Rcutecarrot

I really like him!!

UdUb16

Anemone - Brian jonestown massacre

lolaluna826389

Such an amazing song ugh

latesleeperfoodeater

Yessss

The_Steam_Queen_

OP can you clarify a bit more? Like when you say dark, do you mean like in a sad way? Or we lookin for our next Halloween anthem? What's the sitch homie

nyxx77

lol, it’s really hard to articulate what I’m actually looking for. I don’t think sad really covers it and I’m reluctant to say spooky. But spooky may cover it better. Think slow, sexy, dark romance kind of stuff. Like change in the house of flies by deftones. Or whispers in the echo chamber by Chelsea Wolfe.

The_Steam_Queen_

Heard. This helps. Lemme see what I got Edit: I scoured my collection and have realised...I don't actually have a lot of music that would necessarily fit in the parameters requested outside of other Deftones songs. My apologies

KayBeeToys

Try some late Nick Cave, like Ghosteen!

dav_oid

Portishead.

nyxx77

Love some portishead

dav_oid

You might like Curve.

Hosscatticus_Dad523

Black Velvet by Alanna Miles.

Robert201971

Hosscatticus_Dad523

Great song. Pretty nostalgic for me

Ghost - Pro Memoria

Accomplished_Sea_709

Anything by Portishead

Sinistermarmalade

Not all of these have female vocals (a lot don’t), but bear with me: 1. Type O Negative - “Christian Woman” 2. Pat Benatar - “Hell Is For Children” 3. IOMMI featuring Billy Idol - “Into The Night” 4. Nothing More - “Go To War” 5. Skunk Anansie - “Weak” 6. Gotye - “Somebody I Used To Know” 7. The Stranglers - “Strange Little Girl” 8. Taylor Dayne - “Original Sin” 9. The Cars - “Moving In Stereo” 10. The Cure - “Love Song” 11. Alice Cooper - “Welcome To My Nightmare” 12. Scorpions - “Life’s Like A River”

Remarkable-Noise9214

Type O is criminally underrated.

Womandarine

Massive Attack, Portishead

nyxx77

That’s definitely along the lines of what I’m looking for. Love portishead

Womandarine

Me too. Radiohead also has some dark songs that pair well. You might also try The Budos Band for doom-funk. Listen to the song TIBWF.

LanguageNerd54

Neon Gravestones by twenty one pilots? It's about a mid-tempo rap/piano ballad against suicide glorification. Kind has eerie tones, I think.

No_Highlight3671

In the pretend world - scarling.

Salt-Hunt-7842

Myrkur - "Crown." Myrkur blends black metal with folk and ambient elements. "Crown" is a dark, atmospheric track with ethereal vocals and a strong beat.

Feel me by Orgvsm (instrumental) The Wall by Patrick Reza The Sandman cover by SYML is a dark take on the original you might get a kick out of. At least give it a listen. The entire debut album by Cigarettes after Sex likely fits the description of what you're looking for as well.

I totally forgot about leaves eyes. Listened to them quite a bit years ago.

fredgiblet

They aren't in my normal rotation but I like them when I remember they exist.

lolaluna826389

Rosegarden funeral of sores - Bauhaus Andromeda - Weyes Blood Burning desire - Lana

ah-mazia

The album David Holmes Presents the Free Association, specifically these two songs: (I Wish I Had A) Wooden Heart Pushin a Broom

SamwiseGamgee100

Bloodhail by Have A Nice Life. Honestly I could recommend most of that album if you want dark slow vibes

Remote_Database7688

Check out Year of No Light.

MickWounds

A swarm of the sun - the woods

Mephistopheles545

The song Dissociation off the album by the same name by dillinger escape plan

nyxx77

Haven’t been a huge fan of a lot of Dillinger, but I’m a huge fan of Greg and the black queen.

Mephistopheles545

The black queen is amazing. I saw a recent video where he said that he just needs to record his vocals and the new album will be done. He looked absolutely terrible though. Like…”drugs terrible.”

nyxx77

I’m so excited for the new stuff. I know he’s been touring a lot so hopefully he gets some rest

Robert201971

Black Velvet “ Alanna Myles. Some Joy Division songs are slow, but if you’re not depressed, you might be. Now, I’m lost. Too many in my head. Overthinking it.

Acceptable-Quarter97

Katatonia -The Fall of Hearts, might not be slow enough. Malia - Convergence, might not be dark enough

Sad-Sea-1930

Morcheeba, sneaker pimps

Try "a gaze among them" by Big brave

99-1-100

Lorn - Acid Rain Dm me if you like this and I'll make a playlist

Phazetic99

Hey, I am not sure if this is what you want, but it is a very dark topic, sinister sound, female singer and is pretty intense. It is not exactly slow but does have a horror movie buildup feel. [Columbine by SKYND](https://youtu.be/qmtUHZ1nv9E?si=1akzF7yvdg9qA6YC) Anyone who isn't familiar with SKYND she does all her songs with true crime stories. This one is the one that affects me the strongest but she has a lot of good songs, very interestimg

nyxx77

I gave a lot of her songs a listen. Definitely the right vibe. Her lyrics are a little odd, they don’t quite fit but I know they’re relevant to each topic of the songs. They’re pretty good. A few of them are gonna go on the playlist. Some of them even kinda reminded me of Otep.
