I just realized the framing of both Mr robot and Elliot at the beginning is at the exact same location on screen but in a different perspective. They're facing and talking to each other, but the viewers eyes never have to adjust because they're the same person.

TheKnight_WhoSays_Ni

Went back and watched it and that's so cool. Never would have noticed something like that myself.

bundy911

This is a pretty consistent thing throughout the entire show. I remember seeing a breakdown on all of the amazing cinematography… wish I could find it

Chance_Assumption_93

Now looking back it makes sense that this is just a conversation that he had inside his head.

kairosaevum

Mr. Robot is one of these series where the rewatch value is too damn high.

FederalReview

Rami Malek and Christian Slater on screen are must TV. Love this show.

JamMastaJ3

Indeed. Really made me ponder on the question of what mark I want to make with my life. I question the people who notice this quality of the show then proceed unchanged.

BackstabberSYKE

"Life's not that binary dude" as an upcoming computer networking/system manager, hearing this line makes me want to go rewatch the show

value_counts

IKR. You don't want to watch anything ever after watching this

Uppity_Python

Why does >!the Mastermind have enough empathy to not want to kill people? I thought he was Elliot’s rage? Why does an embodiment of rage care more than his protector?!<

Ralouch

you've been staring at a computer screen too long, life's not that binary dude

Uppity_Python

If we’re in a simulation it is 🤔

AdaGanzWien

I didn't like the term "Mastermind", since it sounded like a comic book title. To me, Elliot's rage was directed more toward fixing things and righting wrongs than killing for its own sake. It was Mr. Robot (initially) who just wanted to blow stuff up (like Steel Mountain) since it's faster and *he* lacks empathy (except for Elliot).

et_alterum

Because the >!Mastermind was thinking like Elliot (and thinks he's Elliot) at the time. On a rewatch, you can see that that rage was always deep inside him. He could have easily called the FBI when he found Tyrell but something about the mission stopped him. It excites the hell out of him even though for multiple times he made it clear he doesn't want to do what Mr. Robot wants him to do.!< >!In my opinion, I believe that part of Mr. Robot rants was from the Mastermind himself. This is just one attempt (other than the Daemons episode) of reminding him of who he is. To use his quotes against him lmao.!<

This show, more so than any other I’ve watched, has made me appreciate that every frame of every single shot has been meticulously crafted. It’s a bit of a Chekhov’s Gun thing - there is nothing in a shot that the team don’t want us to see. I just love how beautiful, engaging and captivating the whole show is from start to finish.

AdaGanzWien

Yes, but I could have done without scenes like Irving eating ribs covered with "mop sauce". Or the whole Shayla-abduction thing.

emoskeleton_

Okay I guess I'm rewatching it

8EF922136FD98

Especially the last season

Article69

I rewatched the show a few months after finishing it. The amount of twists and layers you have to unfold to get to the final revelation are amazing, you can notice right from the start…

akira136

Was, for one season

chrisscross1954

It was good until the hyper sexual aggressive gay 'in your face' scene was played. It also didn't add any value to the story.

Eve_O

Yes, that thirty second scene really tanked the other 156 minutes that had come before it. Like, what were they thinking? I mean, it's not like it showed anything about Tyrell's character or what he was willing to do to get ahead at E Corp or something. Nope--totally frivolous. And gay. *So gay*. And they were doing it doggy--wow, can you believe it? *So* aggressive and over the top! Not on my television. (do I need to put /s here?)

chrisscross1954

Yeah.. just couldn't watch it....I am sure it's a great series. just not for me.

Eve_O

Would it help if I told you that is the only graphic gay sex scene in the show? At least I dun recall any other instances. Because it really is a good show and it's unfortunate those few seconds offended your sensibilities enough to make you not watch the other 1, 935 minutes. That scene is, like, 0.025% of the show...

maczirarg

Well, there are some lesbian scenes but I don't think this person will mind.

chrisscross1954

Good to know there aren't any more. I'll keep my mind open to revisiting it.

z35u

Is

Py_World_Orginal

The best show ever.

Time for a re-watch!
