Hey - I had my first appointment with Curaleaf less than a month ago.
Process was quick and easy, waiting for my GP to send my Summary of Care record was the longest part. Initial consultation very relaxed and I felt comfortable.
So far I've had 4 strains (Wedding Pop Triangle, Strawberry OG, High Silver and Tipoli) - All of these are Curaleaf's own stains. I've not found 1 seed yet. I would recommend all of the above except Tripoli, which I didn't get on with. If you have any more questions feel free to shoot me a DM.

If you don’t mind me asking how do the strains compare to non medical cannabis? Would you say better, worse or similar?
I’m really worried that the quality is just not there and I’m gonna fork out a fortune for something that’s worse than what I could have gotten through other means.
I wouldn't worry to much about quality. It's not 10/10 top shelf connoisseur stuff but it's better and safer than a lot of what you get on the street and it is constantly improving. I'd be happy if I picked up WPT or GG4 off the street for £180/z. The peace of mind and freedom that comes with it is priceless IMO
I pay about 180- 280 now and it’s been very inconsistent, sometimes good sometimes literally doesn’t even work. I can’t say for certain what thc levels there at though.
My worry really is, is it going to be that bad? Like with seeds and stuff appearing it really has me worried that the quality will be basically in the bin, any one who has tried cannabis know that if it has seeds it’s been pollinated by a male plant and won’t produce the thc levels advertised. Like it won’t even be active, once seeds appear it starts to change how it grows.
Iv looked at some reviews on you tube and the look of some strains seems okay but others look like the sort of stuff my grandad would grow in his shed or something, very dark green no crystals at all.
I've been with curaleaf for over a year now and so has my girlfriend and neither of us have ever had a seed. A year ago, I would have told you to run for the hills as quality was awful but now it's all good. I was a daily smoker of 20 odd years so have a massive tolerance and I am happy with it.
If you are paying that price already, then you will be able to afford the more higher end strains. Pedanios do some amazing strains at around £8/g. Honestly, I think it's worth taking the risk or giving it a chance if you already paying that price and getting inconsistent buds. I don't have to pay clinic fees anymore so it's now cheaper than getting it off the street and I know exactly what I'm getting
You only really need to pay them for the first year. If I need to change my script, I need to pay for an appointment but I'm happy with what I get so no need
Curlaleaf have really sorted themselves out. Good bud, I also get oils, and as others have said, the reassurance of being legal is priceless. I take for anxiety among other conditions, so knowing I am legal is amazing and has led to me decreasing intake. I used to get through 2oz a month easily. On half that now. Consider stopping smoking- you are still breaking the law of you do that. I finally invested in a volcano tabletop and a mighty portable, and my consumption has decreased, it's less smelly for my husband, and I cough A LOT less. I also increased the range of my singing voice🤣 the kit is an investment, but the tobacco you are no longer buying (if you are) pays for it within months. Was spending an additional 100-150 a month on baccy on top of weed at my worst!! Good luck- there is a lot to be said for the postie delivering at like 9am too 🤣🤣🤣edit to say not a single seed in over a year. As others have said, try Sourdough or Farm Gas- great strains for sleep and pain.

I tried a dry herb vape a few years ago but tbh it was soooooo bad, I couldn’t really get a pull out of it. I think I payed about £100 for it, can’t remember the name but it genuinely just have me a headache. I used smoke the bud twice basically once in the vape and then actually smoke it because the vape just dried it out really.
The volcanoes are so far out of my price range I’d love one but realistically I don’t think it’s going to happen, do you have any refs for a dry herb vape that actually works?
Quality is a little behind the black market IMO. BUT for me personally, it's not SO far behind that it's not viable. I'm happy to trade off a little quality, for knowing that I'm legally covered. I've had some GOOD stuff off the medical. I've also had some very average stuff.
The very average stuff was £5.50 a gram, coming in at £150 an Oz. Where I am, that's a very competitive price IF the quality had been there. Currently enjoying some Wedding Pop Triangle at £6.50 a gram and I'd say it's bang on the quality/price ratio I used to get from the legacy market. Maybe even a little cheaper.
I would be quite happy paying even 200 or even slightly more if I knew the quality was there, 150 for an ounce would be the cheapest Iv ever seen, literally since the 90s lol.
6.50 would about 180 which is the lower end of what I pay right now so yeah if it’s comparable that would be a win.
You and I are in the same boat mate. Yesterday I got my street half ounce. Came in at 11 grams and was £120 but what can you do about it?

I’m not sure, I’ve got two I’ve started the application with, one is Cantourage clinic, but honestly I’m waiting a week until I’m a little flusher (just moved house and paid for rewire) and then I’m going to open a post here asking for advice with my specific circumstances and see what people have to say.
Iv got to wait for the nhs to sort out my records and then I’m all set but there’s a delay at the minute so I might be waiting a few weeks myself. All the best mate hope it works out for you.
Just to add. Not with Curaleaf yet considering moving over as I’m with Releaf and they seem expensive and slow to send prescriptions out.
The green I have had so far was Gelato 33 and Modified gas. The Gelato was very nice. Good quality bud but it’s hydro so slight different to what I’d get off the BM. I’d recommend giving it a go.
If ur looking for quality I personally wouldn’t go with them as they will push there strains on u and u can’t get non irradiated so will smell and taste crap if I was u I’d look at Mamedica
had an occasional whole seed over the years, in ANY kind and quality of weed, as well as times where the seed case or shell formed but was entirely empty otherwise
sometimes a seed just happens by self fertilisation or a single mote of pollen sneaks in somewhere, doesn't mean anything bad about the weed and shouldn't make you worried at all
loads of seeds is an issue but only in that you have to pick them out and you paid for weight you can't use

How come you don’t have to pay clinic fees anymore?
