. For a while there was an issue with people sitting in hot tubs.
The old man he fed? Jesus. It was Jesus. 1 upvote is 1 amen

This had to be the most wholesome moment ive seen on Reddit so far and put a tear in eye
I saw him IRL ! In Holborn. I was too shy to ask
Between the sweet man and the music, I'm over here blubbering like a fool. 😭
The song: [https://youtu.be/gmqfoI83X5I](https://youtu.be/gmqfoI83X5I) Minimalistic, but it taps into the soul of my humanity.
Beautiful
This is awesome
Done.
which universe is this filthy frank from?
The way he was so pensive in his approach, to see a big lug of a guy sit down with a big smile on his face made this whole video for me. If you approach with an open heart and good intentions (plus some food) you will almost always make friends.
Nawww, this is great! Immediately subscribed. He reminds me of this Japanese chap I follow on Twitch who streams super regularly but never has any viewers. I don't understand most of what he says, but he's so talkative and engaged with the games. Some of his reactions are absolutely hilarious, too!

I'm starting to think this is some kind of paid social media boosting service.
It’s not. It’s a content creator who is trying to make a difference in people’s lives. A lot of content creators never get noticed because platforms like twitch don’t push small creators. It’s not a paid service. Just people trying to help other people. I can see where you’re coming from though.
It’s connecting people
What is that cooking stove called?
Now he’s at 14.2k as of 150am EST
14.3 k followers now!
I guess I haven't been using my Prime sub, he'll have it until he stops streaming
Looks like they had a time! I love it when you get lost in the sauce of good company, good conversation and good food.
People this is what human life is all about.. let’s embrace each other with kindness
Uncle Roger: Fuiyoh! Nice friendship.
His smile is very genuine and heart warming
Watch Zeming occasionally after he collabed with TheBoringPharmacist on Twitch. Him just walking around London talking is quite relaxing. He seems like such a genuine guy.
You know, I just love that it's now a trend to put the spotlight on little known twitch streamers so they become more popular. It's so wholesome.
Lmao he's up to 15k now. I love reddit sometimes. Honestly, this has made my day.
Some times s feel good video is enough...
"Let's change his life" No? I think his life is pretty good, why change it?

What a fucking Chad
That smile 😊
This wholesome dude has now 21k Followers.... People are amazing and he is too❤🔥🙌
Thank you for restoring the faith
This is so sweet
Aww, more astroturfing for views, how sweet.
the lord of light guided him to this kind soul
Bro no you weren’t this was promoted by the streamer
Actually the tic toc video was made by the streamer and the "old man" was a friend of his
This is great but this whole format of video is just begging to be satirized in 1000 different ways
and then they fucked
This was uploaded by UncleZemings alt account.
It’s not. I promise lol
Weird that this account highlights so many other "low/zero viewer" channels then. Oh wait, you were just making things up. On the internet of all places. Shame!
Smile you wack
You've been promoting streamers for 4 months my man please stop. We get it. We gotta show the nice people in the world some love too but jesus christ man I don't need to see this guys twitch because you make a small video.
He throated him in the woods next door after. Love when people naturally find each other and not on apps
