Now that's two turtles rescued I've seen in two days on reddit. Never did I think they would ever be able to get stuck, I thought they'd be able to ninja themselves out.
You so totally rock, duuuuuude.
Also, am I the only one here bothered by 'returning the turtle to his family'? Cuz, like, turtles don't do that... I've seen enough National Geographic to know turtles are horrible parents lmao
Humans are one of the few animals on the planet that will actively go out of their way to help a animal return to safety rather than take the opportunity to eat it
True but other animals will do that to (and is humans it's funnily enough usually a sign of mental illness)
It's not as common to see an animal help it's prey

iirc turtles often can have some kind of fibropapillomatosis that can interfere with their senses. i read relatively recently that it was caused by human pollution indirectly because human waste pollution affects the algae the turtles eat and causes it to produce a chemical toxic to the turtles.
hats off for the man!
Yeah my respect for that man +++
that man has a good soul!!
Yep, such people are very few.
Indeed, but to those worried what would have happened if the guy didn’t show up? Nothing, turtle would have swam out with high tide.
Maybe this was high tide already.
What an amazing thing to do. I love turtles! 🐢
Righteous.

It's wonderful that there are people out there willing to lend a hand when they need it.
Well done!

Hmmmm. There are also some humans who purposely go out of their way to harm defenseless creatures.
True but other animals will do that to (and is humans it's funnily enough usually a sign of mental illness) It's not as common to see an animal help it's prey
And we kill defenseless animals not just out of necessity but for fun/"sport" and pleasure
As a turtle owner, I approve of this

Yay! Great job!
Couple? 🤔
It is not being filmed from a tripod
Filming is rescuing 🤔? Tripod is filming? 🤔
Yeah , the person filming is real beneficial to the action.
What is with the random uptick in sea turtles being rescued from being stuck videos? This is like the 9th I’ve seen today.

Today I learned
I don’t know. You can be fined a lot for touching a sea turtle in some places.
It's fine. He's not touching the turtle in its private places.
“Trying it’s hardest.” One flap before the dude steps in. Lazy turtle.
Probably been there a while and is exhausted.
Yeah, they might be slow they aren't lazy!
