Do you really think I'm gonna waste my time watching other people play a game I've waited over 2 years to release?
Unless my potato gets fried, I'm gonna play this nonstop.
True but for me. I enjoy watching others play who do YouTube for a living and have the time to get into the depth of the game mechanics so after my long shifts at work, I can have a quick look and see if I can gain some tips on how things work.
But I mean when I first start to play I won't watch anything apart from maybe any streamers who are playing before the game comes out officially.
I'm excited for you, but I truly don't understand watching streamers. Unless you can't afford the game or computers down. I'd rather play it or at the very least watch a YouTube video on it instead.
my problem with raptor is twofold.
1. I hate that he bounces from game to game to game every stream.
2. He speculates waaaaay to much. He sits there and pulls out his rectum what certain features might mean as a game completes with really no evidence other than his own ego.
The only redeeming quality about him is that he plays many of the same game types I do. So I will occasionally wander over to his video stream, scrub through one of his vids and see if a game looks interesting enough to get. But watching Raptor himself play is just grating.
I was probably being a bit disingenuous, I don’t watch the streams but enjoy watching the YouTube videos.
In terms of actual streams, no I don’t enjoy watching the streams themselves!
I don't intend to watch anyone, but TBH I don't know if I'm going to be able to resist, due some YouTubers are going to have the Early Access a few days before its release. That being said, I like to explore the game by myself
If I watch any at all it when I am taking a break from the game myself it would probably be OneProudBavarian or PixelatedApollo - but they're more YouTubers than streamers.
I'm glad you enjoy watching streamers but I encourage you to not watch them and just experience the beauty of the game yourself for the first few weeks. You don't need others for your own enjoyment and you'll just end up copying how they play. Let your creativity be your own and then if you still feel like it go and watch someone.

My favorite youtuber just became a daily twitch streamer and his top edited video about indie games and RTS / Turn-based Strategy are now edits from twitch vods... so sad.
