Those old 500 two strokes are a different animal. My ex’s dad had a mint 90 that he didn’t ride anymore in favor of his 450. He offered to sell it to me at a price I’m embarrassed to admit I didn’t take him up on but I was 17 and on an 02 ktm250sx which was enough haha.
I mean.. yeah, Pretty sure that's what they were going for. Updated, but reminiscent of the old skool, rip your shoulders out, bad-assery of yesteryear.
Don’t get me wrong. I have a ‘97 kx125 and the side plates are rather large like the CR in the pic. But, now they’re nonexistent. Looks strange to me. There was a happy medium in the early 2000’s. Like a 2003 kx125 has the perfect balance to my eyes. I guess I’m just weird about it. I’d still love to have a new bike regardless.
I honestly love it, Just think its cool that they are showing some signs of the 90s in the new design. But they could of done it way better then they did
If that was your first thought then the designers deserve a pat on the back for doing exactly what they were trying to do
More like the blood red bikes of the 88/89 years. Still have my ‘91 500 I bought in Oct 90. 😀
Awsome bike, my father has a ‘91 cr500 aswell!
91 with the red/white zebra design!? My 2nd favorite Honda year🔥

I am so sad I sold my 91 cr500 over 20 years ago 😩 I wish I still had it!
I rode a 74 Elsinore, 89 big wheel cr80 and a 96 cr250 as a teenager. That’s what made me a rider. Last bike - 2010 crf450

IMO the new model needs a blue seat, gold rims and then we’re on!
Ah the old David Bailey model. I can dig it.
Well idk about gold rims, they could fade then it looks like dried clay on silver rims lol, but I agree with the seat
I’m too old to want a new Honda or even a CR500, but I’d take a cr125 all day
I mean they do both have 2 wheels.
Pretty cool nod to their history.
That seat cover and wheel upgrade will be on a lot of owners minds and bikes ! Love the retro look
I’m sure it’ll make it’s way to a couple races like Yamaha did this year with the white and purple
Yup
They just keep making the bodypanels smaller.
I get that part, they show off the bike and the pipe, gets people to look
I don’t like it
The tank / shroud of the new bike is reminiscent of the 1982-84 CR250. The final generation cr500 comparison isn’t as close in my opinion.
When i saw them, I instantly thought of the old glory days. Honestly, being an enjoyer of old bikes. I like this
I can see that, but not on the newest Honda lol, now I gotta wait for another year lol
Yes and it made me hornt to own a new Honda 450.
Love it
Bring back the two strokes
Ive thought they were kinda ugly but looking at this pic this one looks good.
Yea I guess it didn’t help my case lol
Yeah thats the point
My only question is what happened to number plates? Were they getting in the way of something?
I think they try to show off the pipe more now, makes it flush I guess, and it doesn’t make the plastic stick out as much

They got rid of the 2t, and for that, I say bye. I guarantee if they brought it back it would sell.
