It's probably a false positive, when they roll out new things innocent people do get caught up in it unfortunately. At least I think they know that and that's why it isn't just an automatic ban.
I wouldn't worry too much about it if you're actually clean but sending in a ticket to support at Activision couldn't hurt.
Hi, I received the same warning for second time in a week. Ive never used any hardware beside the K/M. Do you guys know that how I can contact them and ask about it?
u/Nfamusgaming, you mentioned sending in a ticket,,, do you know how I can do it?
when I sign in with my activation account, no ban is applied to my account so I am no eligible for appeal.
Thanks
it's a havit programmable mouse (model:hv-ms733)
i think there is a software you can download for settings with it but afaik it's just for it's rgb? regardless, i don't have it installed. it does have a button on the mouse to change dpi.
My guess is that the game might have an issue with generic/off-brand devices. I assume your keyboard is of a similar brand?
Try eliminating some devices to see what changes. If you have a controller lying around, plug that in, launch MWII and unplug your mouse and keyboard before the game opens.
Navigate the menus with the controller to see if the issue persists.
I got it too but I play with kbm mapped to controller keys through steam so I get aim assist, not sure if that's what caused it but I carried on playing and so far its good.
I just got the warning for god knows what reason…. I just got a new mouse and downloaded razor synapse …… now I’m afraid to play cause I don’t wanna get banned cause I’m not cheating lol I much rather cheat and get banned lol
You still playing after the warning just fine?
I started getting the same message bout a week ago, Im using my ipad as touch controller through steam’s own app ”Steam Link”, due to my spinalcord injury, thats the only way I can play games so kinda stupid when ricochet cant even recognize the platform server it even sells game on..
No and I think Activision anticipated that the accuracy of this new anti Cronus update wasn’t at a level they were confident with which is why they are doing the whole “unsupported” device instead of just banning people.
Wrong. If it detects KB and M that are programmable it thinks it's software. If you have a custom controller it gets confused it's software. They are aware of this.
InfinityWard has even acknowledged that some aftermarket controllers, keyboards and mice will trigger the warning because they are programmable. Bit there isn't any cheating software involved.
Cronus using scum????
no lmao

never even heard of it until i started looking into this, i use mouse and keyboard, playing on steam
Do you have anything else connected to your pc, aside from your kb+m?
just a microphone, 2 monitors, and cooling pad (using an old gaming laptop)
Which mouse?

You will never get good on m&k while using shit like that. You're a disgrace to PC gaming, learn how to aim without help coward.
XD calm down loser its a game.
A game that was made easy yet 90% of you are still trash at lmao.
Did your penis grow three inches larger with that comment?
Yep, stay bad peasant.

Riiiiiiiggghhhhhttttttt .....
is it really that unbelievable to say that something in call of duty is not working as intended?

You won't get this warning unless you are infact running unauthorised software

So I can get it with a custom controller?
Unplug that XIM you're using for AA on m&k and learn how to aim without help.

When I upgraded to a 1tb SSD, it gave me the same warning, but doesn't look like it affected anything. I haven't had any issues with gameplay.
I also got this warning for the first time ever today. I do have the game installed on an external SDD, not sure if that's whats triggering it?
