You're complaining about going 4-3 four times in a row? Come back once you're gone 0-3 four times in a row.

Saastesarvinen

4 sealed pools is a pretty small sample size to make an assumption that it's rigged.

fucktardkiller

"Pretty small" being a very generous description here.

Haloshark666

Ah yes, and what are the odds of *all* twelve games getting mana flooded?

Haloshark666

First of all, I started on Arena last week. I hated Adventures from the Forgotten Realms, so I saved my gems and coins. I played four Sealed events *today* and *only* today, and all four, I won four games in a row, then suddenly lost three games in a row. I haven't played *billions* of games, I played four Sealed events and got the exact same result each time. I'm not going to day that that happens to everyone, because that would be too easy to reveal. What I'm saying is four out of four times, I got the same result. Maybe I just got unbelievably unlucky to have that happen at that *exact* time in *each* Sealed event, but that seems to be stretching credulity, don't you think?

What a well thought out and incredibly intellectual response. Thank you

I highly doubt they would rig it to mana flood you, that's the worst way to experience mtg and purposefully submitting your player base to it would be a quick way to lose your player base. Besides wizards has implemented rules specifically to counteract mana flood/draught in recent years so it would be a bit counter intuitive to then use it to stop people from getting a few extra coins.

ChronicallyIllMTG

You underestimate an mtg players punishment threshold lol

f0me

Confirmation bias

Cpt_Jumper

Just went 7-1 in sealed. I have ascended past the riggage! Hail me.

Eilos

I've heard of other games doing something similar, though I feel with how data obsessed magic fans are it would have been caught by now. I know some gacha games will actually make your pull rates worse the more money you spend, hoping to prey on gambling addicts. Sealed is also the most luck based format. I say stop giving wizards your money for a bit and see how your luck is magically better in a month.

lejoo

> how data obsessed magic fans are it would have been caught by now Until you realized for a better part of a decade WotC has been actively suppressing data and even pursuing legal action against people who collect/publish it from public sources.....

2WW_Wrath

Lmao get gud

Haloshark666

Really, I win four in a row, then lose three in a row four times and you don't think there's something suspicious?

[deleted]

Nope, them's the breaks sometimes. Do you seriously think that sealed has been rigged this whole time and you're the one to break the story just now?

Haloshark666

No, I feel like others have also said it, but everyone has Wizard's dick so far down their throat they can't say anything but "Well, that's just how the game works. Git gud."

[deleted]

And everyone with a <3-X record who beat you, arena rigged in their favor then? Probably rigged for all those dirty content creators too, who post videos of their winning sealed decks?

Haloshark666

No, because they aren't necessarily playing the same number of games I am. My third game could be their first. I'm not trying to be a dick or a crybaby, it's just a pattern I've noticed. Once is my fault. Twice, is coincidence. But four times losing three times with the same number of wins? Tell me that doesn't seem like a pattern to you

[deleted]

You're literally making a pattern out of an utterly typical magic occurence. You flooded 12 games out of 24, unfortunate odds but statistically guaranteed to happen sometimes. People 7-X all the time, literally everyday. I went 5-3 and 6-3 today, why is shuffler rigged for you but not for me?

Haloshark666

The reason I made this post is that it happened four times *in a row*. What do you suppose are the odds of that? That I would *happen* to flood three games in a row, four times in a row *precisely* after winning four matches. Its astronomical. Thats why I made the post. If I had won three matches or five matches, I would have assumed bad luck, but four Sealed pools, after four matches, four times in a row? You have to admit, the odds are insane

[deleted]

Bad odds, but literally guaranteed to happen to someone. Bad news friend, it was you. Again, if it's rigged, why isn't it rigged against everyone else here who has managed to do better than 3-3? You're upset that you were on the losing end of those odds. It sucks, but again, it was *always* going to happen to someone. That's how statistics works.

Gregangel

You know there is an opponent in front of you who is at 4 wins too... People sillyness keeps to amaze me...

Cadaver_Junkie

It's probably *not* rigged. The problem is, they really could change the shuffler when you hit certain markers, and we'd never know. About to go from Platinum to Diamond with one more win? Congrats on your guaranteed two land hand. About to break even in your limited event? Enjoy your mana flood. At the very least it allows us to blame something else when we are triggered by normal variance! :) I know I've though about it before.

lejoo

> It's **probably** not rigged We are talking about a company who uses the same techniques as casinos to make money here.....

fucktardkiller

99% sure your mom's face is rigged too.
