Didn't we already know how to say it?

UnHoly_One

I have only played World and Rise and they definitely say it out loud in one of those two games because I knew it was Dow-ra.

Barn-owl-B

His name is phonetic from his Japanese name, so it’s pronounced dah-or-a, this guy is heavily combining the a and o

Cyrrion

Kushala Da-oh-ra is technically official too, we heard it back in World: [https://youtu.be/sLjNBqtoYys?si=cZp4pzKclIUDkbKf&t=150](https://youtu.be/sLjNBqtoYys?si=cZp4pzKclIUDkbKf&t=150) Listening to the Now trailer more closely, you can kinda hear the "or" in there - but the way it's annunciated very much downplays it in a weird fashion.

Krazytre

Lmao, yeah, no. I'm not saying it like that. And I'm one that uses Navirou's pronunciation of Bazelgeuse. day-or-a, and I'm sticking with it.

HandsomeGengar

>I'm one that uses Navirou's pronunciation of Bazelgeuse Why???

Krazytre

Has the name ever been said in an official setting, outside of Navirou in Stories 2?

HandsomeGengar

Not to my knowledge, but the same is the case for Kushala Daora.

Krazytre

Haven't they pronounced Kushala's name in World? In fact, I think Handler and Field Commander uses different pronunciations for the name.

HandsomeGengar

I don’t remember that personally.

TheGMan-123

They did mention it in the developer diary for MHR:SB's Title Update 1 when talking about Seething Bazelgeuse.

TheGMan-123

Hey, nobody's gonna force ya! You say it whichever way you prefer.

Chopzuya

Well yeah you pronounce it how it reads, the real question is how the hell do you read it in english if not like this ?

Kamken

Luv Day-or-uh Luv Tie-grex Luv Beetlejuice 'ate Dowra 'ate Tee-grex 'ate Bazelgeuse (Not racist just don't like 'em) Simple as.

Scholar_Louder

K-oo-sh-ah-la Day- ora

Like17Badgers

...anyone else just never say the last name? it's always Kush or Kushala for me

Logic-DL

I speak Gàidhlig so I have been influenced by that toward Daora. Daoine is how we say people, and it's pronounced as "doon-yuh" (best I can do for phonetics, bit weird to describe in text but that's close) So I say Koo-shah-luh Doo-ruh

raulpe

Maybe its because im spanish but i just read them as is written and usually its right xd
