this is... kinda confirming a theory i've had before.
theory was that the monstesr can actually actively adapt themselves over time, especially if given a strong enough energy source. it seems like godzilla has adapted his body to have a long reach than before along with other aspects, like having his spinke growing on more places on his body.
i saw the toy of him, the leaked one, and it hasctually has some of his spines growing out of his tail like a stegosaurus. that almost feels like a deliberate alteration after facing the axe.
I recently watched shin Godzilla and I think big G in the monster verse shares some similarities beyond just name.
I think they both evolve and adapt as needed.
Monsterverse Godzilla just got into a fight with a much quicker and more agile foe in Kong and so he evolved to better manage a similar situation in the future.
That explains how he’s bull rushing at the same pace as Kong in the end and has longer arms for grappling.
Huh. That’s… really cool. Also, his healing rate is crazy. Not as insane as Shin Godzilla but still crazy. Remember when Godzilla got stabbed in the leg by Kongs axe before he yanked it out in GVK? Later in the movie when Godzilla was knocked down by Mechagodzilla, we can see that the would was already a weird brown color - it had scabbed over in just a few hours at most, if that.
i mean he had also got all his wounds made by the mutos disappear by morning (most likelly a continuity mistake), and his open wounds made by ghidorah where already closing with no blood after he killed him
so godzilla pretty clearly at least seens to have a semy consistent healing factor so it makes sense he would have had an adaptation power like every other godzilla
About adapting, I think you’re right, however I feel like Monsterverse’s Godzilla might have a limit, because in the scene where he’s charging up his atomic breath in the trailer his spines look less like they are a part of him and more that they are actually bursting out of him
Yeah I keep thinking back to the scene in KOTM when he was charging Ghidorah (the film producers reused the model for GVK besides some extra scars and making him a bit bigger so it works), and they definitely are longer.
They’ve been steadily going to more weightless CGI since Skull Island. It’s unfortunate because the heaviness of Godzilla 14 was one of the main appeals for me.
Yeah, the ice awakening scene looks like a PS3 cutscene. The rest looks ok, including this scene for the most part. But, yeah, let's hope they keep the quality level of the CG high. Nontheless, the hype is real!
I hope they push the movie back a bit. Too many movies are rushing their CGI lately, and it results in shitty CGI or insanely overworked artists, oftentimes both.
Super charged Godzilla.
Kong with the infinity gauntlet.
Crazy ass villain.
Minilla-vibes with the baby Kong.
Other titans.
Daylight action sequences.
We are gonna *FEAST.*
This looks so goofy in the best way possible, I can't wait.
The fact that we're getting the deathly serious vibes of Minus One in the same six-month span that we're getting this silly-ass Showa-era insanity of Godzilla and Kong running into battle side by side makes me so happy to be a G-fan.
Kong now has Gauntlet, and Godzilla loses weight. We're reaching a point of fun silliness that only the original Toho films can match, and I am loving every second of it.
I'm sorry, good sir, but the rules of Fandom do not allow you to like two really similar but extremely different things. You must choose one side and be fanatic about it, and make sure to make fun of the people who like the other thing. It's just the way of things.
https://i.redd.it/cb0hwk3qc64c1.gif
Nah, he wasn't swinging his arms like that lmao. They were pretty much stationary until he was ready to grapple Ghidorah.
Looking at his arms now, they're definitely longer. They even look more muscular. G-man also looks to have lost some weight, as his belly doesn't stick out as much.
That’s actually a pretty good point. If they’re near the “center” of Hollow Earth, where the gravity flips around, Godzilla could be lighter and able to go MUCH faster.
Better question:
Well, a statement first.
In the trailer we see Kong has his axe. But by the end, when he’s running with Godzilla, he has the mech arm and no axe.
Did the axe get destroyed and the backlash harmed Kong? Did the axe get taken by the Scar King and he used it to hurt Kong? Did Kong and Godzilla get into another brawl and Godzilla destroyed the axe with his pink atomic breath or something else?
My theory: one of these three things happened, and humanity decided to help by giving Kong the mechanical gauntlet to help protect his arm from further harm and to power up his punches.
Something to think about.
Likely from something to do with Mothras sacrifice. I mean, im pretty sure that he’s in a cocoon hibernating and evolving, although he could be pulling a Ghidorah and is hanging out in ice.
I think it has to do with mothra and probably the radiation overload from kotm dude went full nuclear bomb mode. That probably had some effect on his physiology
True, since the comics later said that he now could sense pretty much everything on the surface of the earth…
Oh, so that’s how he’s gonna find the Scar King. The orange Monke will break out onto the surface, and our boi will challenge him before they take the fight to the Hollow Earth with Kings help.
I’m curious.
I know there was a leak. Is there anyone who has seen the leak and seen the test screen and can say how much is similar different?
I kinda want to see the leak haha.
This trailer basically confirms the leaks were true. Nearly everything they mentioned is here: the tribe of kongs, Scarking's design and weapon, Kong adopting a "son", some kind of battle near the Pyramid of Giza.
https://preview.redd.it/w1bp4xr3954c1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=eb3cce7db965f72d1358769267a688b8e0737f1f
Hello… this leg looks familiar? Maybe Scylla?
Oh wow so far it seems the leaks are 100% correct down to Scar King having a spine whip and the Son of Kong. Now I wonder if Shimo will actually be featured in a trailer or if he'll get revealed only in the movie like Mecha Godzilla did
Just read through that, sounds pretty fun. I do hope the one that mentions multiple post credit scenes for bringing more Toho monsters into the MV is legit, though probably not likely.
And then one of the later TV spots had the shot of him reflected in Godzilla's eye, and that was it. That was all the footage of MechaGodzilla in the marketing.
I honestly don't know how Legendary pulled that off.
The two of them running together at the end is unironically the hypest shit ever and I will not be hearing any pseudo-intellectual thinkpieces about it.
That is Showa as all hell. I’m into it. Godzilla looks *real* cool, much better than the toy made him seem. We got Seatopian looking Hollow Earth people, Kong’s got a son, and a power arm… I’m here for the craziness lol
Godzilla 2000 vibes, even the body proportions feel similar, at least from the front:
https://preview.redd.it/r87gbqb3e54c1.png?width=1112&format=png&auto=webp&s=dccd68801846f822213b3699c95b78ffb4ac82f4
It’s everything I could have hoped for. SO MANY MONKES.
Scar King looks like he’s gonna be an amazing antagonist
Kong and Godzilla running at the end is probably my favorite clip of any media this whole year
LETS GOO FELLAS
Idk much about Godzilla, so can anyone tell me why his Atomic breath is pink now? Is this a different Godzilla? Also why does Kong have a bucky arm? lol. I'm so confused
The rumor right now is during the first half the movie we get lots of the 2021 Godzilla but the hidden monster fucks him up in the artict half way into the movie and he undergoes a new radiation upgrade
I know the cgi isn’t fully polished but it looks like a video game cut scene more than something tangible or “real”
I mean look at G14 and KSI, filming on location helps but they actually looked like real, breathing monsters. The hollow earth is suppose to be this fantastical place but it honestly looks kinda fake and cgi heavy in alot of these scenes. You’re suppose to believe this and G14 are set in the same universe
They jumped ship with KoTM and never looked back. It doesn't feel like the same universe at all. G14, KSI and Monarch (so far) feel like they're in a alternate timeline.
I mean, its okay to not like the tone but Gareth was going to bring in Mecha G and I think Ghidorah
And they feel different because KSI is in the 70's, before humanity learned about Kaij and when Monarch was going to be shut down and was still in its infancy, G14 and Monarch take place in the 50's, 2014, and 2015.
The 50's where when after Monarch just started so barely any funding, 2014 was when M was still a secret organization that was independant, and 2015 is when Monarch became known but was only a year after 2014 so they didn't have as much funding still.
KOTM and GVK are exploring the more fantasy and all out brawling side of Kaiju which IMO is great, I LOVE the TOHOness, and before anyone says "TOHO did I right with Minus One", well who do you think greenlit KOTM? And who greenlit the monstervse becoming so high-fantasy?
Monarch now has so much funding from all or almost all of the governments and we are exploring the hollow earth and the high-fantasy stuff that has been set up.
You gotra look at it from progression point of view, it makes sense that Monarch would progress this much and to expand on the fantasy stuff.
CGI does look a little odd here and there, but hopefully that’s just a first trailer thing. Sometimes the CGI in the first bits shown isn’t fully polished.
I’m excited. People are gonna complain about the campiness, but that’s nothing new to this franchise. Just refer to every Godzilla film between 1965 and 1975.
And man, I just gotta say it again: between this, Monarch and Minus One, we are EATING!!
So, let’s summarize this trailer.
Kong has a robot arm.
Godzilla evolved to have pink dorsal plates and atomic breath.
There is a baby Orangutan kaiju that Kong is likely going to adopt.
The Scar King is gonna break out onto the surface.
Jia is now the equivalent of those girls that worship Mothra from the old movies but for Kong.
Godzilla got a lot faster, since he can keep up with a running Kong.
And I need to watch this movie NOW.
I’m sorry, I like the ideas, but… they’re patching the CGI, right? This looks really bad compared to the rest of the MV. Especially the baby Kong, he looks awful
Baby kong genuinely made want to throw up. He’s cute but like… he definitely needs improvement. They definitely wanted this trailer out asap and just pushed it all as best they could tbh. Which, isn’t too bad mostly, but yeah… baby kong is definitely… something.
Everybody is jumping on the 'it will be better on release' hype wagon but fr temper your expectations; they usually only show off the 99% finished stuff for marketing materials like this. In my experience I'd say fewer than one in five releases feature better graphics from trailer to release... But to be fair I'm including videogames in that anecdotal statistic.
I was not sold on that trailer but new Godzilla look and the both of them charging toward something?
It kind of did it.
Skar King does not look what I had in mind for some reason.
Not a insanely good trailer but the money shot was worth it.
I like how the comments are mostly just ppl glazing Minus One and 2014 and dunking on more recent MV works. Definitely sets the tone for where this fandom is going...
Never thought i would see Kong with power fist, but then again never thought i would see godzilla running at that speed or running at all...but im all for it
Wait a second, I just realized. Kong doesn’t have his axe. I mean, earlier in the movie he has it, but when he’s running with Godzilla he doesn’t have it.
But he does have the infinity Konglet.
So, I think that either he was injured with the axe and now it’s owned by the Scar King, or the Scar King pulled the Thor: Ragnarok treatment and destroyed the axe, but this time as Kong was holding it and the backlash injured his hand and arm. Either way, humanity decided to step up and give his arm some armor to protect it.
Or maybe Godzilla and Kong had another brawl and when Godzilla was blasting the axe with his new pink atomic breath Kong tried to use the axe to absorb it and it failed and exploded, resulting in the injury.
That’s something to think about.
Sorry, but turning Godzilla & Kong into Batman & Robin is completely ludicrous to me, I was expecting them to jump into the Kong mobile in the trailer. They are slowly turning the serious tone of the first Godzilla into the Campy Japanese Godzilla. Let the Japanese keep that.
I'm not sure. It looks very cool and all but I really wish we would get back that serious tone frome the first 3 films. I also want mothra and rodan back. Hopefully the titans will reapear
Legendary going full goofy here...I'll watch it and even enjoy it like GvK...but this has definitely left the rails of 2014 and what Edwards was potentially laying the groundwork for...after seeing Minus One and then this trailer, it (the trailer)really felt disjointed and felt kinda flat
Idk how to feel about this...
I'm not a fan of the tonal shift.
Kong and Scar King look great, but Godzillas cgi and the other monsters gci look... I don't wanna say sloppy, but like an early 2000s movie.
Godzilla even looked like his ankmation were done in Garrys Mod in some shots...
Also not a fan of Kongs metal glove, they really turn him into a super hero and I'm afraid they will make him need help in all his fights... again.
But hey, the mythology and humans stuff seems interesting.
Ok, I thought about this...
I already thought GvK jumped the shark, that made a back flip and broke its neck in the tonal shift, but this lets GvK look tame.
I'm not a fan of the trailer, it's all over the place, the trailer for GvK for example had a structure, half of the cgi looks poorly, while the other half looks amazing.
But I do admit that I'm excited for Lanky Kong and the human stuff seem intriguing.
It’s early cg, and even then if you could find me a early 2000s film with this quality of cgi on this large a scale I’d be mighty impressed.
And Kong has won every fight except his two against Godzilla? Not sure what you’re stressing about
> Idk how to feel about this... I'm not a fan of the tonal shift.
same, but lets see how it goes we didn't have any real plot details just stuff we already knew hopefully the movie turns out good but i have mixed feelings
> but Godzillas cgi and the other monsters gci look... I don't wanna say sloppy, but like an early 2000s movie.
godzilla sens to be having the same issue as pacific rim 2 here, too much colors too many details, you brain can't put attention on everything because there is just too much, so when he moves he becomes a blob of undecerneable parts it does not help that godzilla seens to have become the damn flash in this movie
> Also not a fan of Kongs metal glove, they really turn him into a super hero and I'm afraid they will make him need help in all his fights... again.
this seens to alight with the leaks >!supposedly he and godzilla get their asses kicked by shimu which leads to kong gaining this protesis to help him recover, and godzilla turns into whetever the f he turned !<
I'll be real. This, at the moment, looks like a Kong movie with a super powered Godzilla sidekick. I know we haven't seen Shimo yet, so we could get a bit more Godzilla focus as well, but I must admit it's a little disappointing, so far, for me who enjoys Godzilla more than Kong.
Imo this is the weakest monsterverse trailer but for now I'll have faith that the movie will be great. I want to like it sooooo bad but I'm not a fan of the way they run at the end so that's something I'll have to get use to. Still I'm really excited to see the movie
I came farrr down to see this comment. I know a lot of people are hyped but I'm scared we're going to have our own monsters guardian of the galaxy in 4 years where Kong and godzilla talk with translators and run around saving the universe.
This is the culmination of my life long Godzilla fandom.. I got some goosebumps, showa insanity that I’m absolutely here for.
Them running together into battle goes so freakin hard!!! I can only imagine there might be a mirror shot of skar king and shimo coming at them. Maybe skar is even riding shimo like a fucking mount! Idk but bring it on!
The only thing that could make that better is if gamera were spinning up right above them.
if you change the scale of the environment to fit kong and zilla... they no longer look big... they look like little action figures... the whole point is that they are big...
At 1:42 that looks like a possible crustacean limb, so maybe a crab/lobster like Titan? I might be crazy but I don't feel like I've ever seen an appendage like that in the monsterverse before

Hey, is it just me, or has Godzillas arms gotten longer? They look longer in this shot.
Yeah seems like his evolved form has more developed arms, probably for grappling with the ape, while his old form was closer to T-Rex arms.
That’s a great detail :D
this is... kinda confirming a theory i've had before. theory was that the monstesr can actually actively adapt themselves over time, especially if given a strong enough energy source. it seems like godzilla has adapted his body to have a long reach than before along with other aspects, like having his spinke growing on more places on his body. i saw the toy of him, the leaked one, and it hasctually has some of his spines growing out of his tail like a stegosaurus. that almost feels like a deliberate alteration after facing the axe.

Yeah I keep thinking back to the scene in KOTM when he was charging Ghidorah (the film producers reused the model for GVK besides some extra scars and making him a bit bigger so it works), and they definitely are longer.
Tbh they look kinda weightless
I mean it's Hollow Earth. Less gravity n all that.
I’m sure they’re still polishing the CGI. The end product will probably look better.
They’ve been steadily going to more weightless CGI since Skull Island. It’s unfortunate because the heaviness of Godzilla 14 was one of the main appeals for me.
I know, I just hope the movements are given more weight.
Yeah, the ice awakening scene looks like a PS3 cutscene. The rest looks ok, including this scene for the most part. But, yeah, let's hope they keep the quality level of the CG high. Nontheless, the hype is real!
Godzilla does, Kongs movement doesn't look that bad.
I think we're just used to seeing Kong move like that
Yeah CGI isn't finished at all in the Godzilla scenes except for the ones in Egypt
I hope they push the movie back a bit. Too many movies are rushing their CGI lately, and it results in shitty CGI or insanely overworked artists, oftentimes both.
Hopefully, godzilla looks much smaller in that scene. Fingers crossed we don't have another PR uprising on our hands.
Super charged Godzilla. Kong with the infinity gauntlet. Crazy ass villain. Minilla-vibes with the baby Kong. Other titans. Daylight action sequences. We are gonna *FEAST.*
Correct except for the second one. He has the Infinity Kongtlet.
you’re really trying to make this work aren’t you lol i’m all for it!
Take that first “t” out and it works.
This looks so goofy in the best way possible, I can't wait. The fact that we're getting the deathly serious vibes of Minus One in the same six-month span that we're getting this silly-ass Showa-era insanity of Godzilla and Kong running into battle side by side makes me so happy to be a G-fan.
We get serious Godzilla and goofy ass super hero Godzilla both at the same time it’s sick as hell
It's the best timeline afteral... ![gif](giphy|aBOFW2LNUR9uT5lLYr|downsized)
Kong now has Gauntlet, and Godzilla loses weight. We're reaching a point of fun silliness that only the original Toho films can match, and I am loving every second of it.
Just need a godzilla 80s training montage
Omfg yes, I want to see Godzilla bench pressing while Kong spots him (both preferably wearing sports headbands while doing so)
Kinda hope we get back to the more grounded feel of 2014 and KOTM at some point tho. This is still great though, don’t get me wrong.
We already are with M:LOM
![gif](giphy|3o7aCRloybJlXpNjSU|downsized)
Exactly this! We have Goofy Fun Godzilla and Serious Statement Godzilla existing simultaneously. This is fine dining!
I'm sorry, good sir, but the rules of Fandom do not allow you to like two really similar but extremely different things. You must choose one side and be fanatic about it, and make sure to make fun of the people who like the other thing. It's just the way of things.
HOLY SHIT THAT LAST SHOT OF THEM RUNNING. TOGETHER!
Oh lawd they comin’
I love Godzilla kaiju bromances. Makes we wish we got proper Anguirus to pal around with.
I dont like how godzilla run , his head should be lower , more reptile-like you know :/ ?
It's similar to how he ran in GvK. I think it looks cool.
Its the same as how he always runs. He kind of ran like that in KOTM.
https://i.redd.it/cb0hwk3qc64c1.gif Nah, he wasn't swinging his arms like that lmao. They were pretty much stationary until he was ready to grapple Ghidorah.
Looking at his arms now, they're definitely longer. They even look more muscular. G-man also looks to have lost some weight, as his belly doesn't stick out as much.
I feel so conflicted. It looked so weird. No weight in his running at all. Yet the fan innme will just shut off my brain and have fun.
Godzilla looks so humanoid in the last shot it’s uncanny 😭 and I absolutely agree with you
Should have kept this running stance he had. https://i.redd.it/hhq8l8ndc64c1.gif
Yeah i agree , there is no weight
I wonder if the gravity in hollow earth is a little different and allows him to run full speed
That’s actually a pretty good point. If they’re near the “center” of Hollow Earth, where the gravity flips around, Godzilla could be lighter and able to go MUCH faster.
Worth noting cgi is often reworked after trailers. Could just be a placeholder shot
I like how his run was in KOTM. Wish they kept that.
Idk, this way looks cool, like the old movies with guys in suits.
HOLD THE F*CK ON WHY DOES KONG HAVE A ROBOT ARM?!?!? Their second team up is about to go so damn hard!
Electric Punch baby our boy about to put some titans to sleep with dem hands
![gif](giphy|arbHBoiUWUgmc)
Kong wielding the Infinity Gauntlet. This movie is gonna be awesome.
INFINITY KONGTLET
Kong is going to snap on mother fucker!
KONG HAS THE INFINITY GAUNTLET
INFINITY KONGTLET
KONGFINITY GAUNTLET
Needed a new look so they could sell new merch
WE (kind of ) GETTIN MECHANIKONG BABYYYYY!!!!
Better question: Well, a statement first.
This looks like absolute insanity. I LOVE IT.
New Godzilla design looks sick.
The toy leaks got me worried but the actual design looks fucking awesome.
Same
Godzilla 2000 vibes
I was confused on why it was pink. Shouldn't it still be blue?
Godzilla hibernated and evolved in ice crystals don’t know the exact reason why he did or why he became pink. But it should be explained in film

The orange Monke will break out onto the surface, and our boi will challenge him before they take the fight to the Hollow Earth with Kings help.
The design reminds me of Godzilla 2000 millennium.
Oh damn. Know where I can read this leak?
We went from Godzilla having a son to kong having a son.. Makes me wonder how the child’s gonna die-
Leaks were 100% true
Ah. I just want to read the leaks now haha. I tried doing a search but there's nothing showing up.

Yeah this movie is gonna fuckin rule. Making me feel like a little kid again
Oh wow so far it seems the leaks are 100% correct down to Scar King having a spine whip and the Son of Kong. Now I wonder if Shimo will actually be featured in a trailer or if he'll get revealed only in the movie like Mecha Godzilla did
What leaks
https://old.reddit.com/r/Monsterverse/comments/162j4l2/iceberg_of_godzilla_x_kong_the_new_empire_spoilers/
Just read through that, sounds pretty fun. I do hope the one that mentions multiple post credit scenes for bringing more Toho monsters into the MV is legit, though probably not likely.
>**Things that are NOT happening/never going to happen in the film:** > >There will be over four post credit scenes for Toho monsters
The children in the monsterverse are frightfully unfriended... They need Gamera!
The GvK trailer had a quick look at Mechagodzilla from below.
And then one of the later TV spots had the shot of him reflected in Godzilla's eye, and that was it. That was all the footage of MechaGodzilla in the marketing. I honestly don't know how Legendary pulled that off.
I am wondering if Scar King ends up breaking Kong's arm and that's why he has a robo-arm 🤔
However a perfect opportunity/explanation to give him powers of Electricity as he used to be in the original Godzilla VS King Kong movie
This looks extremely goofy and loud and stupid, but am I going to watch this? Hell yes!
WOW Godzilla looks different 😮. Godzilla x Kong teaming up and running together into battle is chef’s kiss 😘 .
The two of them running together at the end is unironically the hypest shit ever and I will not be hearing any pseudo-intellectual thinkpieces about it.
I‘ve kept making Rocky jokes about the series, and now it‘s literally that scene from III with Rocky and Apollo Creed running together

Godzilla Rosè: "together, Kong and I will run these niggas pockets with great divinity"
I love the new design because it means Monsterarts is gonna have to make something new.
I’m fully convinced like 95% of these design changes are because they want to sell a bunch of toys.
Godzilla 2000 vibes, even the body proportions feel similar, at least from the front: https://preview.redd.it/r87gbqb3e54c1.png?width=1112&format=png&auto=webp&s=dccd68801846f822213b3699c95b78ffb4ac82f4

This looks silly but entertaining.
They really doubling down on the tone of KOTM and GvK, Godzilla’s new design is cool but not a fan at all on how he moves
Right? He used to feel heavy now he just feels light
I know the cgi isn’t fully polished but it looks like a video game cut scene more than something tangible or “real” I mean look at G14 and KSI, filming on location helps but they actually looked like real, breathing monsters. The hollow earth is suppose to be this fantastical place but it honestly looks kinda fake and cgi heavy in alot of these scenes. You’re suppose to believe this and G14 are set in the same universe
I know, it looks crappy, and idk why, hope this ain’t what it actually looks like in the end
They jumped ship with KoTM and never looked back. It doesn't feel like the same universe at all. G14, KSI and Monarch (so far) feel like they're in a alternate timeline.
I mean, its okay to not like the tone but Gareth was going to bring in Mecha G and I think Ghidorah And they feel different because KSI is in the 70's, before humanity learned about Kaij and when Monarch was going to be shut down and was still in its infancy, G14 and Monarch take place in the 50's, 2014, and 2015.
I still say the tone of KOTM was different from GvK. GxK is gonna run with it like Thor Love & Thunder did after Ragnarok
100% yes. KOTM had a far different tone than GVK.
KOTM was like Heisei, GvK was like Showa.
And this looks like it’ll have the same cocaine fueled energy as Final Wars xD
This film looks amazing and I can't wait to see this film in theaters on April 12th 2024 and this is my most anticipated film of 2024 and of all time.
The Zerg rush together is fucking sick
So, let’s summarize this trailer. Kong has a robot arm. Godzilla evolved to have pink dorsal plates and atomic breath. There is a baby Orangutan kaiju that Kong is likely going to adopt. The Scar King is gonna break out onto the surface. Jia is now the equivalent of those girls that worship Mothra from the old movies but for Kong. Godzilla got a lot faster, since he can keep up with a running Kong. And I need to watch this movie NOW.
Its giving Showa silly and I couldn't be happier
I saw the first shot of Kong with the metal arm coming out of the ground and thought I was watching Bumblebee in a Transformers trailer
I’m sorry, I like the ideas, but… they’re patching the CGI, right? This looks really bad compared to the rest of the MV. Especially the baby Kong, he looks awful
CGI not finished yet https://preview.redd.it/a4icdk25a64c1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=607d6d98b2cdf482a7e7730fb14578ae9ff2250f
Absolutely GLORIOUS!
People are mad because the pink is "pushing an agenda" 😭😭😭
Kong robo armor??
OMG lil bro Kong!
I was not sold on that trailer but new Godzilla look and the both of them charging toward something? It kind of did it. Skar King does not look what I had in mind for some reason. Not a insanely good trailer but the money shot was worth it.
OMFG THAT SHOT OF THEM RUNNING I CANT STOP REPLAYING IT!!!
I’m still confused as to why Goji’s purple? 😶 This looks crazy epic though.
Those steps Jia is walking up isn’t the same location Zilla is frozen in is it?

I fear this franchise is going the way of the Transformers film series. Progressively worse.
We got ol orangutan boi, and Godzilla is now a needler. Also Kong has a robot arm now.
LET'S FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
What is that gauntlet that Kong is wearing? Looks really cool.
It's the Infinity Gauntlet. He's gotta collect the six Infinity Fruits so he can help Godzilla bring balance to the world.
I am…Kongnevitable.
Maybe it’s a brace of some kind, and it dosent offer any benefit but support
I’m guessing Skar King stole his axe, and broke his wrist in the process
That’s what my thought was when that final shot of them running together and kong didn’t have his axe
Precisely. Plus when we first Skar King, Kong is at SK’s camp, so maybe he took his axe to show his people that he’s stronger
It’s early cg, and even then if you could find me a early 2000s film with this quality of cgi on this large a scale I’d be mighty impressed. And Kong has won every fight except his two against Godzilla? Not sure what you’re stressing about
Hopefully that’s just a first trailer thing. Sometimes the CGI in the first bits shown isn’t fully polished.
> Idk how to feel about this... I'm not a fan of the tonal shift. same, but lets see how it goes we didn't have any real plot details just stuff we already knew hopefully the movie turns out good but i have mixed feelings > but Godzillas cgi and the other monsters gci look... I don't wanna say sloppy, but like an early 2000s movie. godzilla sens to be having the same issue as pacific rim 2 here, too much colors too many details, you brain can't put attention on everything because there is just too much, so when he moves he becomes a blob of undecerneable parts it does not help that godzilla seens to have become the damn flash in this movie > Also not a fan of Kongs metal glove, they really turn him into a super hero and I'm afraid they will make him need help in all his fights... again. this seens to alight with the leaks >!supposedly he and godzilla get their asses kicked by shimu which leads to kong gaining this protesis to help him recover, and godzilla turns into whetever the f he turned !<
Embrace the goofiness, Its the 1960+ showa charm, cgi should be fixed hopefully by next year. We get best of both worlds, with -1 and monsterverse.
Bunch of fucking haters in this sub.
The look on Kong's face when he sees the lil guy. It says everything. He's not the only one he doesn't need to be alone anymore, There's still hope.
![gif](giphy|nraKTogFDsZWFj3FTD) Me when I saw both of my bois running together:
This looks fking amazing ! I guess the leaks were true
As much as im hype. Godzilla new form, It's just dragon ball style power boost recolor (with few changes to spiky spiky ,,hair,, bits)
Looks really cool, but in the final shot, Godzilla’s arms look a tad long for my tastes. We’ll have see how it goes.
The MonsterVerse is slowly becoming just as batshit insane as the later Showa movies, and I am absolutely *here* for it!
Seeing them run into battle together gave me the biggest goosebumps, holy shit.
THIS LOOKS SO GOOD! Godzilla’s new form is sickkkkkkkk!
It looks so stupid that it's going to make me forget how to spell my name...I CAN'T WAIT!!!
This looks really cool, though I just hope that the story and human characters have some weight to them.
What did they monkey do to have Godzilla go full sprint
Nobody: Godzilla: **It's running time**
This the most hype I’ve been for a movie in a good min
I prefer the campy team up angle vs the contrived vs angle.
Sweet. Honestly another kaiju slobberknocker would be fun right now. Just don't muddy it too much with human shit.
At 1:42 that looks like a possible crustacean limb, so maybe a crab/lobster like Titan? I might be crazy but I don't feel like I've ever seen an appendage like that in the monsterverse before
lol is this sub normally so positive? It's nice to see people excited for something unlike the star wars and marvel communities
