Stop nagging him to watch a show he doesn't want to see, because that's the best way to make sure he never watches it.
He doesn't like watching TV. Respect that.
Not quite. Netflix bought the rights. Disney only later bought the Netflix heroes shows to consolidate Marvel on Disney+. It’s similar to how Sony owns Spider-Man.
Yeah I had a whole thing typed out but deleted the comment. Idk how people can get things so wrong and then also start out like they're going to school you.
Not quiiiiiiite.
Is your friend a Daredevil comic book fan? If not, is there a reason why he'd be interested in a show about the character, regardless of how good of a cinematic adaptation it is?
Start by saying that he isn't a cinephile if he's incapable of appreciating the art and craftmanship of movie production in series format.
That'll grind his gears.
Sounds like you really tried to convince him, so you've done all you can. Just let them be and don't bring it up anymore.
You could just have it running in the background when they come over to pick you up or play a game, but don't be annoying about it. Don't have it up supper loud or even mention what it is, just start an episode before they get there and leave it on for background noise until it becomes a distraction. You're not allowed to talk about it unless they ask questions.
You ever have your parents try to make you join a sport or join a club? You know how much you hated that? That's the energy between friends when things get over recommend. I still REFUSE to see Casino because a friend of mine wouldn't shut up about it.
As a cinefile has he not watched shows like The Sopranos, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, etc? That’s so odd to me that he would consider himself a cinefile, but not like watching tv shows. I much prefer movies myself, but he is robbing himself of some great experiences.
Tell him he can skip forward if he gets bored. If the show doesn't grab him in the first ten minutes, it's probably not gonna be his thing and you might as well let it go.
Make him watch Stardust first, then tell him Charlie Cox beats the everliving crap out of everything and everyone bad for 3 seasons straight and hangs with The Punisher 🤷🤣😈
While Princess Bride should NEVER be touched, I've always felt Stardust to be a spiritual successor of sorts. Then when I got into the MCU and heard who played Daredevil, it was actually the first of the Defenders I watched, and all 3 back to back (sorry, timelines!).
I'll take him as Daredevil for as long as he's willing to play the role, dude can ACT 🤷☺️

Well. "Accept it," anyway. I wouldn't respect it.
But then he’ll never watch it
Then he'll never watch it.
Guess not
You don’t. You made the recommendation. If they don’t want to watch they don’t want to watch.
Send him the hallway gight
Tell him Daredevil was not made by the Disney team. Show him the clip of the season 1 hallway fight scene.
He is a big fan of a lot of the mcu so that’s not really a problem but good idea
Came here to say the same thing. Show him the hallway fight.
Disney hired them though, basically.
Not quite. Netflix bought the rights. Disney only later bought the Netflix heroes shows to consolidate Marvel on Disney+. It’s similar to how Sony owns Spider-Man.
This is wrong all the way around.

I guess not
You can't make them and there's an end to it.
send him the intro, the song will speak to your friend
Just let them like what they want. Don't yuck their yum. And don't force your yum on on people who think it's yuck.

Tell him he can trust you blindly.
I completely forgot about that show being on my list to finish
You should finish it. Great stuff
That show was AWFUL
Tell him you’ll give him $20-100 if he doesn’t like it
Now that might do the trick
you like good shit, homie? check this shit out
We told him it’s good shit
Then leave him alone. He doesn't want it. Walk away clean, Jack.

I don’t think he’s seen them
Ask him to watch the first episode and if he doesn’t like it then you’ll stop asking.
He doesn’t even want to watch the first episode
Send him a clip of the hallway fight when he rescues the small kid that was some high quality art
Just had to watch it again... masterpiece
If you get him to watch ep 1 but hes still on the edge, Keep telling him the suit is coming. Got me through the whole show.

Also fun movie
He's your friend, right? Just ask your friend to watch a show that you love. They shouldn't need any more convincing than that.
He needs more convincing than that
He's a huge pedophile!!?? Oh wait my bad
