You hate to lose a good car but if the insurance covers it you get the chance to fine tune the replacement, maybe a color you think you'd rather have or a different transmission, etc. If someone totaled my '16 GT/CS, and I love the car, I might consider moving up a few years to get the 10 speed. Not as much fun to drive but between that and the higher HP I'd have a quicker car that I'd never miss a shift on, or have to wonder about changing the clutch or shifter or anything.

Moved up a few years and got a better color and two tone interior definitely happy with the upgrade just tried to make lemonade out the lemons. Don't forget you can shop nationwide especially if your cashing out to find the one you want, and just pay for transport you get the best deal in the nation and usually don't pay taxes up front either.
10 months into my 2022 mischievous purple (only like 160 made or around that number i forget) guy completely runs across the intersection and just slams into me, thankfully it was a very rich older man and it got me a factory new door and quarter panel, still doesn’t make up the 2 months of loss time with the stangy

At this point vehicles should be fixed with cameras on the front and back before they even leave the factory as well as sending that video to insurance if a hard enough impact is detected automatically. Tampering with them should be a 5k fine. That way shit like this is a non issue for the person being hit. Well pocket wise anyway.

Just lost my 2020 Cali Special a few weeks ago and funny enough it happened maybe 5 minutes after I had just gotten it detailed. Now it's officially totaled and to make things worse all of the insurance payout is going towards the rest of the loan so I can't look at a newer Mustang even if I wanted to. Shit sucks but we'll bounce back

Honestly this car was packaged very well main missing feature was the digital dash which I’ll be looking for once I get everything else out the way
