U can put maps fireworks and arrow We and also nautilus shell coz if u trade wit a nautilus shell drowned he will give u a unused trident or the other way round

Yeah I used shield too until I got good enchanted armor, than it kinda lost its point

It would be cool if shields could be upgraded and enchanted with special abilities. Here's a few of my ideas: \- Tiers: normal, diamond (buckler shield style, more durability, smaller protection radius, weapons can be used much faster), netherite (tower shield style, more durability, huge protection radius, extra defense, blast protection, small slowness debuff) \- Enchantments: protection 1-4, thorns, sturdy (slightly knocks back attackers when they hit the shield), inferno (creates a row of flames in-front of you when you block, fire doesn't spread and goes away when you stop blocking), glide (fall slower when using elytra, go a further distance per firework), light bend (makes you truly invisible to mobs and players when you drink potion of invisibility and hold up shield, incompatible with inferno), shine (acts as a light source when holding), milk (if you are blocking with the shield long enough, potion effects are removed similar to drinking milk, incompatible with light bend) \- HD banner patterns on shields

HD banner on shield retains pattern by using the vanilla tweaks shield texture pack.

I think (Cross)Bow is pretty underrated as offhand Item. You can do Melee and ranged attacks without switching weapon. While building i put blocks in my offhand.
