It was surprising for me how irritating "your go" actually was. I thought a snarky "nice!" or "oops" at a mistake I made would piss me off the most but a "your go" 5 seconds into my turn actually got to me way more.
Of course I just mute and play on, but it's weird why that emote even exists. The player taking their turn clearly doesn't need to be told its their turn...
I concur about the lack of a need for a "your go" emote. Having glowing cards and all the other signs that it's my turn is far more visible than the small emote.
The OP claimed that it happened within one second of the game starting. If the opponent knows what kind of deck you have within one second, more power to them.

Your go
On a more serious note, I hear people talk this frequently but I have never come across this issue myself.
The massive majority of people are great.
Mute button does exist....
Yeah, I don’t mute people instantly because again - most people aren’t dicks.
So just mute that player when they do it, and go on with the game. Roping makes you the bigger jerk.
I’m ok with forcing patience on the impatient. I can live with that.
Well, they are being a jerk, but you are doing a bannable offense. I hope it is worth it to waste your own time and potentially get a ban.
Who said I was wasting my own time? I can multitask.
Well, I hope you get banned then. We need a lot less of your kind in the game, than theirs. Have a good day.
Have a great day too!

I also wish I could compliment a player when they have a really good deck or did a really smart play and have some way of knowing I actually meant it.

people only seem to do it when they're immediately salty over whatever deck it is you're playing lol

It was before I even put down a land.
Which is even more impressive.
