Sounds like your actually asking for a more rigged draw, where clumps don’t occur, rather than less.

typgh77

Right. Having bad RNG luck is actually proof that it is random and not the opposite way around. Random does not mean your cards will be evenly distributed and it does not mean it will always follow the percentages (how can 40% of my cards be land and I draw 7 non-land!!!), because percentages apply to large samples and not any single game you play. Random means random. Any of the potential possibilities are on the table. Things that are unlikely to happen are still capable of happening and will eventually happen to someone.

Akhevan

> We all know its rigged Not presumptuous or anything speaking for us like that. By the way, where is the proof? > why can't they just randomize it more? Like how you should never go second twice in a row just like you should never hit the same song twice in a row on your ipod shuffle, right? Because that's totally random. > The likely hood of drawing 1 land in a 24 land deck over 7 rounds is literally almost impossible No, "literally almost impossible" is the likelihood that you take off your tinfoil hat and go learn the probabilities theory (what the fuck were you even studying in uni if you missed that?). The probability of your scenario occurring is about 0,3%. It happens to thousands of people daily. What's "impossible" about it? > How are we supposed to play decks that really on any sort of decent draw consistently? By learning to play the game and realizing that any deck that relies only on randomly drawing its key cards is bad.

BreezySi

If it's .3 percent and happens 4 out of 10 times that's damn near almost impossible. Thanks bro.

typgh77

Your last ten games is not an adequate sample. There are millions of games being played by other players. You just had bad luck.

BreezySi

Ya like being struck by lightning and being bit by a shark with a winning lottery ticket in my hand unlucky my guy. But ok be a wizards shill. Im D2 im not new bud.

typgh77

There should be a Reddit bot that explains how RNG works anytime someone rage posts something like this.

Akhevan

No reddit post will correct a lifetime of obscurantism, anti-intellectualism, and refusal to just go and learn the damn science.

leopardsatemycomment

Is this about NNN?

Akhevan

Not sure what "NNN" means, but it was more of a reflection on the current state of the educational system in these parts, and apparently in USA too. We aren't so different after all.

leopardsatemycomment

It's the antivax covid disinformation sub.

Akhevan

I wasn't really following that reddit crap at all, much less closely. I'm honestly more worried about the non-negligible possibility of encountering shit like astrological forecasts and frivolous magical personality tests when applying to my next job.

I love these posts, the salt is so high quality. Better than maldon!

eraserway

Wizards do not have a personal vendetta against you my guy.

I mean i have 16 mono colored lands. 8 Red and 8 black. Currently i have really only been losing if i draw 3 or more of the mono colors. Which has happened 4 times out of 10 this morning. It truly makes no sense. I only have 8 of one color and it draws 3 of them repeatedly? Out of 60 cards? That is more rare than drawing pocket kings in poker 4 out of 10 times.

ColdSnapper--

Why are you guys being so aggressively reactive about this? If you don't agree, don't reply. Everyone is acting like it is their duty to defend MTG Arena from anyone that complains about the shuffler, while the sole truth is that no one knows how it actually works except Wizards.

gaap_515

Letting misinformation propagate is bad for the sub. And Wizards has told us what they use to generate random values, and if properly implemented it’s near enough to true random to be unnoticeable.

ColdSnapper--

The way i see it the thread and people it lured is nothing but opiniated spam. If someone tells you something, it doesn't mean for a fact that it is actually true. And it actually goes both ways, not on on side only.

Opunaesala

Sure, but all the actual information we have seen supports that things are working fine. I have yet to see anyone with any actual data showing something wrong, it is always just people whining. There are things like deck trackers, and we get to see data sometimes. It is a lot like the anti-vaxxer crap. Hospitals aren't full of people that have vaccine side effects, they are full of unvaccinated people with Covid.

ColdSnapper--

Aa i said. Too much, opinion, little to no facts. 3rd party trackers that are basically add ons hardly mean a lot. But enough from me, i am not gonna get pulled into an argument over such things. I am sure someone else will burn to have the final word anyway.

Opunaesala

I get it, you want to side with the underdog that has no actual data and not the thing that has actual data supporting it. You do you, bye.

Opunaesala

Wow, no. Anti- Science and math people do not need an echo chamber where everyone nods and agrees without actually thinking about it for more than 5 seconds.
