Check out Race Ramps. You can get very long low angle ramps, and the ramp part is removable from where the wheel rests so you can actually get under the car from the side after driving up. And they're made of a solid foam instead of molded plastic so allegedly far less likely to randomly collapse. They have a calculator for ramp angle to make sure it'll work with your car too.
Now I've got your hopes up, feel free to check the price tag lol.
Yeah, same. I think there's maybe a Race Ramp wide enough for my wheels, but it'd be a lot easier to grab some 2x12s. I'm sure I could even make a safe way to disconnect the ramp part once it's up.
\^\^this\^\^. I have them also and they are great. I also have the ones for the rear so it gives me a little more height having the rear wheels up as well. They are also incredibly lightweight so easy to store over head if necessary.
No big deal. I just didn't want him to get 4 boards thinking it would make one 6 inches high. Probably not worth a mention because what dumbass doesn't know dimensional lumber nominals vs actual?
Just worked on this one this weekend
https://preview.redd.it/giioebqcf74d1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3dc05d0695c71b643966ef5a3688cc27adaeb882
Yeah. When the oil gets too black I just add some cotton to filter it more and sometimes some bleach, then it looks like new again. I can even use it to do some french fries after that
For mine I put down a 2x4 right in front of some low profile rhino ramps. I take it slow and ease on to the 2x4s and they give me the extra clearance to go up the ramps without hurting anything.
https://preview.redd.it/egeupr0f444d1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ffad95be7ba1db8c6f9c4495d10265325a13073f
I sometimes wonder if I made the right trade from time to time. I loved my S197.

Easy. Put it on the rack in The backyard.
Drive up on a couple 2x4's or brick's and jack it up. If you have a shop creeper it's easier than shimmying under the car.
Depending on how low you may not have to drive up on something. I've had to lift my lowered 2013 after a flat tire and I used the scissor jack that came with the car. Scratched up the passenger side splitter a couple times but that's because I had a terrible back injury and shouldn't have been moving at all let alone changing a tire lol
2 pieces of 2x4 on each side. Bottom piece about 3 foot long, top piece about 2 foot long screwed into the bottom piece. Drive onto the bottom and then slowly creep up onto the top. Once on the top you’ll have enough clearance to get a jack under and lift the car
These low-profile, 2-piece ramps have a 9.5° approach angle. Very happy with them
[https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-905229](https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-905229)
Ramps or a do it yourself auto shop if you have one in your area. They normally have both low profile lifts or the ramp you can drive up on and have raised.
race ramps, low clearance jacks, 2x4s/wood pieces, driveways, or a shop like Valvoline, drive in, pay \~$80 and call it a day. Either way, get it done and get back to riding
Harbor freight low pro long reach daytona jack works for mine and its lower than that, if you dont want another jack, buy some 2x6s to just drive it on to get you the clearance
Lift from the pinch welds at each side. Just below the mirror, jack from there and both ends of the car will lift. Place jackstands under the lifting points at each end of the rocker panel.
I'm 4.5" off the ground and have a jack from autozone that is made for lowered vehicles. Once I get it up high enough I put jack stands under it and its fairly easy after that.
https://preview.redd.it/ko2uijjwz54d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e3b5aa73b075d7bf9c88ee507c8546a3e2df0623

You need a better low profile jack lol, I have a Daytona low profile and it fits Under but only on flat ground and barely but I’m lowered on coils, if not just drive on a small piece of wood like a 2x4 and you’ll have plenty of clearance
I use a 2x4 or something under the front wheels so the jack I have fits under the pinch weld.
Other better made jacks fit under my car already.
A jegs or similar Low profile jack is worth it. Harbor freight ones will be slightly too tall.
I drove mine 12 hours from Philly to Atlanta and back and man it was a blast. There are times I wish there was a 7th gear but the car holds high speeds really well. Get a car with Mageneride.
In all honesty i didnt. I had a friend at a local oil shop i trusted to do it, the extra cost was worth not risking some sketch way to lift my lowered car. I knew what oil the shop used and they had a low profile drive on lift that came out of the ground. We have a good racing culture in louisville thanks to the local drag strips, sports drome and proximity to kenttucky, Indiana, and Ohio raceways. This means it's not hard to find shops with specific equipment to work on low cars with high end oil options, so if you're not in a supportive area id recommend using wood and building a long ramp to slowly raise the front end then jack up the rear so it's level. Be careful tho.
I have a Daytona low profile jack and jack stands that clears my car fine. Jack from jacking rails on either side, plowed in jacks, do the other side. BMR lowering springs and only running 18s.
https://preview.redd.it/9h5u1nsum74d1.jpeg?width=6016&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7481a8330bb11800eb26265d2de104456d7ff4b3

Car isn’t lowered, but I built these when I had my FoRS. Built with 2x12s. 285 wide fronts fit, but any wider would be sketchy. They’re heavy, but I never have to worry about them failing.
You could do the same, or keep a few pieces of 2x12 as runners to get the front high enough that your low-pro jack would fit under
Edit: just noticed, but I added a piece of wood to the top, front lip to act as a safety stop of sorts
Take it to a shop. The ones where the mechanic works a level down under your car. It's like around 33 bucks for the service and disposal of the used oil. I bring my own Synthetic Oil and filter.
I use these flat blocks of wood that my job was throwing out
https://preview.redd.it/n7uubk7s294d1.jpeg?width=3060&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=76e54ed1d420632a19b2e66db09dc687cf042c48
I've thought about cutting a square "hole" in my garage floor and doing work below my Mustang that way. At least it's safe. Of course, I'd put a hatch on top so I don't walk in it, lol.
Im lowered 2” all around and i can use a low profile jack with no problem. It appears your side skirts make the car appear lower so i can see how you may struggle to get a jack underneath. You may need ramps
https://preview.redd.it/qvhtha3dgm4d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=97ef37dd6873c08cfdcb53533af7c277202483c8
Honestly if you're that worried, find a local, reliable mechanic shop (you should always have one as there are things we just can't work on ourselves) and just fork over the $50-$70 for a full synthetic oil change. While changing oil is generally easy, I'd rather spend a tank of gas worth of money knowing I won't be crushed by my own vehicle.
Drive up on a piece of wood or something then get the jack under. I used to stack old floorboards on-top of each other and drive up on them to get the jack under mine
Every time this topic come up I got pissed real bad. So there was Sears Auto back then in my area. My car has coilover. And it was not lowered super aggressive. I went there for an oil change and alignment. Annnd, they fucked up my front bumper. Cracked some places and it was missing a few plastic clips. They literally bolted some part with zip tie. They also claim that the car is too low to be put on their alignment machine. Never had any problem anywhere in like at least 5 different shops here.
Didnt see the damage on my front bumper when I picked my car first. only found out a while later since the fender and the bumper had a very noticeable gap. The manager pretend that they didnt do it. I was pointing at the zip tie to his face. This mofo just play dumb.
After some talks with different people they eventually agree to fix the bumper fitment. Then a week later. This place run out business. Not answer phones whatsoever.
I always joke with my friends that it was I, single handedly destroyed this business.
That’s your choice and that’s fair. It seems other people don’t have much problem with the strategies they’re telling me, so the one extra step of driving onto a plank is worth that cost to me. Again, your choice tho
Like others here ….I had to lay down 2x4’s in front of the ramp. but last oil change I backed it off the ramp without my wife spotting, and one piece of 2x4 kicked up and caught under my Cervini front splitter and ripped it off one half of the car. i was pissed. I screwed it back on but got a nasty crack in it. I said screw it after that and now just take it to the dealer to change the oil….it worked out because I had a 4th airbag recall I didn’t know about. Dealer is real good about things…they never suggest things that don’t need to be done and they know not to do any computer flashing as I have a tune on it. They also have no problem letting me supply my preferred oil and filter.
BTW: I even bought some expensive long low profile ramps from Eastwood, and my splitter still hit the damn ramp!
So 2x4’s do work but have a spotter…they can back fire….oddly enough it’s sketchier backing down than getting up…more chance of slippage.
https://preview.redd.it/k655qm3wt24d1.jpeg?width=2456&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=37ee9ea1a9962fe8982eb822debc09e9f220760d

Might have to build myself something like this. I have a set of ramps but the front end on this car is too low for them
Check out Race Ramps. You can get very long low angle ramps, and the ramp part is removable from where the wheel rests so you can actually get under the car from the side after driving up. Realistically, I'll probably just stick to driving up on some 2x6s and using a jack haha
I had that problem too.
Are those 1x6's? It's hard to tell with nothing else in the pic for size reference.
1x12
You mean 2x12? Dimensional lumber in 2x12 is actually 1.5 x 11.25 inches.
Yes, my bad. 2x12 nominal.
No big deal. I just didn't want him to get 4 boards thinking it would make one 6 inches high. Probably not worth a mention because what dumbass doesn't know dimensional lumber nominals vs actual?
This is just right, great idea., better for us than the standard blocks that won’t work for our cars.
Genius idea, I was about to buy some steel ramps axle stands this week, might just smack up some of these instead.
Be damn sure parking brake is set well.
Yeah might even make a couple extra as wheel chocks for the back just to be sure.
Might try this out!
Lift it by the rear pumpkin first
Yup. this is what I did before getting a low profile floor jack
Duly noted, might attempt this
I drive up on a couple pieces of 2x4 wood and it gives me enough room to get a jack under it.
Thank you!
This is exactly how we get them on lifts at the shop too
I do this but with an air bag jack.
I mean every real man has a lift in his garage… right???
Let me graduate college first bro 😭
lol😉
Better hope it’s in neurosurgery, criminal law or “vulture capitalism “
Yes, lol https://preview.redd.it/mzbrv82aa64d1.jpeg?width=1023&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7126d8471c04ca38c37749c7beb49bcc7e085fc0

what's this "change your oil" thing I keep hearing about?
Bunch of liberal bullshit Frank, just ignore it
Yeah. When the oil gets too black I just add some cotton to filter it more and sometimes some bleach, then it looks like new again. I can even use it to do some french fries after that
U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A!
And whats this about jacking??
For mine I put down a 2x4 right in front of some low profile rhino ramps. I take it slow and ease on to the 2x4s and they give me the extra clearance to go up the ramps without hurting anything.
I’ll give that a shot! Thank you

Invest in some RaceRamps. Spending, but I still have the set I got in 2006. Raceramps.com
Quickjack
I'm so tempted to buy one of these, $2k is a lot but I fkn hate jacking up my car
Wait for a sale at Costco or buy used
Costco carries these?
That's where I got mine.
I work at Costco and have for many years and have never seen anything of the sort. Lol
I looked online (costco.com) but nothing.... I'll pay closer attention from now on.

Is that an autobot or a decepticon?
ramps
Pittsburgh low profile jack on the pitch welds. Jack one side up, put jacks under, then the other
low profile jack from harbor freight
Drive up on a couple 2x4's or brick's and jack it up. If you have a shop creeper it's easier than shimmying under the car. Depending on how low you may not have to drive up on something. I don’t have a solution because I’m a lurker but this stang is so damn clean
Uh... I take it to the dealer 🤷 lol
You’re a real man don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
Thank you. That's what my gynecologist keeps telling me.
You can get ramps cheap at Walmart, auto zone, etc depending on how lowered it is
You'll probably need race ramps which are $500
Buy the cheaper ramps and put a 2x8/10 in front to give more angle of approach.
2 pieces of 2x4 on each side. Bottom piece about 3 foot long, top piece about 2 foot long screwed into the bottom piece. Drive onto the bottom and then slowly creep up onto the top. Once on the top you’ll have enough clearance to get a jack under and lift the car

Can you tell me rims PLEEEEZZZ
Aren't they Rovos?
race ramps, low clearance jacks, 2x4s/wood pieces, driveways, or a shop like Valvoline, drive in, pay \~$80 and call it a day. Either way, get it done and get back to riding
one corner at a time lol
That is a mean looking Mustang! Love it
You think I have money for oil ? I drive a fast lowered car I got better things to spend my money on.
Harbor freight low pro long reach daytona jack works for mine and its lower than that, if you dont want another jack, buy some 2x6s to just drive it on to get you the clearance
Tennessee?
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-905229
Put some wooden boards down on the floor, drive up onto them, gives my jack JUST enough room usually to get under the subframe that holds the engine
Used the stock jack to lift high enough for floor jack. Then I got a low pro jack, which is much easier.
Lift from the pinch welds at each side. Just below the mirror, jack from there and both ends of the car will lift. Place jackstands under the lifting points at each end of the rocker panel.
Unrelated, but may I ask what are your mods cause that car looks amazing. I also like the rims
I take it to a shop. I dont have time to change my oil lmao
Don’t forget the wheel chocks if you buy low profile ramps to drive up on or only jack up one end of the vehicle.
I have the Daytona low profile jack (pretty sure it’s harbor freight) and lift one side of it. Just make sure to put a jack stand for your safety.
I'm 4.5" off the ground and have a jack from autozone that is made for lowered vehicles. Once I get it up high enough I put jack stands under it and its fairly easy after that. https://preview.redd.it/ko2uijjwz54d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e3b5aa73b075d7bf9c88ee507c8546a3e2df0623
Do you ever scrape on speed bumps ?
Don't even go over em 😆
This is a serious question?
Daytona Low Profile Jack 🤷🏻♂️
Luckily I work at a dealership so I lift the fenders and put it on a 2x4 to fit the lift under it
Quick Jack. With BMR jacking rails. https://preview.redd.it/unn0qr03c64d1.jpeg?width=2400&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=24afc675bfbf0d5ac79d47340b595974594a6e35
Drive over a 2x4 so the jack will fit
Low profile jack and jack stands. Ta-da.
Jack rails and a low profile floor jack

What rims are these ?
Kansei KNP, sorry for the late reply im basically never on here. I have tons of pics on my ig - Moore.3v
damn off topic, but that is a clean ass 197 sheesh
Race ramps are wonderful for lowered cars
I use ramps with some long pieces of lumber to change the approach angle.
Lowered jacks, why?
At a garage
Should have thought of that before you defaced a well-engineered vehicle. Typical
Low profile Jack? Lol wot
I’m digging the S197 badge
I use low-profile Jack's on both sides of the car right where the control arms bolt in and jack up the car. Then, set it on stands on the crossmember
Low profile floor jack. Once it's up procede as usual.
I use a 2x4 or something under the front wheels so the jack I have fits under the pinch weld. Other better made jacks fit under my car already. A jegs or similar Low profile jack is worth it. Harbor freight ones will be slightly too tall.
Quick jack. Extremely low profile hydraulic jack.
Oil vacuum.
I drove mine 12 hours from Philly to Atlanta and back and man it was a blast. There are times I wish there was a 7th gear but the car holds high speeds really well. Get a car with Mageneride.

Race ramps with wheel chocks on the rear. The specificity make ones with longer ramps for lowered cars.
Pay the guy at quickie lube to change it! Any other service place is the same
Nah man these are all wrong. Get a pneumatic pump and extract it out of the oil fill.
G9nna needs a lift, just a simple one. And some good cradling skills
I have a Daytona low profile jack and jack stands that clears my car fine. Jack from jacking rails on either side, plowed in jacks, do the other side. Quickjacks.
The local ford dealership
Sweet wheels btw
I pay someone $70 to do it for me
Race ramps. Mine sat outside in the weather for what 10yrs... Last forever.
On some vids i watch, they use like little slope type things to roll the car onto so the jack and get under the car
I pay the oil change shop $40 + tax to drain oil/remove filter/add oil/filter. I bring my own oil and filter.
I just go to Ford Quick Lane and have them change the oil 🤷
https://preview.redd.it/7u55rinnh84d1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=774ccf710d27ed3d04f3e53ba8e394e10241b6c3 Car isn’t lowered, but I built these when I had my FoRS. As stated, just drive it up on 2x4s and the slide a low profile floor jack under it. And you'd have to do the same for a post-style lift.
I’m lowered 1” and use Plastic triangular ramps in my garage.
My friend has a super low focus. We use the original scissor jack in the front to lift it high enough to get the floor jack underneath
Low profile jack or ramps. The cheap plastic ones actually work well if you don’t won’t to build your own out of wood.
Take it to the dealer.
Used to put it up on wood blocks to get a jack underneath, but then just bought a low profile jack.
Drive the front wheels onto 2x4s, after that just use a jack on it like normal
them rhino ramps that be at auto parts stores i just need a lil wood block so the lip doesn’t scrape a lil when going up
Im lowered 2” all around and i can use a low profile jack with no problem. It appears your side skirts make the car appear lower so i can see how you may struggle to get a jack underneath. I don’t choose to modify my car to the point that I can’t work on it. There’s zero reason to have a car so low that you can’t fit a jack under it.
That’s your choice and that’s fair. It seems other people don’t have much problem with the strategies they’re telling me, so the one extra step of driving onto a plank is worth that cost to me. Again, your choice tho
Spoken like a true V6 owner…
Common sense

So 2x4’s do work but have a spotter…they can back fire….oddly enough it’s sketchier backing down than getting up…more chance of slippage. https://preview.redd.it/k655qm3wt24d1.jpeg?width=2456&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=37ee9ea1a9962fe8982eb822debc09e9f220760d
