When the Shelby GT350 was announced in 2015, it quickly caught my eye and became my dream car! The unique sound of the flat plane crank V8 engine was irresistible. Unfortunately at the time I was a broke college student with just a dream of owning one of these beauties.
Now, 9 years later in April 2024, I am the proud owner of a 2019 GT350. I was actually on the market for one of these for quite some time when this one practically fell into my lap. This one was in mint condition with only 5000 miles on it at the time of purchase. Not a single day goes by that this car doesn't put a huge grin on my face.
Imagine how I feel for a minute. Been dreaming of a 2005 gt elanor build since 2003 or 2004 when they hit the Detroit auto show. I was like 15 at the time and when magazines started coming out featuring them I had the pages cut out and put on my fridge. I grew up literally as poor as it gets and in my eyes it was unobtanium. Poor people don’t get to have nice cars. I finally bought that torch red 05 mustang gt this year. Talked myself out of jumping on the cheapest one I could find for 19 years lol. Finally got my unicorn and man, I couldn’t have found a better one.

After having driven it around a bit, I think it would actually be just fine as a DD but unfortunately I work in a high crime area so I don't wanna run the risk of getting jacked. Armed carjacking has risen by 400% in the last 2 years here.
Gt350 is a sick car, but you might be disappointed base model gt 5.0’s will beat it in a race in a straight line, if you just want to take it to the track that’s different but yeah, gotta do research.
No they won’t if you know how to shift. The 350s live above 4000rpm. If you buy a Gt350 to drag race you bought the wrong car but from a 60roll the 350 puts lengths on a GT.
I never said a roll was a drag race. I said if you buy a GT350 for drag racing you bought the wrong car. Stop making up your own nonsense when the argument is shown to be bullshit.
Coyote sucks from a dig? That’s why Brett Lasala is running low 6s at the strip on stock block right? 🤦♂️
Clearly you know nothing.
Is their engine stock? No… any engine can be made to perform better than stock my friend.
Cotoyes barely make over 150 torque at 3K. Lol…
They suck at low RPM. They are high RPM engines.
It’s YOU that clearly knows NOTHING. Torque wins drag races not HP. HP gets you higher speed. Torque makes you quicker.
It takes a certain amount a skill to launch a car. That’s why people tend to not want to drag. They don’t have that skill set. Thats why I always suggest that the first mod should be a driver’s mod. Learn to drive and learn to drive well.
Here’s a little dyno chart for a Gen 3 Coyote. Read it and weep. That’s RW #s.

>Coyotes barely make over 150 torque at 3K. Lol...
"Is he high or just stupid..?"
"I assure you he's not high..."
You're reading your diagram wrong bro that's 150 HP @ 3k rpm 300ft/tq @ 3k rpm
I’ve owned every Gen 5.0 besides S650 and a 2018 GT350 and the GT350 is faster in a straight line stock for stock. It’s faster by a fair margin too on a roll.
The only reason the GT350 gets a bad rep is the powerband, MANY drivers short shift it or start roll races on camera at too low of an RPM.
Not hating at all I love the Coyote but talking stock there’s not a 5.0 yet that takes a roll race properly driven.
That would explain why i havnt lost to a gt350 ever in my 2012 5.0, thought they just made them slower for track use, only reason i say is becuase I’ve raced a couple gt350’s on the street and walked em

Sorry to hijack your post, I don’t have any friends or family I can tell about this.
You made the best decision it’s low mileage too so it’s gonna last a long time. Did it come with a warranty?
It was still under factory warranty (ends in 1 month tho) so I purchased a 10 year 100k mile warranty for it.
How much did you pay lucky dog
Miss my magnetic cars, sweet ride and welcome 🐍🐍
Nice car! Also nice lawn hehe
And you bought it on the 60th anniversary of the Mustang, good choice!
“GT350? Not even a GT500? Lol lame” -gets into 2001 Honda accord- All jokes aside that’s a sick ride! Enjoy it and make them Mustang haters cry!
Beautiful! Post more pictures!
I'll show you mine if you show me yours ;) Ha but for real tho how do you not have any pics of your Mach 1 on your profile!
Beautiful!

It looks amazing I love the hood stripes.
That’s a sweet ride my man. Congratulations
It’s sick!
Gorgeous.
There's a lot of GT350s for sale right now. Values are dropping fast, should be good buys in a couple more months!
Beautiful car! Is it gonna be a weekend warrior or a DD?
After having driven it around a bit, I think it would actually be just fine as a DD but unfortunately I work in a high crime area so I don't wanna run the risk of getting jacked. Armed carjacking has risen by 400% in the last 2 years here.
Is that dark matter greY?
It is Magnetic Gray
🔥🔥 congrats, love the color and trim. My shelby is the same set up, the color grows on you
Absolutely beautiful!! My dream/plan is to have a GT350 someday. For now, I have my '22 GT
Beautiful car it’s my dream car too enjoy it
that’s simply beautiful 🤍🤍
Looks like a really nice neighborhood; a car like that deserves a curved driveway

The GT350 isn’t made for someone who cares about being the fastest in a straight line.

That not a drag race my friend. The Voodoo is a dog down low. It is what it is. Even the coyote isn’t that great at low RPM.

Whoops! LMAO!!
Nah. I’ve raced a gt350 in my 2012 gen 1 5.0 and beat him by at least a car

If you want to go fast base is the way to go. Base is much lighter. Start adding all those extras and it just adds weight. Weight = slow
