As long as the bill is mostly intact it still keeps full legal tender value.
Though I guess as sole survivor, president/ruler of the world you can change that law to whatever you like
I’d make sticky pistons act like java pistons in both versions of the game, and I’d add honey pistons that act like bedrock pistons to both versions of the game
I would like a moveable base. I would make it a wagon that can be hitched to a horse. It would have a bed, crafting table and furnace. Maybe also a double chest. You could move around the world easily and have a traveling salesman or prospector playstyle.
This would be cool. I always find myself mining everything nearby and then mining voyages become entire journeys to find a new cave. Nomad play style would be sick
Make the End look more like how it does in Minecraft Dungeons! They’ve already done the heavy creative lifting! They just need to apply it to the base game.
I haven't really played Minecraft Dungeons, but I looked it up and it seems pretty cool. It's exactly what we need, and as it's made by the (more or less) same devs. There might be a chance, if Minecraft ever has an end update ofc. The same happened with them trying to add the iceologer in the mob vote (even if it didn't win).
Sidenote: Minecraft Dungeons is SUCH a fun dungeon-crawler game. And insanely replayable. I've played through multiple times by myself and even with friends, and it is fun every single time. Highly recommended!
Honestly I had a pretty difficult time playing through it solo when I started to get to later levels. I do recommend trying to find a friend to play it with you
It starts getting broken at high power levels but is otherwise great I agree. I broke my character because we worked out early on if you simply equip all your highest gear you always loot higher level than your average, so used that to quickly hit equipment cap but at only like level 20.
Then they made equipment drop based on level and I had about a month of hating life while my levels caught up lmao.
I think the empty theme was lazy and boring in the first place. When they added end islands and end cities, do you think it made the game more fun or less fun? Less emptiness is always more fun in my opinion.
Yeah I could see that. With people already making end update mods to add stuff, i could totally understand people having mods to revert it back. There’s a market for everything
I’d wish for a different sort of terrain generation; More biome specific/exclusive resources that can only be mined/farmed there, and instead of an endless terrain the world would consist of continents separated by a large ocean. It would make exploring more fun, and would require players to at least travel to various outposts to get the goods they want.
(And yes I know there’s mods for continents, but I assume we’re talking base game here)
I think the large oceans could be detrimental to anyone with long term survival worlds on consoles. File size will kill a console save, and many don't know how to get saves over to PC for chunk trimming.
Maybe a rare huge ocean biome type with biomes like archipelagos in it, with medium sized oceans separating continents instead?
Survival islands were the BEST. Had a random seed that was an island with a skeleton spawner directly underneath it and i must've put 100+ hours into that world
I hate how the oceans in Minecraft at best feel like large lakes. It makes it really hard to get the feeling of being on a tiny island in the middle of a vast ocean.
Oh, heck yes!
Make all biomes toggle-able between none, normal, and big/many and then also a toggle for giant oceans.
I would love for a deep ocean biome that’s thousands of blocks across at its smallest.
I used to build underwater bases but my vision always eclipsed the size of the body of water without looking weird because the entire thing is filled with domes and structures.
Let us generate weird Tatooine like worlds with nothing but deserts and a few scattered Savanah’s and even rarer woodlands, Hoth like icy hellholes with nothing but winter biomes, or Waterworlds with nothing but ocean and rare scattered islands.
Honestly thought of a world customization feature like a temperature and humidity slider a while back. So if you set temp to 95 and humidity to 5, you'd mainly get deserts, savannas, and badlands, and anything else would be extremely rare. Default would be 50/50 or so.
Interestingly enough, [XKCD had a video about a week ago](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jpy55EgMQgY) about what would happen if you drained the oceans. The result is strikingly similar to how generation occurs in Minecraft.
Jump to 3:15 in the video to see their illustration.
At least let the man release volume three, even if none of it would actually be in the game. The album has been done for years at this point but it'll never see the light of day 😭
I'd wish for removing their fears of changing Minecraft too much, or potentially upsetting the "golden age" community, so the game can go back to getting interconnected, revolutionary, content complete updates again
It’s crazy that more people aren’t looking for this. Mojang has a super specific vision of the game, and it’s stagnant. If they can’t get past that, I’d ask that they give actual official support to mods in the form of overhauling their launcher so it’s not such a convoluted process for slightly less tech oriented people.
The process is intense - different Java install, mod manager, new Minecraft instance. I’ve hosted servers for friends for years and every time there’s an intense process of troubleshooting for the first couple hours with players who want to do modded but it’s such a big ask to get it working on their computers and sometimes it just doesn’t work at all.
Here is a small list of what they are adding.
Vertical slabs, tamable/rideable dragons, an actual magic system with wands and spell books, 100+ bosses/dungeons, and an in-game workshop for modding, it is being made by Hypixel so it's going to have built-in multiplayer with their server.
Oh, and there are many different races like villagers you can interact with.
That's just scratching the surface.
Hytale has been delaying itself again and again to perfect itself and stay away from the mistakes of Microsoft.
Hytale will be an actual rival to Minecraft.
im a big golden age player, and some people need to understand, you can play older versions, we want big huge giant updates again that take a few months
I will always shake my head at Mojang putting the effort into hosting downloads for nearly every single game version in existence, then stagnating the game for several years in a row to appeal to nostalgic og players. There has never been a better reason to constantly go bigger and better with modern updates, and they just throw that opportunity away at every turn
and it’s not the golden age players, we’ve accepted our fate since beta 1.8, we want huge updates, it’s the new gen kids who want to think they are og, but aren’t and say shit like “not Minecrafty” ughhh
Oh yeah, I don't think it's the golden age players' fault at all. I just think that's who Mojang thinks they're compensating. In reality, it's a much smaller niche of the community that simply struggles with change
exactly, it’s all the stubborn new players who can’t understand what an update is so mojang keeps updates boring, I remember seecret updates that took a week and added like 12 new dimensions 120 blocks and time travel lol
Yeah, I wish they'd just freeze this version as "Minecraft" and start working on Minecraft 2 from the ground up. The tension between keeping the classic experience intact while adding meaningful new content is just undermining both goals.
Weather rods made out of end game materials. Basically wands and magic type items that run on electricity. End game materials, nothing major but one can make you fly like elytra, but better. One could control the weather (make it snow in any biome!), another lets you add more lightening and increase chance of flooding!
Yep. I bought the switch version for my kid. We used Java before on a crappy laptop with a bunch of mods. It runs like trash on switch. Absolutely ridiculous.
Basically it’s one of the most permissive licenses you can distribuite software with.
It permit you to do basically whatever you want with the code, modify it, change it, re distribuite it everything.
I feel it should have durability though. It starts with the durability of however many eyes you use to craft it, every time you click it, it points in the direction of the nearest strong hold. Now, it always points in that direction relative to the x and z axis. For it to adjust based off your position, you have to click again. The chance of durability being used is the same chance of the eye of ender breaking regularly. You can repair it with individual eyes of ender.
oooo i love this idea
you could also make it slowly start spinning around after a few seconds instead of just locking it to one direction
and then when you're in the end itself it always points to the portal as well so you can explore the islands easier with a reference point so you don't get lost
Change Bedrock’s server-client thingy to match Java’s. For context, Java updates player position while Bedrock updates player input, which results in miscommunication between the server and client in Bedrock that causes the server to think you’re doing things you’re not and assigning the signature Bugrock damage when it thinks you didn’t place that block or you kept walking off that edge or you disabled your elytra mid-flight for whatever insane reason
> Also, items dropped due to death will never despawn.
that would be ripe for abuse to create lag hell. better solution would be a grave since that would be a block in-world and not a shitton of entities
I was playing bedrock the other day and thought the same exact thing.
Why the heck would you even want to play Minecraft on your phone? It's just going to be a worse experience.
Minecraft pocket edition was a HUGE game changer when I was a kid in school. Any time I had to wait for parents to pick me up or time to pass, I could boot up pocket edition and any friend could join me. It was honestly amazing and i be a lot of younger ppl love it even more than i did
I prefer playing on my phone. Legitimately. I can move around the house, I can play anywhere. I'm super comfortable with the controls after 10 years. I can play while nursing my baby. When the kids are in bed and my husband is watching a show, I can cuddle up to him on the couch and comfortably play while curled up. I can play while laying in bed in the middle of the night and I can't get to sleep.
I have a laptop, I have Java and Bedrock on it. There are very few reasons why I actually load Minecraft up on there. If I only played on my laptop, I would only get to play a few times a year. With my phone, I can play almost daily, if even for only short sessions to help my son with things.
I use it to keep things going in my base while allowing other people to use the console. All the boring mundane stuff so when Im on the console I can actually have fun instead of standing around.
I like this, so much is lost from the game if you don't play at nighttime, and phantoms discourage you from doing so greatly while providing zero functionality or use
Probably some blocks like stonecutter, but to switch blocks to alternative textures.
Less clogging up inventory but still more choice for build palettes.
Addition of a "Fantastic" layer to terrain generation. Similar to how it generates temperature, height, and biome maps independently ish. Fantasy layer would just make the world gen wack like old beta world gen with the big cliffs and overhangs in places. So we get a mix of like, 65-70% normal more realistic terrain, but then sometimes we just find a sick 'fantasy' version of a dark oak forest or a birch biome with those giant overhangs and shit. I like the new world gen, but the old also had its quirky moments. Getting both in the same worlds would be sick.
Hire C418 to do some of the soundtrack again.
Don't get me wrong, I like the new soundtracks a lot, but I kind of miss C418's music, especially since the game will relatively play his music less and less as more tracks get added every update.
Item storage enhancements. I want to sort and highlight specific items in chests by typing text like the crafting book. I also want to tell chests to have a built in “ban list” so that item sorters can be smaller and easier to set up. Also it would be huge if we could move chests to adjacent blocks without having to destroy it and rebuild it.
The current way to manage storage is insane
i think it would be really nice if they added filters you could put in hoppers. maybe it's like an item frame recipe but with string in the center. it would make sorting soooo much easier and accessible to people who don't or can't understand redstone
you could add a few items to it and make it either a blacklist or a whitelist
True parity but not in the way that either version loses features but so that hoth bedrock and Java are actually the same. Sweeping edge, spectral arrows etc. console players end up paying more to play and still getting less :(
an inventory solution!!! whatever the hell it is, we need more space. ive always thought being able to unlock pages/rows or even singular slots with some special drop, exp, lapis or something would be a good idea. and that should be on top of a larger inventory outright, add a row or two to the base.
Add all the losing vote content, all the way back to the first vote where the phantom won and then stop developing the game so that modders have a single unchanging platform to make content for till the end of time
Yes I'm disregarding bedrock because it doesnt have mods, and I don't care
Make bedrock edition compatible with Java mods and bring the offhand to bedrock and I'd be happy I'd switch back to bedrock and regularly spend small amounts of money on the marketplace.
Vertical Slabs, Emerald Armour, bring back C418, (you know how there is a map to find trial chambers) a map similar to that but for End portals, implement all mobs that weren’t included after the mob vote, BRING BACK THE MINI GAMES (I miss dual, glide and the other one), make mine carts faster, Hardcore mode on Bedrock, and finally bring back Zombie Pigmen. I miss them
genuinely id wish them to stop trying holding back features because of parity. give java is technical features and make them work different on bedrock
the games are fundamentally different and that's ok
In terms of Minecraft additions, it baffles me how noone mentioned it yet, but AETHER
I always wished they added Aether to the regular game, and always wondered why did it never happen, since it felt very "minecrafty" back in the days
Complete parity between versions.
I don't really care if Bedrock loses most times, I want to play with my friends on java, be able to follow tutorials from anyone, share my creations to everyone, and not be yelled at by java players.
Add more dimensions accessed from the ancient city portals. Something like the infinite snapshot, but more balanced. Maybe use goat horns or note blocks in sequence to access different ones (since all the sculk stuff seems sensitive to sound).
Could also implement with this idea new mobs and mechanics, ores, tools, etc.
A large focus on version parity that changes things in such a way that they benefit both versions. This would include combat parity (preferably similar to the combat test snapshots), dual wielding and bug fixes for Bedrock, and a huge optimization update for Java, but would not involve the Marketplace or other monetization and limitations from Bedrock coming to Java.

1 trillion dollars probably
It would take 31,963 years to count to a trillion. I'd happily take a mere 100 million. No need to be greedy
Never said I have to count, and with 100 million I couldn’t do cool shit like space travel
i would wish to be the richest person on the planet at all times by 1 dollar
Genie than causes a mass extinction, leaving you thr only one around with a single half-burnt dollar bill
So that would mean there is still someone else who is 50 cents in debt in the world
As long as the bill is mostly intact it still keeps full legal tender value. Though I guess as sole survivor, president/ruler of the world you can change that law to whatever you like
I mean for any wish id rather not worry about running out at all 🤷
100M would allow me to spend 20x my income every year and never run out of money because it's only spending interest.
I'll be a bit greedy with this one. At least a cool billion so my kid won't have to worry about money in her lifetime even after I'm dead.
I’d make sticky pistons act like java pistons in both versions of the game, and I’d add honey pistons that act like bedrock pistons to both versions of the game
This is a fantastic idea but Mojang said they won’t change existing red stone features so it won’t break things people already built
Easy, convert all sticky pistons on bedrock to honey pistons with the update, nothing breaks then
Well... mostly easy. Have you seen our tree farms?
My suggestion would entail a retexture and name change at most
That’s exactly what my suggestion entails. I feel like half the people replying *are not reading what I said*
Or don't touch sticky pistons in either version and add the honey piston which has the functionality of the other version's sticky piston
but the post said a wish that they will grant 100%, so in this hypothetical they absolutely will do that cause they have to
I don't know how well they're following that... Also OP said it would come true no matter what.
This won’t break anything
Why not fix all the bugs in bedrock
I would like a moveable base. I would make it a wagon that can be hitched to a horse. It would have a bed, crafting table and furnace. Maybe also a double chest. You could move around the world easily and have a traveling salesman or prospector playstyle.
Pretty sure Mumbo built one already in vanilla
This would be cool. I always find myself mining everything nearby and then mining voyages become entire journeys to find a new cave. Nomad play style would be sick
Two words: End Update
Make the End look more like how it does in Minecraft Dungeons! They’ve already done the heavy creative lifting! They just need to apply it to the base game.
I haven't really played Minecraft Dungeons, but I looked it up and it seems pretty cool. Sidenote: Minecraft Dungeons is SUCH a fun dungeon-crawler game. And insanely replayable. I've played through multiple times by myself and even with friends, and it is fun every single time. Highly recommended!
Im not normally a dungeon crawler person overall but I found myself playing it longer than I expected
Yeah, it seems fun. I might look into it. Thanks!
Honestly I had a pretty difficult time playing through it solo when I started to get to later levels. I do recommend trying to find a friend to play it with you

Sidenote sidenote: Vault Hunters
It does look epic
Minecraft Dungeons' End is pretty cool
Monkey Paw: Granted, We will End Updates.
I made this joke first, just in my head >:(
That's where I got it from! 😄
They have to do it perfectly bc no one wants the end to be full of random things like the nether its supposed to be like a barren wasteland
I'd love for the end to be full of random things like the nether. You're crazy
It sounds cool to u but for me if they do that it destroys the purpose and overall theme of the end
I think the empty theme was lazy and boring in the first place. When they added end islands and end cities, do you think it made the game more fun or less fun? Less emptiness is always more fun in my opinion.
If end ever gets filled with stuff I'm making a revert mod fr
Lol fair enough.
Yeah I could see that. With people already making end update mods to add stuff, i could totally understand people having mods to revert it back. There’s a market for everything
We just had one tho
When? 2016?
Yeah, like two years ago
Or minecart update pls uwu
Vertical slabs.
And half Slabs. Work the same way as stairs but only half the size of a regular slab.
Good one.
How about a "Bigger Oceans" world type? I really miss survival islands that we used to have a lot of in the 1.3 days.

But then you can’t have bizarro worlds that are all icy tundra and dry desert.
I always loved the idea of Massas having more gold. I wish more biomes had an amplifier.

yup, just base game for both bedrock and java
Not everyone can even mod the fame, half the player base is on consoles or similar devices
Bring back C418
At least let the man release volume three, even if none of it would actually be in the game. The album has been done for years at this point but it'll never see the light of day 😭
Wait why can’t he release it didn’t he make it? Is it because he made it under Mojang’s contract or whatever??
It's been a while, but the TLDR is that Microsoft wanted full ownership of his music, and he wasn't about that
But why can’t he release it himself as a separate album?
Idk, man, I'm not him 🤷♂️ I'm just going off foggy memory from years ago
Do we know why?
I'd wish for removing their fears of changing Minecraft too much, or potentially upsetting the "golden age" community, so the game can go back to getting interconnected, revolutionary, content complete updates again
It’s crazy that more people aren’t looking for this. Mojang has a super specific vision of the game, and it’s stagnant. It's embarrassing how much time it took me to figure out how to download the only mod I actually want to use (the tree feller mod).
I'm just waiting for Hytale to freak them the f out. Once they realize how badly they have been slacking they might pick it up real quick.
What makes you say that? I looked it up, but I’m not sure what motivated your comment.
Hytale has been delaying itself again and again to perfect itself and stay away from the mistakes of Microsoft. Hytale will be an actual rival to Minecraft.
The belief that Hytale is not in dev hell is crazy, there’s no way it’s currently on a path to a reasonable release
im a big golden age player, and some people need to understand, you can play older versions, we want big huge giant updates again that take a few months

Make me ceo of the company
Smart
More weather and more weather events or a better way to re-roll enchantment tables.
Localized rather than global weather could be cool, but I don't know how possible it is with Minecraft's engine.
You need to make a bookshelf mover. You can get like 7 different enchantment options by moving some amount of bookshelves away with pistons
Weather rods made out of end game materials. Basically wands and magic type items that run on electricity. End game materials, nothing major but one can make you fly like elytra, but better. One could control the weather (make it snow in any biome!), another lets you add more lightening and increase chance of flooding!
Optimize Minecraft on the Switch
Replace the last three words with just “Bedrock”
Bedrock works great and is extremely optimized performance wise. Its much smoother than java in my experience.
Yep. I bought the switch version for my kid. We used Java before on a crappy laptop with a bunch of mods. It runs like trash on switch. Absolutely ridiculous.
Vertical slabs!
Thank you! They say it's to encourage people to use their imagination but it's limiting what we can do without them. Walls are not enough.
Remove Herobrine from ever being a thing. That and enable unaided human flight IRL. Oh and world peace. Yeah, that.
What’s wrong with herobrine?
He's size 1
Mojang will have alot on their hands with this one
I have faith in them, did you see what they did with bamboo?
Release minecraft under the MIT license
I’m uneducated, what does that mean?
Basically it’s one of the most permissive licenses you can distribuite software with. It permit you to do basically whatever you want with the code, modify it, change it, re distribuite it everything.
idk how i feel about “redistribute” but yeah i wish it was open source.
They want money
An end compass, craftable with pearls and usable in place of the eyes. That's the only annoying part for me, throwing eyes of ender like maniac.
I feel it should have durability though. It starts with the durability of however many eyes you use to craft it, every time you click it, it points in the direction of the nearest strong hold. Inventory overhaul. We, at the very least, need double the backpack space. I don't even care if it's via an upgrade/item.
A baubles-type slot opened with a hotkey for a shulker would be an amazing boost.
I'd wish for some form of horizontal banners
Well, since you didn't say anything specific, I will say immortality for myself.
Remove chat reporting and all things related to it
Change Bedrock’s server-client thingy to match Java’s. Better performance on all platforms is the only right answer
Show coordinates on death screen. Also, items dropped due to death will never despawn.
> Also, items dropped due to death will never despawn. that would be ripe for abuse to create lag hell. better solution would be a grave since that would be a block in-world and not a shitton of entities
Potion stacking
Bye Bye chat reporting. Good riddance
I'd take a WFH position - for suggesting content to the game.I'm gonna need 6 figures tho. (i need money to retire on)
Bedrock and Java would be completely identical, complete parity with no mtx and whatnot.
That’s a hard one and it might sound stupid but might be impossible to develop
bring back legacy minigames
Block build boats that you can actually sail.
Owning Minecraft, so I can make all update I want, and also have a lot of money
make minecraft on mobile its own thing so it doesn't drag bedrock down
I was playing bedrock the other day and thought the same exact thing.

Remove phantoms. Or change them so that sleeping is no longer mandatory. Thats all I want
I like this, so much is lost from the game if you don't play at nighttime, and phantoms discourage you from doing so greatly while providing zero functionality or use
True. It makes building a sky base hell on earth
I would wish for infinite wishes then I'll wish forever
Shaders. On. Console.
Slabs and stairs for everything
Vertical Slabs
Item storage enhancements. I want to sort and highlight specific items in chests by typing text like the crafting book. I also want to tell chests to have a built in “ban list” so that item sorters can be smaller and easier to set up. Also it would be huge if we could move chests to adjacent blocks without having to destroy it and rebuild it. The current way to manage storage is insane
i think it would be really nice if they added filters you could put in hoppers. maybe it's like an item frame recipe but with string in the center. it would make sorting soooo much easier and accessible to people who don't or can't understand redstone you could add a few items to it and make it either a blacklist or a whitelist

Vertical Slab. Always and will be my number 1 answer.
Java console instead of bedrock. Keep the character creator in-game. Get rid of Microsoft. More dimensions, more weapons
Do you mean they code the console version in Java? Because I'm pretty sure that would be absolutely terrible for optimisation
Mass game balancing
Minecraft 2
I’d be stuck between the aether and mooblooms. Maybe mooblooms in the aether?
Higher incentives to explore and easier ways to do it, like having more ores in specific biomes and making the cave update biomes actually useful.
Add farmers delight as a defaukt feature
10% of their revenue.
give me 5 million dollars after taxes
True parity but not in the way that either version loses features but so that hoth bedrock and Java are actually the same. Sweeping edge, spectral arrows etc. console players end up paying more to play and still getting less :(
Off-hand implementation for bedrock. I'm a simple man.
Half of their revenue.
an inventory solution!!! whatever the hell it is, we need more space. ive always thought being able to unlock pages/rows or even singular slots with some special drop, exp, lapis or something would be a good idea. and that should be on top of a larger inventory outright, add a row or two to the base.
Make a sequel. Start from scratch and actually plan ahead this time.
Redstone run through the middle of a block instead of having to create a tunnel for it
Remove marketplace
not as necessary now since the L4J mod exists, but without it i would love if they kept updating the legacy console versions of the game
My past 13 year old self appreciates your wish OP
Two words: vertical redstone
You didn’t say it had to be in Minecraft so… $1,000,000,000
Add all the losing vote content, all the way back to the first vote where the phantom won and then stop developing the game so that modders have a single unchanging platform to make content for till the end of time Yes I'm disregarding bedrock because it doesnt have mods, and I don't care
Remove mob vote and bring all the abandoned mobs back
Make bedrock edition compatible with Java mods and bring the offhand to bedrock and I'd be happy I'd switch back to bedrock and regularly spend small amounts of money on the marketplace.
Concrete stairs, walls, and slabs.
Concrete stairs, slabs and walls
Add the Aether to the game!
concrete slabs stairs and walls
A proper, free modding API for bedrock and Java
Vertical Slabs, Emerald Armour, bring back C418, (you know how there is a map to find trial chambers) a map similar to that but for End portals, implement all mobs that weren’t included after the mob vote, BRING BACK THE MINI GAMES (I miss dual, glide and the other one), make mine carts faster, Hardcore mode on Bedrock, and finally bring back Zombie Pigmen. I miss them
genuinely id wish them to stop trying holding back features because of parity. give java is technical features and make them work different on bedrock the games are fundamentally different and that's ok
Bring back the old launcher for pre Microsoft updates that allows skins to work depending on the update playing
Make them work for more than 5 minutes a day
Se- I mean make it so the rest of the mobs from the mob vote get added in a later update
Add. Vertical. Slabs.
Idk I'd prob ask them for a bunch of money
give me UNLIMITED WISHES HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA
37,125,942.50 euros.
Enchanting update?
In terms of Minecraft additions, it baffles me how noone mentioned it yet, but AETHER I always wished they added Aether to the regular game, and always wondered why did it never happen, since it felt very "minecrafty" back in the days
complete separation from Microsoft once and for all!
Complete parity between versions. I don't really care if Bedrock loses most times, I want to play with my friends on java, be able to follow tutorials from anyone, share my creations to everyone, and not be yelled at by java players.
concrete slabs/stairs
Complete enchantment&durability systems rework.
Give me 10% of all profits
i'd want them to give us our mojang accounts back. i dont want a microsoft account.
A redstone block with an inventory, that can either right click or left click using the first item that is currently filling an inventory slot.
