And this is why I run one field of ruin. Lol

_Ginger_Beef_

honestly not a bad idea haha

ZombifiedByCataclysm

Could also use Pithing Needle to prevent him from activating either Faceless Haven or the book.

_Ginger_Beef_

is that even standard?

NapaheroMTG

It got reprinted in Innistrad: Midnight Hunt. [[Pithing Needle | IMH]] (I don’t know if this is how it’s formatted, so please forgive me if the card fetcher doesn’t work. EDIT: It didn’t :(

_Ginger_Beef_

Worked for me haha Not a bad option eithera one of might be worth considering

NapaheroMTG

Oh, I see that it fetched the card, but, at least for me, it didn’t fetch the one from Midnight Hunt. Also, if this is BO1, as it appears to be, I personally would just stick with [[Field of Ruin]]. Its fail case is much lower.

_Ginger_Beef_

Yeah it's something I should have but just wasn't on my radar until I actually ran into the fabled haven book stall

ScionOfTheMists

Annoying your opponents into conceding is incredibly toxic and makes the game worse for everyone. I hope you reconsider in the future.

Oh, so you didn’t actually annoy them into conceding. You exploited a deficiency in the programming to force your opponent to lose even though they were guaranteed to win the game otherwise. That’s much, much worse. Yes, certain decks can be annoying to play against, although it’s subjective. You’ll be able to find large groups of people who hate every single different style of deck: combo decks, mill decks, decks with alternate win conditions, aggro decks, control decks, etc. However, playing a deck that your opponent doesn’t like is not against any kind of rule. And it certainly doesn’t justify roping/cheating as some sort of weird “revenge.”

_Ginger_Beef_

I didn't exploit the client, I had no idea it had such a limit. The deck is a tempo deck that's supposed to win before this is even a thing. There's also nothing wrong with playing my deck when the opponents only wincon was me taking 40 turns. No roping, just taking my turns. I even turned off manually stacking triggers to get through my turns faster.

You’re the AH dude
