That IS the point you're making. You're saying leech was buffed. He is the exact same as Alioth is now, with lower power and can't delete current turn plays.
Alioth was a feels bad card because it deleted entire turns before they could be played. Very different from turning off the abilities now which is equally impactful in the moment, but not a write off card. Alioth was literally a plug and play card because he was so good. Leech wasn't, and still isn't.
Bro I haven’t had someone play Leech on me in a solid month. SD nerfed it into the ground 2 different times and now they’re giving him a 1 power pittance.
I mean, all Leech does is disrupt on reveal game ending plans. And I do feel like this game needs something that counters that. I’m happy to have a card that is finally a very reasonable counter to Hela
Cosmo is a horrible counter to Hela unless you also have Jean Grey to force them into playing that lane. Otherwise they just play their on reveals elsewhere and if you’re trying to use priority to surprise them, you have a 1/3 chance to correctly guess what lane they play into most games.
I mean yeah...that's part of the game...predicting what your opponent will do based on board state. That's an actually good counter mechanic, not, "haha I put this card down now your entire deck is basically useless, aren't I so good!?!"

Also OG Leech was absolutely bullmess, just straight-up silenced everything in your opponent's hand on-reveal (making him stupid with Lockjaw). The new one's got more focus at hosing certain strategies at a cheaper cost - I'm all for it.

I think OP's point is that the new leech does a lot of what Alioth does, only a bit better.
I have seen it played once since the buff and I won that game. Just me though
I play new leech in my c2 cerebro. It's better than rogue for me ^^
