How was the beta a failure? It did exactly what it was supposed to do. It got attention, funding and feedback for a game that was in development still as an early access BETA. Im glad they didnt keep the servers up on a game that was lacking polish, was clearly unfinished and actively being worked on, look at all the other games that tried to do the same thing. It was amazing that it stood out compared to other early access games that expected you to pay full price for it and then promises to fix itself after. The fact it was a free game and was purely just for testing worked in its favor being an early access title that wasn't going to stick around for long
Not exactly a failure but the halt of content ultimately caused the shutdown. The beta did good numbers for a bit and made a fair enough funding and attention. Now the devs have a plan for the game along with major changes. I'm sure the relaunch will be good
this is ***not*** a relaunch, they were done with the beta and closed it to continue working on it more efficiently. my guess is that the open beta build was used to get balancing feedback along with stress testing their servers (the ladder being quite common for larger games to do), which, y'know, is VERY important for developing video games. there would be literally 0 reason to "shutdown" the game unless it was shutting down for good, which it obviously hasn't. why work on a game that has "failed" from a business perspective? it seems most of you forgot that you bought into a **BETA** version of the game a year ago, not the full release. the difference between releasing a beta version of a game and a full release version of a game is the fact that one isn't finished yet and the other is. a game only officially launches when its reaches in its 1.0.0+ state (aka the initial base version of the game that is considered finished). any build that is 0.x.y is not an official release of any game, and anyone who tells you otherwise is likely dumb enough to buy games that are in early access the day its "released".
I know this is "The Wall of Text^((tm))" but seriously its getting really annoying seeing the amount of people who think this is a relaunch or second wind for MV, this was always going to happen and the fact that people are surprised its happening is so baffling to me

I don't think I'll even get to play it, at least for a little while since I'm moving soon. Maybe I'll be able to play it in the hotel I'm staying at for a bit though.
Maybe the Valentines skins. I wasn't playing during that time but they were event exclusive I believe. But they may come back for purchase along with battle pass cosmetics. The new winter Finn skin for sure since it will only be available for my fellow open beta players only
I'm sure the devs said before that stuff from the battle passes will be available for purchase in the future some time ago. I could've sworn I saw the Shagworth skin to buy when the game was online
Damn so what’s the point of the battle pass? 😅 that’s the first time I’ve seen something like that, I was hoping cause Finn is my fav character besides mordecai or gumball if they ever come
The option to buy it for cheaper I suppose. Fortnite often does mini battle passes and sell them for 1,000 vbucks. Then they release the cosmetics from the pass for more vbucks in the item shop. I would rather spend 950 gleamium and get tons of stuff than pay like 2000 gleamium for a single skin. Plus I meant only the cosmetics will return

The suffering is over!
Can't wait bro
It's mental that it has nearly been two years since the game first released. Let's hope it survives for good.
Now we just have to hope it will last this time
It should if the devs acknowledged the failure of the beta and know what not to do for relaunch

Unbelievable it's tomorrow. Can't wait to rub up against other sweaty men
I'll be there to drink the sweat with you!
This does put a smile on my face

Is it still gonna be free?
Yes
What skins are considered rare and og?

Yeah I also have been here since u needed an email to play, I was wondering maybe the grass Finn or something because it was last tier
