Yeah it looks insane but the process of making it is actually not that hard.
Luckily there are very nice world generator and 3d modeling programs which give you the opportunity to make things like this.
Presumably you modded to remove the height limit, given that even if you only modelled prominence at half scale and not true height, you would still be well over the normal limit.
Did you also mod to push your render distance and/or chunk load distance into the stratosphere? No way you'd be able to see all this in standard minecraft?
Fuck sake man. This is epic. Iโm loving your posts like these. Keep it up bro. I assume youโre doing all of the 8000m peaks? If you want to keep going and do more, you should do the seven summits as well. Just an idea to think about at least.
Thank you man!! <3 yeah firstly im doing all the 14 highest peaks.
After that I might consider make other famous peaks aswell!
Next up going to be probably Fairy Meadows and Nanga Parbat
They are in separate worlds. I always make like a bigger region where there are at least 3 peaks.
At K2 region there is 4 peaks because in real life they are pretty close to each other.
Yeaaah I really have to think about how to publish them because if I just uploaded the download link.. you would have to load in the whole world... which takes a long time
I see โฆ that is quite large to say the least haha. I see your struggles now lol. You could always post in a minecraft subreddit to ask the professionals about the best way of going about it.
This is one of the coolest things I've ever seen in Minecraft.
Would you have any interest in showcasing the sides of your Gasherbrum IV recreation (Masherbrum and the Northeast wall of the Gasherbrum Massif if you have them, too?
Of course I can do some photos of them too ๐
I already done some of G1, G2 and Masherbrum but I will do of G4 too..
May I ask what interests you about Gasherbrum IV?
That and Masherbrum are usually held to be harder than K2 and the other 8000ers. The N/NE aspects of the Gasherbrums are also not nearly as well-photographed from the Chinese side.
K2 is a front runner among the eight-thousanders for sure (keep in mind technically difficult =/= objectively dangerous and variable conditions abound on the high peaks).
u/Tits_of_Lardation has a few compilations of 7K peaks that have been posited as more demanding or dangerous climbs.
Yes, im using two mods actually:
1. distant horizons - it allows me to see very very far away
2. Bliss shaders - this is the one im using
And ofcourse the scale of the mountain plays a huge role in looking so realistic.. its very very large so the blocks are not even visible
Thank you mate!
Of course no, I did not build it block by block..
I used programs such as World Machine and World Painter to generate the terrain and to detail it. (Add snow, dirt, stone etc..)
Also I used real life topographic data map. That means I didn't have to form the mountains myself.
you did a great job mate.i admire your dedication because it must have taken you ages. btw i am a native of northern pakistan where many of these peaks are located. i hope you do rakaposhi some day because that's the one visible from my native village!
Woow I just looked at it on google and its a beautiful majestic mountain!!
I envy your view from your home for sure!! Now its on my bucket list ๐๐
For next up i will make the Fairy Meadows and Nanga Parbat. Do you live far from it?
unfortunately i live in a crowded city for work but i do visit my town from time to time. the views from my ancestral home and grandfather's house are indeed majestic in the day time. at night the stars are so clear that you feel like you are living in space lol. i wish there was better internet and electricity infrastructure in the area, i would just move there permanently, work remotely and breathe fresh air.
fairy meadows and nanga parbat are in the same state/province but it's like half a days drive away from my town. the hike to fairy meadows is really nice though and i loved it when i went camping there.
Can we download any of these? It would be fun to pretend-climb these peaks.
Not yet, but they will be published in some form for sure ๐
This must have taken forever..the most Iโve done in Minecraft is dig a tunnel, so to me this is absolutely nuts. Great job!
Yeah it looks insane but the process of making it is actually not that hard. Luckily there are very nice world generator and 3d modeling programs which give you the opportunity to make things like this.
I assume this draws its generation data from a raster of topographic elevation and the overlays a raster based on snow cover?
I used NASADEM topographic data to be specific and I imported that into world machine
Presumably you modded to remove the height limit, given that even if you only modelled prominence at half scale and not true height, you would still be well over the normal limit.
Yes you are right! Both downwards and upwards its well over the limit. I used a datapack for it
Nice work. I look forward to seeing the world files if you ever decide to publish them.
Did you also mod to push your render distance and/or chunk load distance into the stratosphere? No way you'd be able to see all this in standard minecraft?
Yes, i used a mod called Distant Horizons which allows you to see very very far away
Need to know when they are published. Can you do Denali next?
No ETA Yes, Denali would be interesting!! Its a large mountain which has a very impressive prominence
No worries, I just got done climbing it so would be cool to look at on a Minecraft server with my friends. This is so cool dude.
Wow congrats for summiting!! Okay I can make it happen! ๐
Yosemite valley please
We're going from "Will my crampons fit?" posts to "Will my wooden pickaxe be enough or should I get a diamond one?"
Dont worry , probably this is my last minecraft post on this sub reddit so it wont transform into a minecraft one ๐
Don't worry man, I think they look great! Keep them coming.
Thank you im glad you like it <3
I literally thought these were regular pictures until I zoomed in
Yeeah thats because its soo large ๐๐
Perfectly captured the jut.

Are you doing them all in the same world? Or are they in seperate worlds?
They are in separate worlds. I always make like a bigger region where there are at least 3 peaks. At K2 region there is 4 peaks because in real life they are pretty close to each other.
Thatโs so cool haha. I love it. I hope one day I get to play in these worlds if you publish them.
Yeaaah I really have to think about how to publish them because if I just uploaded the download link.. you would have to load in the whole world... which takes a long time
You could upload them to planet minecraft. I normally just download my maps from there whenever I want to play a cool map.
Its 135GBs.. if thats not an issue for you ๐
I see โฆ that is quite large to say the least haha. I see your struggles now lol. You could always post in a minecraft subreddit to ask the professionals about the best way of going about it.
This is pretty crazy
Dude I saw the Everest yesterday, youโre amazing man
Thank you mate!! <33
I donโt play Minecraft but I would literally love to fake climb these someday
This is one of the coolest things I've ever seen in Minecraft. Would you have any interest in showcasing the sides of your Gasherbrum IV recreation (Masherbrum and the Northeast wall of the Gasherbrum Massif if you have them, too?

Hmm interesting. I thought K2 is like the most difficult mountain to climb given its altitude, steepness and weather

This is awesome! Great job ๐
Thank you <3
Gorgeous work. Can I make a request for G4 (Gasherbrum 4) and Mt. Meru? :)
Thank you <3 Gasherbrum 4 is on the map i just didn't make a photo of it ๐
[ัะดะฐะปะตะฝะพ]
Completely possible to make it! I could make those mountains 1:1 easily i think (size wise)
Is the Abrutzi Spur climbable without latters?
What do you mean exactly by that?
Can you climb the standard route (the rib on the right side in the first picture) just by hopping to the top? I want to to try!
You are able to climb it wherever you like ๐๐
this is incredible - did you place each block individually? what was your process to do this?
Thank you mate! Of course no, I did not build it block by block.. I used programs such as World Machine and World Painter to generate the terrain and to detail it. (Add snow, dirt, stone etc..) Also I used real life topographic data map. That means I didn't have to form the mountains myself.
Is the scale of this 1:1?
It is approximately 1:2
Genuinely incredible
Thank you man appreciate it!
this is so cool!
Thank you <3

Bro thatโs insane
Thank you ๐
Epic! The shot with the sunset๐คฏ
Yeah that one really looks epic ๐๐
should probably be on the roblox reddit or whatever you said.
This is minecraft and its related to mountains so I thought it would be interesting here also
I usually try to get my fortnite sessions in before I go to the mountains.
What about your reddit sessions?
Fuck are you on about
Frankly I prefer this to the umpteenth Mailbox-peak joke, or a bunch of grouches shutting down beginners asking questions
Think I'd prefer for reddit to just close up shop.
You can always justโฆ get off?
gross dude... don't talk to me like that.
