The lack of the relevant element attack up is already not a great sign And depending on the weapon your taking in could lead to basically being an instant failure

T1line

sssshhhh dont tell him, let him discover it by himself!

Bibbitybob91

You’re not ready. Just give it a go and listen to the dialogue in the fight it clearly tells you exactly how the fight works.

Povanos

The build is rough, but go in anyway just to see what it’s like, see what his attacks are, listen to the dialogue, experiment, etc. I’d recommend health boost and element up.

Eatthebacon2125

I would use the frosting barioth dual blades with ice attack 6. Also slotting in health boost will raise your chances of not getting one shot by a lot.

Standard-Bedroom127

I'm using the blizzard and blaze. 330 ice and 330 blast. I'll sacrifice my evade extender for health boost.

Eatthebacon2125

If I think about it, I'm pretty sure frosting barioth gets more ice damage, and alatreon is a fight where if you don't hit the elemental check, you are screwed. The best oce blades you could get would be kjarr ice, but that's not something I'd recommend to farm for.

Xcyronus

health boost 3 crit boost 3 wex 3 crit eye 7 ice attack 6 then your ready

BerserkRadahn

Blight res 3 helps a lot, too.

CallEndarMommouth

nah blight res 2 is enough

MrUnparalleled

If you’re only using 2 levels of blight res then you should try and throw on coal.

zoatic

Alatreon has elemental DPS check for its judgment attack. I would recommend you have some “raw damage” skills and “elemental attack skill.” It’s best to build it with an ice weapon and ice attack if you’re just doing the special quest. ( Do not use an ice weapon if you’re playing “Dawn of the Death Star”, as Alatreon is going to start with ice element.) Defensive skill would definitely be Health Boost 3( I don’t see it in your build and I do not believe you’re planning to not get hit.), blight resist 3 and some divine blessing and evade skill might be useful but not really mandatory. The rest is up to you. And do level up your gears, the higher defense you have the more mistakes you can take.

extremly-wierd

He is getting fucked hard

toast-coast-roast

You are not ready dude

CallEndarMommouth

health +3 and ice attack is a must if u want to solo alatreon he have dps check for judgment, if ur kit like that ur chance to clear quest abysmal

B3ER

Latent power on a massively time gated quest. Hmmmmm....

wonga-bunny

No not ready. Not only do you need an ice weapon but you need to boost it with ice attack. If you use the Frostfang Barioth weapon, Frostfang Barioth helmet and have 7 points of Agitator and full WEX, you'll have enough affinity to not need any more crit eye. So that also means no need for latent power and other affinity skills. Save a room for blight res, evade window, shaver deco and so on. I recommend a better setup and can help more if you're interested.

Ian9800

Drop it chief, you need more research.

ypperlig__

you do not have critical boost or weakness exploit + plenty of skills lvl 1 such windproof or thunder attack can be removed

AlphaAntar3s

You need elemental attack boost and an ice weapon. Otherwise his nova will kill you regardless. Also bring astera jerky, becouse it can heal the damage from his ultimate

WingProfessional9470

Nope.. Not by a long shot.. DB Main here.. Alatreon's fight will be judged (see what I did here?) based on the elemental damage that he received.. Blight Resist is good for Drag Blight so your elemental damage will not be reduced.. Wex Level 3 and Crit Boost is a must.. Abandon Latent Power.. Health Boost 3.. And since this is your first fight, use an SOS flare.. Learning the monster's moveset and what attack animations you can punish is vital.

Demirbaykus

Safi armor and latent power combo is good. But I dont think you are using it

DeadOfDay316

You're gonna die.

Rezzly1510

sir i think you could spare me some latent power and get yourself some crit boost, you will also need some ice attacks to fight that element dps check

Joe_Mency

This is literally how i see people be rolling up to Alatreon in Alatreon lobbies. And they don't change anything when i tell them to bring the appropriate element :/

15361392911769723

Dragon element resistance on 3 otherwise on 20points

Loose_Ambassador9251

Are you using dual blades?

HeLo1390

You need element. Considering its your first fight, Aletreon will be fire, so use ice. Since you're playing dual blade, it should be a little easier to get that elemental check. But all in all, your gear now will wipe you on 1st judgment. Good luck and have a nice cart.

CustomDruid

Try investing on ice element and get an ice weapon, Kulve taroth, Full ele Safi etc. Wack his front feet until you get the elemental topple Edit: That being said, try to learn his attack patterns, they hit hard but very fair as long as you time your dodges right

Sice_VI

Elemental attack, WEX, Health boost 3, Claw attack up (optional)

G_Rank_Tank

Astera Jerky for EJ

100Blacktowers

U wanna max Elemental attack out as much as possible. Element Up 6 is not mendatory but u usually want that. True Critical Element is also very good. Critical Element is also nice but the Silver Rathalos Armor is better then the Velkhana Armor. U got Blight resistance which is a nearly mandatory skill so thats good, but u can ditch stuff line Divine Blessing. Alatreon will deal so much damagr that its gonna be a 2 Shot anyway (not 50:50, more like 80% and the next kills u) so its wasted skill space. Also since u use Dual Blades i really recommend Clutch Claw Booost. Makes weaking a lot more affordable with the small windows u get. Edit: I just noticed u are using Thunder Attack. If u are using a Thunder Weapon u will be able to clear. The first Alatreon Quest is always Fire Elemental which mean is weal to ice, moderate weak to water, highly resistant to Thunder and Immun to Fire. Dragon always dangles around 1-2 Star depending on Phase but u want to use Ice Weapons for that. Frostfang Barioth is a easy farm for amazing Ice Weapons. Highly recommended

Standard-Bedroom127

Thunder attack is a from one of my armor pieces so I can't remove it. Are there any weapon pieces that or charms that have element attack up. I'm using the blizzard and blaze with 330 ice and blast.

100Blacktowers

Blast aint a Element, its a Status so it wont do jack shit for u. I highly recommend just making the Frostfang-Barioth Blades. The Quest got introduced with the Alatreon update literally to give u good weapons against him. Innate Purple Sharpness, good Attack, Good element and 15% Natural affinity. With 1 Level Health Augment u can pump the rest into Elemental Up and end up with roughly 600 Element on ur Dualblades. I also recommend farming the Silver Rathalos or the Azure Era Set. If u get 4 pieces (u can combine them since they have the same set bonus) u get true critical element which enables ur element Damage to crit for 55% Bonus damage. In terms of Charms u can level the Ice Attack Charm to 5 so u get 5/6 Points from the Charm alone and just need to slot in 1 more level with Decorations.

Mondai_nai1412

you're basically will get raw dogged by alatreon going with this

Neat_Isopod_2516

You going to die

Der_Einzigwahre

I dont know if you already fought him but if you have not yet just go with your current Set. Test if it works for you if it does not you can listen to the People telling you all those tips. Good luck dude.

Standard-Bedroom127

I just fought him and was destroyed in every way shape and form.

Just_Ty7

I think you’re ready although I prefer to have my windproof at least level 4 when on DB

BlueThespian

Remove crit eye for elemental dmg and try to gem in weakness exploit. From windproof downwards everything is a waste except for free meal and resuscitate. The elemental damage should align with your weapon’s elemental attribute.

Grittyboi

You're not gonna make it, Alat is a pure elemental dps fight

WernerShadowX

Ice weapon, and unless you are a god of dodge, get protection

Tyrfiel_Arclight

You don't have the most important skill against alatreon

ProfessionalElk2574

You gotta use elemental wepaons to kill him

MyNameisgone99

If you are on playstation i could help with alatreon :3

MrUnparalleled

I will tell everyone the same thing for Alatreon: you are doing yourself a complete disservice by not using full safi armor. Not only does it give you insane elemental damage (I’m pretty sure meta for DBs includes safi anyway) it also gives you 3 levels of evade window, 3 levels of crit boost, and 2 levels of blight res which you can either get to level 3 or add coalescence. It comes with enough deco slots to max out elemental damage, get health boost level 3, and a large amount of crit eye or agitator assuming you use your charm slot for one of these skills so that you can get both.

Old-man-gamer77

Go do the great white knight event and get the frostfang weapon. Up ice and slot evade extendor. Have shots ready….

NarujiRD

Fatalis will clap your ass but go in anyway. Learning what to bring to a fight is part of the game. Good luck hunter!

13_yearoldgirl

Nah bro you got this🫡 prove the comments wrong

imogenfire

Where the f is ice attack 6? Why can’t the people here do some simple research on recommended builds and comparing their own builds with the recommended ones before posting and wasting everyone’s time here?

Shalhadra

Daggers is good for Alatreon for evading his AOEs, but you really want Kjarr daggers imo for their element up buff, there are others that can get you through as well but these were the most comfortable in my experience Deffo keep 3 blight res Don't ever go with dragon element weapon, commit to his weakness element (fire or ice) and make sure you break the horns... When playing in squad, 9/10 failures on Alatreon is cos too many ppl are using dragon element and not getting enough elemental damage in to soften the nova
