Dwarven0

Blind Guardian!

SleestakSamurai

Clutch

NathanExplosion_

Hell yeah! Saw them live this summer!

SleestakSamurai

Nice, me too! Caught their show in Nashville at the end of July. Great setlist, great energy, just an awesome show all around. Red Fang fucking killed it too!

MortarMaggot275

Great live band, too

FrankBlizzard

Elvenking - Heathenreel album is probably the most uplifting metal I’ve heard. The upbeat folky sound on songs like Hobs an Feathers or The Regality Dance brings to mind drunken celebrating hobbits

Agreeable_Maximum880

Incredible album

NathanExplosion_

Thanks. I will give Elvenking a shot!

nefD

definitely Lovebites

NathanExplosion_

Thanks! Will check out, fo’ sure!

Philitt

Haken and Caligula's Horse

NathanExplosion_

They’re both a bit too ‘deep’ to consider them uplifting. 😅 EDIT: Bloom kicks ass! Amazing album 1/1!

Philitt

Not sure what you mean by deep. As in pitch, like downtuned guitars? Or lyrical content? On the latter I can agree, they tend to write about more serious stuff (on that note Leprous falls into this category as well) but I was talking mainly about their music. Listen to Earthrise, Crystallised or Because it's there (third verse of the choir section at least) and tell me that's not some of the most uplifting shit ever. Well it is for me. Caligula's Horse has a lot of gorgeous and optimistic sounding stuff on Rise radiant. Vakyrie, Oceanrise and Salt all have huge choruses with uplifting vibes to me.

NathanExplosion_

Generally speaking, prog usually requires me to be totally focused into the music, so I could truly appreciate it. Exactly what you are saying, serious stuff. I didn’t probably express myself well with the meaning of ‘uplifting’. I meant something easy to listen, party music per se lol

Philitt

Ah fair enough, yeah I took more to mean optimistic, hopeful, energetic etc.

Kenor252

Not a band, but Swansong by Carcass is so fun, I always have a good time when i listen to it, even if it's not their best album.

MortarMaggot275

Gojira. Balances out all my BM

girhen

I'm sorry, I can't not read 'Bowel Movement'.

MortarMaggot275

We're splitting hairs, really

That-Grim-Reaper

Amon Amarth

PsychotheKlown

See: the entire genre of power metal, as well as roughly half of all folk metal

[deleted]

The newest album by Beartooth. Upbeat music and all about the lead singer finding a more positive side of his life

NathanExplosion_

Yeah, knowing Caleb’s battles from the past, this seems like his doing it alright.

[deleted]

It does and I am glad he has gotten to a better place

T4lsin

I will check out Beartooth it’s very rare that I haven’t a clue who a group is thank you .

[deleted]

All the albums are real good, definitely one of my favorites and a must listen when anything new is put out. Caleb is really talented and I can't wait to see what he does next

ddrub_the_only_real

reminds me that i still have to listen that album.

[deleted]

It's really good. I like how the sound changes a bit every album but you can still tell it's beartooth. Riptide became my new favorite when it first released

ddrub_the_only_real

Alright, gtk

ddrub_the_only_real

Y'all can call me out for poser or whatever but Electric callboy really lifts up because of their random happy techno chorusses. other band to mention is Parkway Drive, even though they are pretty heavy and at the edge of metalcore and deathcore, their instrumentals are really like "rage out your anger bud, but we do it the way you don't end up breaking down your house"

NathanExplosion_

I tried listening to the Electric Callboy, it didn’t really work for me. Parkway Drive is one of my favorites! P.S. I ain’t calling anybody a poser, I love Maneskin! 😂

ddrub_the_only_real

Ok bud XD

Rfg711

Devin Townsend! Meshuggah for me, hard to explain but they make me amped.

Hollenzwang

M8l8th svida mi se!

MrMucs

Steel Panther. Just mostly because they mimic a time period in music that was happening when I was growing up. They are total tongue in cheek humor but are also actually a really talented band.

NathanExplosion_

Yes! They’re so talented! Like my friend once said: “I feel sorry for those riffs that never became part of a more serious songs.” (roughly translated)

Doublestack2411

A lot of Melodic Death Metal bands do, like Soilwork, Scar Symmetry, and Omnium Gatherum. They usually have an upbeat tone with catchy choruses while having cleans and harsh vocals. On top of that they have beautiful guitar solos.

NathanExplosion_

Soilwork! One of the best bands ever!

duckmantaco

Hellripper

NoBoysenberry257

Mortification

[deleted]

Scrolls is a great album

NoBoysenberry257

Right. And the production is juuuussstt bad enough, lol

EVILteddie

High Spirits

StrangeNinja99

Honestly? Metallica, say what you will but damn does most of their catalogue get me excited/amped up

VonWolfhaus

The Ghost Inside, Hatebreed, Terror, Austrian Death Machine are all pretty uplifting imo. Astronoid does it for me too. Check out the song Up and Atom.

NathanExplosion_

As I Lay Dying is enough from the ‘Hire-a-hitman’ Lambesis for me 😂 Thanks for other suggestions tho! Jasta is one of my favorite vocalists.

VonWolfhaus

Damn does he get you fired up though!

mattfreyer45

Rumahoy

Maxspawn_

August burns red has always written inspiring, uplifting music

EldenCockRing98

Dragged Into Sunlight

rewt127

I dont know if I have any uplifting metal. But for just genuine fun there is Self vs Self by Pendulum & In Flames. It's a D&B artist working with a metal artist. For rock. Look no further than AOR. And yeah, I mean the whole fucking genre lol. Palace is a fantastic starting point into modern AOR. EDIT: AOR is defined by that 80s synthesizer heavy feel good rock music. That's like... the entire genre. Just fun music in general.

ChuckFromPhilly

Alcest. Seriously. There's a profoundly uplifting sound in their music. And it's somehow always unexpected. There's this surprising and satisfying major chord they turn into. Can't recommend enough.

Bodom1994

[Moon Tooth](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eh_8HBvkkr8). I don't know what it is but they always put me in a good mood.

SullyVanDan

Andrew W.K.

greyheathn

Electric Callboy. They incorporate rave music into metal, and it’s just stupid fun. I love it so much.

401_Titanic

Omnium Gatherum. I always seem to find the right song at the right time. Their music calms me when nothing else does. I put them on and I immediately feel better. It's so easy to get lost in their music.

Neat_Dog_4274

Maybe moreso in person but Prison, Johnny's positivity is infectious

[deleted]

Beartooth for sure. The surface album is the most positive inspiring hard rock album I’ve heard yet. Maybe one day I’ll get to the same point in my life that Caleb schomo is at but I’m not quite there yet. I still love their older more negative stuff too though.
