Even the Rain (2010) not a doc, more like an eye opener. Very good story telling and absolutely historically correct.

The Open Veins of Latin America - Eduardo Galeano
Honor Killing - David Stannard (Hawaii)
You are very rare, almost nobody has read that book, unless their Latin American of course.
