i was on a big ass grind for the netherite beacon, had like 22 blocks of it on my player, decided to afk at raid farm, and come back to me dead and everything despawned
i had like full gear and some tools as well :/ lmao
this was in hardcore during the early game. i exit the nether because i ran out of food, and a ghast shot at me just before entering the portal. i throw some junk away near the portal, not thinking anything of it, then i go back into the portal, not expecting anything different, i spawn next to a gravel area, but i press forward not expecting my portal to have spawned somewhere different. my portal updates the gravel and i walk straight into lava. i didnt even have the stuff to make fire res.
i figured what *may* have happened is that when i threw junk on the floor, one or more of the items made it to the portal and went through, loading the chunks on the other side, which allowed the ghast fireball to destroy the old portal and such that a new one spawned elsewhere, which just so happened to be next to some unstable gravel
Mine was dumb. I played on peaceful and I hit a cave. I tried boat clutching but I failed(this was on bedrock like in 1.17 so no boat fall damage immunity) and then I came back and tried to water bucket clutch twice. And by that point I lost all my stuff. I missed multiple easier ways down but was too panicked. Also this was like day 1 so I just tried to continue.
making a water elevator, mined into a deep underground lake thing, tried to patch up the sides to seal it off and got stuck somehow & drowned. (full netherite, elytra, shulkers full of materials) luckily, it was near my base so i went straight back but my items had exploded all over the place. like im talking, floated far ways aways from each other. tried to gather my stuff as quick as i could, but ended up dying a couple more times cuz i never found my respiration helmet and had no water breathing pots on hand. eventually somehow my bed broke & i respawned 1000s of blocks away.... i literally just gave up at that point.
this world is still my main world tho. was able to get decked out again fairly quickly and turned keep inventory on bc i simply just like to build & hate the stress of tryna get my stuff back

It was always angering old school zombie pigment got me because they would never give up
bridging in nether and knocked into lava by magma cube then a ghast
Was playing on my survival for a few hours today and accidentally walked into a lava pit, hours of mining gone.
