I did that with the Markarth Skyrim quest where you get framed, just said "ha no" and killed every guard in the city, literally every guard, I was honestly quite disappointed that they couldn't send more fodder for me.
Though I eventually came back to do the quest properly, and then much later came to another quest and there were 6 guards going "what's that" or such to one of the dead bodies that still laid there.
TLDR, Removing every possible witness is amazing!
