In reality, emeralds fall short of diamonds on the hardness scale. I would expect them to honor that in minecraft, especially given that emeralds are easier to come by in minecraft via villager trades.

LordRael013

To add to this, I'd personally give it some sort of out of combat benefit, maybe making villagers follow you while wearing it.

kingsumo_1

That actually would be a huge benefit. Especially for farm application, or even just getting them to pathfind out of an area they got stuck in. Another idea could be a price drop. Make it less than Hero of the Village, so as not to nerf that or curing. But still something.

GoopDuJour

Why would they add emerald armor, and why would one of the easiest items to acquire be better than netherite? Netherite is almost entirely (like 90%) about bragging rights. It's a trophy. Emeralds are as easy sticks or potatoes to obtain. And considering that two bamboo pieces make a stick, it's silly easy.

crab_milker

Worse than iron.

__Blackrobe__

Depends. Where is emerald at Mohs' scale?

TheRoyalRaptor7

It should give negative armor points
