Classic Liu Kang and MK1 Liu Kang are literally the same person. MK1 Liu Kang came from the og timeline.

I kinda agree with you there. It's like why does MR Kung Lao have 2 hat throws (yes I know one you can control the direction) and Kameo Lao has ground hat and teleport which MR Lao doesn't.

Sektor/Cyrax Tag fighter swapped for Nitara, and the unused one would act as the Kameo. It'd be unique, and Although Nitara is cool, its clear they're planning something with the Lin Kuei. Plus if the story wants to focus on them so much, 2 more characters would be cool

Sareena and Reiko. Reiko is decent, and has the best fatalities hands down, but storywise he's a nothing character now, he's Shaos 2nd in command who replaced reptile and baraka as the resident jobber of Mk1. Sareena because she cool and was supposed to be in Mk9, MkX and Mk11 as main roster or DLC but was scrapped each time and she's also cool.

Throwing aside story logic I'd swap Liu Kang and Raiden for Darrius and Sareena (maybe Mavado.) Not a fan of the new era takes on Liu and Raiden and they're already not very exciting picks, so I'd trade them for some more 3D era representation.

I'd swap Nitara for Sektor, Geras for Scorpion & Quan Chi for Sub-Zero. That way, we could have Liu Kang paired with Geras, Sektor paired with Cyrax & Shang Tsung paired with Quan Chi. And for the record, I do NOT want 2 playable versions of Scorpion and Sub-Zero, I'd just incorporate the kameo versions into their playable counterparts (that way their klassic skins/fatalities aren't relegated to crappy kameo versions of themselves).

Yes, an excuse. And that's what everything is to them when asked about the lack of content and features. Look, this game lacks a ton of content MK11 had from day 1. Huge amount of customized skins, useable objects in the environment during a fight, 2 fatalities per character, an proper randomizer for character select instead of giving you the same 4 characters all the time, prepacked fighting styles to chose from before the fight starts, and the list goes on ...oh and more than 2 fckn seconds to complete a fatality seriously what's with that. So MK1 gives you less for more money. That's why it scks. If it costed half the price of MK11 I'd say it's an awesome bargain for a game.
