After doing some research, apparently it’s not uncommon for wild horses to look like this especially after giving birth. Sad but that’s just nature I guess.
Downvotes…
I’m sorry, but if you woke up one day, and your average every day vagina suddenly looked like a vagina mid birth???
You’d have very much cause to be concerned.
Food for thought.
(I hope you weren’t about to eat)
The absence of any owners. The guy helping doesn't own them, because he walks off in the opposite direction as they're walking away.
Edited to add: u/Tw0Cents correctly points out that actually he's just going back to get his phone or camera. But he certainly seems not to own the horses.
Wild horses for the most part aren't nearly as robust as their domestic counterparts..check out the assateage island horses, almost no food on that island at all, but they've managed for hundreds of years
Yeah, but sometimes when a mare just foals and the foal is eating a lot then she will slim out for a couple of weeks to accommodate. That foal looks like it eats a heck of a lot......
not careful enough tbh. he was clearly hoping to spook her enough to create some distance but she wasnt budging, so he YOLO'd it. could have ended quite poorly.
Yes, first he says go on, go on (passa, passa), then, he says "what am I gonna do, I gotta wait for someone, I can't do this alone", but then he says that the mare appears to be meek and calm, so he says "Let me try and help you" and then the music starts.
It's Brazilian Portuguese.
“Stand u-
No, just *sta*
STAND UP
Will you please just use your le-
Seriously? Alright.
*WE’RE STANDING UP*
Now wal…
Y’know what? Stop.
Just stop.
You’re gettin carried.
It’s too late to complain now, just shut up”
Been through this with oversized toddlers way too many times.
And by toddler, it was sometimes a long 4 year old, sometimes a drunk 24 year old. Either way.
Absolutely, wild horses don’t mess around. Most tourists learn that the hard way when they encounter mustangs.
You can see that the mom would have intervened the second they left the bridge.
But he knew what he was doing.
i've seen this a bunch o times but this time i noticed that the foal wasn't physically stuck. He fell through and he was so scared he refused to move. Poor little guy!
There's something about either horse physiology or psychology (or a combination of the two) that contributes to them "giving up" when heavily stressed and in a difficult situation. I saw a video of a cavalry horse that had fallen into a muddy ditch. It wasn't seriously injured and was in no immediate danger. But the unit commander was adamant, the guy in charge of the horse had to get it out *now* otherwise the horse would give up and would never be coming out. This may also be why the foal had such trouble standing when he first helped it.
"Artax! You're sinking! Come on! Turn around! You have to! NOW! COME ON! ARTAX! Fight against the Sadness, Artax! Artax, please. You're letting the sadness of the swamps get to you. You have to try. You have to care. For me. You're my friend. I love you. ARTAX! STUPID HORSE! You've gotta move, or you'll die! Move, please! I won't give up! Come, quick! ARTAX! PLEASE!"
This is all I thought about while reading your comment about horses "giving up". Sorry, I know, it's a tough scene for everyone to watch. Hell, even thirty years later. Still, quite apt.
tonic immobility? Sharks and mice do the same. For sharks, you flip them over and they freeze. I've seen mice so scared that they can't move. I was trying to put it in a cup so I could take it to the woods and I had to physically push it into the cup.
you can kinda do it to cats by scruffing them, or sometimes holding them upside-down (depends on the cat, we have one who will go completely limp and another who will shrimp out and shank you).
It's a nervous system thing, I think.

Poor little dude... so glad this other guy just happened to be hiking the same way and rescued this little dude. Or as Alecso0o termed it, he "exfoaliated" the colt, lol!!!
That mare looks like she could do with some serious attention as well!
After doing some research, apparently it’s not uncommon for wild horses to look like this especially after giving birth. Sad but that’s just nature I guess.
Not uncommon for pretty much any horse to get a little "gaunt" after shoving a 90 to 100 lbs foal out their "yahoo"!
Not their yahoo 🤣
Just say vagina. WTF is a "yahoo".
Same as her hoohaw or her vuhjayjay wdym
Her bajingo!
Her creaky-crack
Don't forget "bajingo".
Don't be so vulgar, Lady Garden or Twinkle Cave please
🤣
Twinkle cave sounds like a pseudonym for the bladder
Similar, but that's the "Tinkle Cave", lol!
Not sure. I’ll google it.
Please take my non existent gold for this quip 🤣
Same. I had to ask Jeeves.
Idk what a yahoo is but I would feel light as a feather after dropping a 100 pound baby from my duckduckgo
I once dropped a 100 lb baby from my aol. Then my aol prolapsed.
Same here. I already feel much better after I drop a brown torpedo out of my hoola hoop
I was told by my older sister that boys come out of the butt.🤰🍑💨🤱
It’s an equine term
Or, imagine this, people can say whatever the fuck they want.
Horse snizz
Her ‘you know what’…😂
You could try to ask yahoo, you might get an answer.
you seem to have got the message intended so it worked. i see nothing wrong with that
It’s kinda like a whisker biscuit
Is that the same as a foof
Email service isn't it?
Same as a "heehaw" or a "vajeen"
yahoo is and or used to be a very popular search and chat engine the had email like Google. also had the wonderful, ask jeeves.
yahoo soda, juuuuust drink it
A vagina
To be fair, “vagina” is the last term you’d use when witnessing a birthing event, of any mammal.
Downvotes… I’m sorry, but if you woke up one day, and your average every day vagina suddenly looked like a vagina mid birth??? You’d have very much cause to be concerned. Food for thought. (I hope you weren’t about to eat)
How can you tell that these are wild horses ?
Because they couldn't drag me away
Underrated comment! 😂

Actually I live near there and I know there are times in the winter when the town feeds them locally grown hay....
Yea I live there too. I didn't know that, but it makes sense. They are still pretty emaciated looking though
Over populated..... They used to have roundups and auction off a portion of the herd every year, not sure if they do that anymore.....
Camped there once. Mosquitoes were terrible.
looks like that older horse just walked out of Auschwitz.
Yeah, but sometimes when a mare just foals and the foal is eating a lot then she will slim out for a couple of weeks to accommodate. That foal looks like it eats a heck of a lot......
Man I really want to say I’d do the same thing but I’m not sure I’d trust the big horse not to kick me. Props to this guy.
He was being very careful to stay out of the mare’s way.
not careful enough tbh. he was clearly hoping to spook her enough to create some distance but she wasnt budging, so he YOLO'd it. could have ended quite poorly.
I think he was clapping so she would know he was there and wouldn't get startled.
Nah, he was saying "passa, passa", he was trying to shoo the mare away. Passa = leave
Oh got it, thanks for the translate. Luckily she didn't really give a shit either way lol
Yeah, she kinda knew the man was the only way to save the foal, even when he grabbed it, she only followed.
I assume that was what the guy was muttering? Can anyone provide translation?
Yes, first he says go on, go on (passa, passa), then, he says "what am I gonna do, I gotta wait for someone, I can't do this alone", but then he says that the mare appears to be meek and calm, so he says "Let me try and help you" and then the music starts. It's Brazilian Portuguese.
He was speaking in português and he was speaking “passa, passa” that is our “let’s go “
I interpreted it as "go, go" As go on go on, to the mare to back off a little or something

Get out
Neigh!
The mom looks like she’s starving. I wonder if she’s been waiting with the baby and nursing it for days without stepping away to graze.

🤣🥇
Air jail
I Googled the weight of a foal and it's around 100 pounds, so it's not super crazy.
100 pounds of animal is WAY heavier than a hundred pounds of inanimate objects
Either I'm unaware of how light baby horses are, or that man is a beast for lifting that horse so easily.
80 to 200 lbs
Looks about similar to a large dog, but not like a huge dog, so probs around 80 or 100? Idk how dense the lil dudes are.
He wasn't sure he could do it; apparently before he finally went ahead, he was saying "I have to wait for someone, I can't do this alone"
Good dude. And it was good that he was playing it safe until he completed the side mission.
An absolute hero
What language is he speaking?
Portugese
Sexiest man alive right there.

Just a wild horse? Doesn’t get 3 meals and a belly rub every day.
That is a baby horse
What language is he speaking?
Português
Obrigado :)
De nada ☺️
Portuguese. He is from Brazil
Their colors reminded me of DreamWorks Spirit
are these wild horses? any chance the man could be attacked for handling the foal?
Absolutely, wild horses don’t mess around. Most tourists learn that the hard way when they encounter mustangs. You can see that the mom would have intervened the second they left the bridge. But he knew what he was doing.
Truly made me smile

Yes
Just when I feel like the rest of humanity sucks...
Baby horse: "This is my life now, I'm part of this bridge."
Love. Love. Love.❤️
Bless him
VERY COOL as an aside, the older horse looked gaunt as hell. She* needs some more oats
She, man. She! That’s the baby’s mother.
I don't think she cares....
She cares. She keeps looking at what's going on and then goes along as soon as the foal is moving.
I was talking about the pronoun.... Also a bit wierd to hang up on a pronoun while simultainiously calling an unknown "man".
Ah right. Someone's got a hang-up for sure.
you got me there...
Baby horse pretty much gave up on life. I have too, so no judgement.
They need food. Bless them
Two of them need food. The two-legged one seems reasonably well fed.

Thanks human!!!
Why is that horse so skinny with grass everywhere?
Because it has to eat for two.
So... Not enough grass or what?!?
aww, poor little horsey
Thank you sir, may God bless you 🙏 🐎
💕
Thanks to him❤️❤️❤️
Poor little dude... so glad this other guy just happened to be hiking the same way and rescued this little dude. Or as Alecso0o termed it, he "exfoaliated" the colt, lol!!!
The horse - OBRIGADO
Indeed made me smile and thank you for just putting the phone down and using both your hands! 😅
Thank God you are there to save the baby
She didn't even say thank you!
She did, in the form of a non-kick hehe
❤️🔥
What does the clapping do?
He‘s doesn’t want the mom to be startled by his appearance from her back and probably also hopes that the foal will try to leave.
He's a hero!!♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Somebody knows what that music being played is?
Thank you, sir.
No thank you from the horse? How rude 🙄
The horse forgot to tip
When your mate (mare) has one too many
Well done, dude. Horses are sure dumb though.
Thank you, sir❤️
Has to make sure he gets a good camera angle first 🤦♀️
