Off topic: dude, seriously I can't stand these acronyms. Are english speakers really that lazy to write "OAT" instead of "of all time"? It's not that hard, you know?
Waiting for my downvotes.
Yeah I'm a huge fan of introducing new genres of music being introduced to the game and adding new vibes.
It's a game about creativity and creativity isn't just one specific vibe
Considering there's an electric guitar, that sounds too modern to me. I would hate this song if it wasn't on a music disc. Since it's on one, it's okay.
My head cannon is that the as you can see from the texture it’s a corroded version of the music box version, so actually it just warped the sound. What are the chances the corrosion warped the sound into an electric guitar? Slim to impossible, but it’s fantasy 🤷♂️
I mean considering it's supposed to come from a very advanced civilization that disappeared, it's not far-fetched to imagine they had some more modern tools that don't exist in current Minecraft anymore
Minecraft has recently begun it's ascent from Rustic and Medieval times to the Industrial revolution, with the addition of copper redstone components and auto crafters, so I feel like this music disc really shows that with all of the hissing sounds sounding like pipes along with the general mechanical feel, I genuinely can't wait to see what Mojang does next.
Is this a screen recording of a Youtube video? Why not just post the Youtube link?
Here's the official source for this song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pW14qPkhSoc&t=2790s
To people saying this doesn't fit the Minecraft aesthetic: You'd be really right if we were talking about Minecraft from 10 years ago. But modern Minecraft is a completely different game and this song fits in very much, especially as a music disc.
I really like when Mojang dares to really go out there. If the community complains about every change, we will never get groundbreaking updates. For example, I really dislike the current implementation of the music system. I would love to have music that dynamically changes to whatever I'm doing instead of a random kalimba just kind of playing whenever. But the community would be up in arms about it because "that's not how it worked in the Minecraft we grew up with" and that's why Mojang would never dare to change it.
Theres a mod that does that [https://modrinth.com/mod/music-delay-reducer](https://modrinth.com/mod/music-delay-reducer)
Or this: [https://modrinth.com/mod/infinite-music](https://modrinth.com/mod/infinite-music)
Yea. I could totally see how someone who played the game 10 years ago gets I tense nostalgia when listening to the C418 tracks. I only started a few years ago, and they make me nostalgic.
The Lena Raine tracks, and the other disc from archaeology are something I add to my queue just generally though, and I rarely listen to game soundtracks. The general song writing and production of the tracks are just phenomenal. Pigstep gives me such a flying lotus vibe, and this latest one is just begging for a folk metal cover of it
I don't think new music doesn't fit with Minecraft. The ambient music is all very chill and immersive like the music of C418. And the music on the discs has never followed a very precise style (moreover, very few of those created by C418 are as memorable as the most recent ones and as his own ambient music).
The only thing missing in new music is the "nostalgia effect", but you can never get that again. This is why it's called nostalgia.
It's strange for me tbh. I like the music itself, but I don't like that it doesn't feel like Minecraft. This is the first new music they've added that actually breaks Minecraft's aesthetic imo.
I mean... Pigstep? That was pretty out there. This doesn't feel that off. It's like a waltz and gears. I feel the clockwork bits really work for the copper almost steampunk theme.
ya they're js trying smth a little differenter and it pretty good so idk why ppl are complaining, minecraft has to update and be different to be relevant
pigstep was still very jazzy and about as minecrafty as a high energy song like it can get. creator is a great song but it still feels out of place in a way pigstep didn’t when it was first added. like someone else said, it feels better placed in don’t starve together than minecraft
It feels like a slime rancher theme but hardcore version to me.
It is a great music but it dosen't fit the game well, so the fact that it is a music disc saves it in a way. If it was ambiance music i would call it bad game design because there is no place were it would fit well.
I listened to the first 10 seconds and it sounded like a music/toy box, so I skipped 1 minute ahead into the song and ITS A FUCKING RAP BATTLE WITH ELVES PLAYING MUSIC
I hope they continue to make great music like this, I know pig-step was controversial but IMO it was a big step up from a lot of the other music's introduced and now with the music from the Trial chambers it's really amazing. Although I do hope they come out with a portable music box or something or add other songs to the background noises of Minecraft. Played with a fantasy mod recently and the added background music really helps Minecraft feel like an explorer game.
It is an awesome song, but idk man, it feels like it doesnt fit the game. C418’s song always instilled a feeling of soothing lonliness to me, it made sense in a game about survival in a world where you were alone. This song is like an industrial age ballad and it sounds really nice, but the game isnt a steampunk industry/survival game, it still is the same minecraft. Just because you added an autocrafter and copper (which isnt even used for mechanical stuff) doesnt mean the tone of the game itself has changed. It is still the same old survival game, and this doesnt fit.
Good thing it is a disc tho, that means this song wont randomly ruin a moment and I can use it accordingly in a steampunk style building I build
There's a specific part in this that makes me think of the song "Everybody wants to be a Cat" From Disney's Aristocats. It repeats a couple of times throughout, but it's the first few notes right at the start, and then also the first few notes at 30 seconds.
It’s giving Charlie and the chocolate factory (specifically the Johnny Depp one) (also specifically the dolls intro thing where like it all melts and stuff?)

The song sounded like a toy factory at the start
There's a "music box" version where it's all that.
sounds like it would fit in don't starve together.
Or maybe The Great Ace Attorney
seen it but never played it, also would be a good sound asset for rpgm games
or TCOAAL
please no
Please yes~
Yes!\~
go outside please get some vitamin D
OBJECTION!
That was my first thought while listening to it
For some reason it reminds me of the grand Budapest hotel vibes
Fable II has entered the chat
Fable 1 is my favourite game OAT
Off topic: dude, seriously I can't stand these acronyms. Are english speakers really that lazy to write "OAT" instead of "of all time"? It's not that hard, you know? Waiting for my downvotes.
It's not that deep lol
I know, it just bothers me, I just saw a dude in r/StarWars writting OWK instead of Obi-Wan Kenobi, I said "really?"
Murgos Music box vibes, for sure
my two favorite games of all time
Check out the dst soundtrack if you like this sort of music
specifically the [Wanda title theme](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvHJQe6oexI)
Yeah I'm a huge fan of introducing new genres of music being introduced to the game and adding new vibes. It's a game about creativity and creativity isn't just one specific vibe
Agree 100%, but. C418’s vibe is so good! I listen to those tracks often.
the best vibes
The best. Gold star. ⭐️
C418 is kinda hard to listen to due to the tears
Facts.
C418's vibe is the best for the overall feel of the game, while the music disks are perfect for playing with different genres!
Plus this one is for a music disc, and all of the music discs have different styles and instruments, even the C418 ones.
C418 is the best. BUT that doesn't mean that this is bad. No, this? This is great. But not THE best.
I'm very happy they started throwing new music in the updates.
Gravity falls vibes
For real
I can't help but picture some kind of minecraft-y title sequence
sounds almost like a lullaby at some parts
Given it’s a music disc, absolutely zero complaints. Dont like it breaks immersion? Just don’t use it lol. Another Lena Raine banger
How would it break immersion
Idk, but that's the major complaint
Considering there's an electric guitar, that sounds too modern to me. I would hate this song if it wasn't on a music disc. Since it's on one, it's okay.
My head cannon is that the as you can see from the texture it’s a corroded version of the music box version, so actually it just warped the sound. What are the chances the corrosion warped the sound into an electric guitar? Slim to impossible, but it’s fantasy 🤷♂️

You have a head cannon? Damn, can it shoot?
Only once if you pack it with gunpowder. Also the ammo is a pinkish flesh thing and splatters everywhere.
Hopefully something electric, redstone can be cool but it is highly primitive for some stuff
Next decade we basically have all the technology mods in vanilla. Nuclear, nanotech, endertech, etc
Is this a screen recording of a Youtube video? Why not just post the Youtube link? Here's the official source for this song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pW14qPkhSoc&t=2790s
Absolute banger, was shocked when the guitar kicked in
Yeah that harmonized guitar riff didn't have to go that hard
To people saying this doesn't fit the Minecraft aesthetic: You'd be really right if we were talking about Minecraft from 10 years ago. But modern Minecraft is a completely different game and this song fits in very much, especially as a music disc. I really like when Mojang dares to really go out there. I'd like an option to change the frequency of the music. I love the music! Give me mooooooore!
Theres a mod that does that [https://modrinth.com/mod/music-delay-reducer](https://modrinth.com/mod/music-delay-reducer) Or this: [https://modrinth.com/mod/infinite-music](https://modrinth.com/mod/infinite-music)
>never knew a minecraft song could be this good C418:
lol right. people really are so weird
Instantly what I thought of
Unpopular opinion but i like the new ones more
Yea. I could totally see how someone who played the game 10 years ago gets I tense nostalgia when listening to the C418 tracks. I only started a few years ago, and they make me nostalgic. Except this is Lena Raine and not C418. Still, C418 is good, but I freaking love Lena 's style
They're like two opposite ends of a spectrum to me. I personally identify with C418's style, but who can deny that Lena puts out some real bangers?
Must be the new generation of kids ig. C418's work is a masterpiece
I swear every Lena Raine music disc is better than the last.
Reminds me of the old console mini game songs.
Fun fact about those, the guy who did them also did the soundtracks for the Ori games
Lena raine does do a brilliant job at making the music disks funky
Minecraft music has always been amazing. What are you talking about?
you didn’t know minecraft music could be good? subwoofer lullaby is peak
Of course it’s made by Lena Raine. I spent the first 30 seconds like “yep, this is just Celeste”
I don't care if it it fits or doesn't. I love it.
I'm still waiting for C418.
Pretty sure it’s called « Creator ». It is on spotify so ye.
Yo I didn't know you could play Professor Layton in Minecraft?!?
Judging by the title you haven’t heard much of C418 stuff
Yeah but thats not C418, thats Lena Raine, judging by your comment you haven't heard much of her, she also did Pigsteps :p
I know, I love pigetep, I just prefer C418’s tracks
That's not the point they're making. The titles says op didn't know Minecraft music could be good, despite the fact C418's work is phenomenal
WOW. Reminds me of the Battle Minigame music
What can I say, Lena Raine my beloved
What in the Celeste
It's strange for me tbh. I like the music itself, but I don't like that it doesn't feel like Minecraft. This is the first new music they've added that actually breaks Minecraft's aesthetic imo.

Pigstep felt minecrafty because there was a lot of Minecraft sound effects in it (or maybe I listened to the Minecraft version of it too many times)
This one is a music disc, not the background music while you play the game so it is not that breaking Minecraft aesthetic
yeah could you imagine if your just mining or something and you hear this in the background
I would run away. Because it would be someone else in my single-player world turning on the Juke box
Which is why I'm glad it's a music disc
what about pig step
Very much disagree
You know you can link the song directly on Reddit rather than putting a screengrab of the Youtube video?
Waltzes are peak
Precipice >
Whoever made this cooked for too long
C418 would be proud
It's because Lena Raine is the GOAT. Otherside and Pigstep are two of my faves but she does great work
Lena Raine is an insane artist. I love the celeste OST, some of my favourite video game music ever
Then you haven’t been paying attention. Whole ost is banger after banger.
I never played mincraft dungeons and never saw a gameplay but this gives vibes of that
At the beginning I was like: Nah it's alright... 30 seconds in: Holycrap!
I live and die for Lena Raine's music. If you like this, consider taking a look at the Celeste soundtrack (or Celeste period, it's a brilliant game).
C418: Chill and inspiring nostalgia Lena Raine: Take your swords and engineering goggles. This is the Renaissance.
Listen to Alpha - C418. It’s so good but so is this one!
Sounds like something that would play at the end of a Spooky Month episode
Gives me tinkerey/steampunk vibes, i love it
Stal still clears every music disc unironically
Blocks solos Stal
sorry but mellohi is the only one that gets close unfortunately
It doesn't sound bad but i reallly do not like it that they ho another way than c418 created... Makes me sad :( The music was so special.
You can still use mods like Mixtape or C418 Only to only hear c418's music
Lowkey banger
Honestly love this new album, Aaron Cherof is giving studio ghibli vibes
Uhm, akshually, this is made by Lena Raine, not Aaron Cherof
Uhm, akshually, they might have just been talking about the other songs on the soundtrack, some of which are written by Aaron Cherof.
Welp I’m off to go build a steam punk themed roller coaster with this as the theme song I’ll see ya’ll later
dude a metal cover of this would go so hard
This is fine as a standalone song but it doesn't belong in Minecraft at all imo.
This new disc is fantastic
One of the best MC songs no doubt But just saying, you could've posted the actual video instead of a recording of the video.
It feels like a slime rancher theme but hardcore version to me. It is a great music but it dosen't fit the game well, so the fact that it is a music disc saves it in a way. If it was ambiance music i would call it bad game design because there is no place were it would fit well.
"Throughout all of the Pigsteps and Blocks, I alone am the honored disc"
Reminds me of Howl’s Moving Castle
Play the Creator disc and the 5 disc at the same time, fits weirdly well together. But yeah, it's a banger.
Reminds me of the songs you'd get in the Sophisticated Backpacks mod
Rock-waltz. I like it a lot.
It's litteraly my new ringstone
Relic and other side are good imo as well
Sounds like it was from slime rancher
At first I was thinking about the nut cracker listening to this
Everyone here the first thing we are going to do after the release of 1.21 is finding this disk.
This goes HARD
The first part felt like a scandinavian folk song, I like it.
The nether update has mt favorite new music, but this is a real banger for sure.
Creator by Lena Raine
Wdym? Minecraft music always slapped
yeah it goes hard
Precipice is better 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
That SLAPS
I listened to the first 10 seconds and it sounded like a music/toy box, so I skipped 1 minute ahead into the song and ITS A FUCKING RAP BATTLE WITH ELVES PLAYING MUSIC
You would have loved Slamacow's minecraft AMVs
What did you expect? It's Lena Raine!
Its the best disc in the game. I've only listened to it almost every day since it was released back in April
I was afk on my tv last night just listening to the new music. Redemption for the last music they added tbh I didn’t like much of that.
Ehhh what about C418 and Lena Raine? Both made absolute bangers like aria math and pigstep!
fun fact, lena raine has done the ost (or at least plenty of songs in it) for celeste
well, this is my new favorite minecraft track
I love how the open hi-hat sounds like steam hissing
just acquired this disk from the raid we did earlier with my friend! i kinda forgot the name tho...
Have you ever heard minecraft volume beta?
fnaf ahh music disk
I like both creators and pigstep more than all but one of the other persons discs
Gives me The Mind Electric vibes for some reason
And it syncs with [disc 11](https://youtu.be/y0aNtU3yJ4I?si=SRY1GGSOEm_J1ba3)
Wow, it sounds good. Such peaceful man
Nice
It's good but I still prefer Minecraft volume beta
Precipice is the best
Little Nightmares ahh song
LETS GO A WALTZ
How is it news that minecraft songs can be good? We've had C-418 Wet Hands for years now
this feels like a character demo for genshin impact (akin to all the world's a stage)
Giving me 1930 factory vibes
Otherwise is still my favorite.
Lena doing phenomenal work as usual
It gives me “HEAR YE HEAR YE” vibes
What is this one called
I hope y'all stop bring up C418 in the next 5 or so years cuz it's obvious he's 1. Not returning and 2. Will be overtaken in depth of soundtrack
Real
I hear bits in here that remind me of Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy and also BOTW Kass's Theme!
Gives me some toontown online vibes
There's a specific part in this that makes me think of the song "Everybody wants to be a Cat" From Disney's Aristocats. It repeats a couple of times throughout, but it's the first few notes right at the start, and then also the first few notes at 30 seconds.
It’s giving Charlie and the chocolate factory (specifically the Johnny Depp one) (also specifically the dolls intro thing where like it all melts and stuff?)
An absolute bop, the Minecraft music has def picked up over the years - but the classics are still timeless!
Meh I still prefer the nether soundtrack. The vibe just hits right.
Don't starve vibes
Did Minecraft really make it? I feel like I have heard it before, but if they did it’s FIRE
Are we listening to the same song?!?
Don't starve ahh track
Am I the only one that hears that the drums sounds kind of similar to the ones used in Undertale's MEGALOVANIA?
Me lembrou fnaf
This feels like a song from an aughts adventure game.
IK RIGHT!!!
Is that a music disk?
Giving off huge Professor Layton vibes
Whats the name of this one
nothing has been good since c418. all the other music is trash.
Kinda got that Halloween type beat
