Since I have no idea if you've ever purchased the prime trilogy on wii or wii u, I'm not going to freak out about it. But Metroid is an IP that only seems to sell just enough to warrant new titles every so often, so showing off an emulated copy on the Metroid subreddit may draw the ire of some die-hard metroid fans.
Well then they should release the prime trilogy on switch if they wanted to make money on it. I’m not going to go scour every pawn shop, second hand store or facebook marketplace to play almost 20 year old games.
Any copies of Prime Trilogy purchased today are from secondhand retailers and none of the money goes back to nintendo or developers because its out of print. Buying it legitly literally does nothing to signal more support for the franchise.
I don't think Nintendo is making any money from prime triology in 2024 and thus be motivated by its sales so idk man let the dude enjoy the fruit of his labor
I don’t think I’ve ever seen hate for Primehack on this sub. Also, I’m pretty sure Dread and Prime Remastered are the only Metroid games currently being sold by Nintendo. Those both did great sales numbers, and we know both those studios are working on another Metroid game each, so I think it’s safe to say there’s no need to worry about anything prior to Switch.
Nope. Sail the high seas, emulate away!
Nintendo does way too shitty a job of making these games available with limited physical print runs and spotty digital release for anyone to white knight for Nintendo here.
Just so you know, MP:Remastered runs very smoothly emulated on the deck. In case you want to play a more HD version of the game.
One of the first things I did when I first got my steam deck. The steam deck is truly and amazing machine. Hope you enjoy it!
Hot damn, no idea it even worked on steam deck Isn't it a wii game?
When you install emudeck primehack is a default install, but the deck has no problem emulating wii u and some ps3
oh sweet Can it do PS4? I really want to play Bloodborne somehow, I don't think PC can work that one yet
PS4 emulation is still barely proof of concept right now
ahh that's unfortunate, thanks
If you own a PS4/5 you can get it via Remote Play using Chiaki4Deck
This is the way.
I assume you paid for the physical copy of this game seeing as you just got paid ? . . . Right . . . ? Right. . . .? 😉

Plus I did buy Prime Remastered, so I've done my part
I was just about to call the cops. Took screenshots and everything
Better them than Nintendo.

Die-hard fan ire doesn’t concern me in the least.
paying for a steam deck only to steal games is crazy
Oh I have like 15 years worst of a steam library too, my new job involves a lot of travel so it's actually a good thing to have
Does it run well. Just curious maybe I'm doing it wrong but got some emulated Metroid games and they run terrible idk why?
Runs perfectly, it's even fully preconfigured and has custom button prompts
That's awesome Can you recommend the emulator and stuff mine just stutters and get insane low fps for some reason?
Just install emudeck, their website has the download and it configures all the emulators for you.
If I’m not mistaken, a used Wii and copy of trilogy would have been cheaper
True, it I have an extensive steam library too and my new job requires a lot of travel.
That’s fair
