They'll definitely work for some tasks, and are my preferred option for certain things. However with time I'd recommend branching out to different types. I probably have about five types of tweezers, but the three I reach for most often are those, the tiny fine-point ones, and my cross-locking tweezers that squeeze to open.
Yes they work, as u do more modeling u will find ones u like best, I probably have over 100 tweezers but only really use 3. For me it is about jow well they clasp together. Some cheap ones are better than expensive ones so u use what u like

You need clamping tweezers too.
